“The moorings is a superb holiday home in a beautiful setting in Lovely Lostwithiel.”

We received a welcome text from Vivienne which was a lovely way to begin our holiday. The Moorings is welcoming and well laid out with everything, and more, that we needed. The attention to detail shows a host committed to her guests happiness. The welcome gift was a lovely surprise. There was a cream tea. Local jam a small cookery book and a bottle of Prosecco. The little duck will be a treasured memory of our stay at Moorings. Thank you so much, It would be remiss of me not to mention ...

The attention to detail shows a host committed to her guests happiness. The welcome gift was a lovely surprise. There was a cream tea. Local jam a small cookery book and a bottle of Prosecco. The little duck will be a treasured memory of our stay at Moorings. Thank you so much, It would be remiss of me not to mention the cookery books. There is a collection of cookery books on the shelves in th kitchen. I love cooking and so enjoyed browsing those books. We were so comfortable at Moorings and loved sitting on the patio overlooking the river with a bottle of wine. Moorings is well situated for exploring and has restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed an excellent curry at Sunny Spice and dinner at The Restormel Kitchen on our last evening. An evening there is a must. If you wish to leave the car then the train station is very close. We loved the trains and they were fun to watch when in the kitchen. Just in case someone thinks thats too close for trains it’s not a problem. No noise hassle Moorings is triple glazed but even with the window open it’s not a problem. We actually miss them. Vivienne has thought of everything to make sure guests have a wonderful stay at Moorings. Parking is easy. It’s outside the front door. A short walk over the bridge and there is an excellent Coop store. The town butchers is superb and there is a delicatessen. The Mess Hall coffee shop and courtyard is fantastic. The Globe Inn does great food and lovely for a drink. The ice cream shop which can be seen from Moorings serves heavenly ice cream. The fact is there is NOTHING not to love about Moorings and we look forward to returning very much. Thank you Vivienne. Best wishes, Pamela and Michael.
