The property

With spell binding sea views from every room, Glanville House is an exceptional property.

Positioned on the harbour front in the charismatic village of Mevagissey, this luxurious residence could not be closer to the water and is the perfect venue for families and groups seeking an elegant coastal retreat.

With direct access to the harbour just a moments walk will take you to the centre of this bustling fishing village where there are an overabundance of cafes, old inns, gift and curio shops as well as family friendly and fine dining restaurants, all being able to take advantage of the fishing trade on the doorstep. What could be more fun than a fishing trip departing from the harbour in the summer months then cooking up the catch that evening or perhaps hopping on a ferry for lunch across the bay in the fabulous waterfront town of Fowey.

The nearest sandy beaches are at Penstreath just outside the village and Pentewan, just over two miles by car or less on the coast path, both offering a fun day out whatever the weather.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the infamous Eden Project are both within 10 miles and well worth a visit during you stay. Completely refurbished, Glanville House offers beautifully presented accommodation arranged over three floors.

From the moment you step through the door into the open plan kitchen/dining room with its handmade kitchen the quality of craftsmanship is apparent.

From here French windows open to the beautiful enclosed terrace which is an oasis of calm offering a high degree of privacy above the activity of the harbour below.

Throughout the house high quality furnishings are complemented by antiques, artwork and unusual artefacts.

Deep mattresses and crisp white linens complete the picture.

Unloading is possible outside the house and cars can be parked at a nearby car park (around 500 metres away) at a cost of around £40 per vehicle per week.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
