The property

Benefitting from all the necessities required to enjoy a fuss-free, self-catered stay, with accommodation for up to five guests, Tinners Haven welcomes families and friends alike for a memorable stay in this lovely region.

A terraced miners cottage that has been lovingly renovated and has a beautiful south facing front garden with mature trees and shrubs, bistro table and chairs, and a granite seat, perfect for a morning cuppa.

There is also a private split level rear garden with a hedge to the rear which backs onto fields and pastures.

This has a patio area with garden table and chairs, a wooden pergola seat, which also catches the sun for a large part of the day, a perfect place to relax.

There is a rotary washing line, and a small shed housing the outdoor seat cushions.

There is a drive for parking of one large car at the front of the cottage.

Downstairs is a plush south-facing lounge, which has exposed beams, wooden floor, and a large sofa, two chairs, an electric stove-effect fire, and a flat screen digital Freeview TV and Blu-ray DVD player and WiFi.

There is a well-equipped kitchen/diner, with fitted units, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, washing machine, electric oven and hob, iron, and ironing board.

There is also a downstairs shower-room, with shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.

Inside, there are three bedrooms, the master has a king-sized bed, and overlooks the back garden and fields behind looking towards Carn Marth, the hill overlooking the village.

This room is en-suite having a bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin.

Overlooking the front garden are two further bedrooms, one has a double bed and one a single.

The property has electric night storage radiators. The property is well-equipped for up to five people to enjoy a relaxing stay, however the stairs are quite steep so it would not be suitable for children under five years old. If you fancy exploring the local area, head out on foot or enjoy a bike ride along the Coast to Coast Cycle Trail that connects Portreath to Devoran; explore Mount's Bay or the numerous fishing villages and secluded coves scattered along the Lizard Peninsula; or delight in a tranquil day spent fishing or sailboarding at Stithians Lake, an impressive site overlooked by the breathtaking viewpoint of Carn Brea.

Your journey to the seaside starts at Tinners Haven.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

LANNER

Redruth 2 miles; Falmouth 9 miles; Portreath 7 miles.

Just outside Redruth on the road towards Falmouth, Lanner was once part of Cornwall’s mining epicentre. Today, the village is welcoming and friendly, with a number of convenience stores, a bakery, a village hall and several good pubs. Carn Marth overlooks Lanner village from its hilltop location; a former granite quarry, this is now a lovely place for a walk or cycle. Nearby Carn Brea is worth a visit too; here you will find a Medieval castle (now a restaurant), which once belonged to Lord Bassett, the most influential mine owner in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. The beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan are just a short drive from Lanner, and there are several off-road cycle trails in the area, including the Coast to Coast Trail which follows the original tramway from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south.

This property offers the following short breaks:
