“Property is extremely well equipped, furnishings high spec & decor wonderfully coordinated.”

Unfortunately we found the bed too soft & a bit squeaky which disturbed our sleep. Otherwise we had a lovely week, enjoyed the situation & gorgeous views from the property. The surrounding area is amazing for walks & good eating places. We will definitely return.

Cottatge Summary

Kittiwake is one of the three Seaspray cottages based in West Pentire.

The two bedroom cottage boasts fantastic views over the Goose Rock to the Newquay coast, perfect to look at whilst enjoying your breakfast on the patio.

The living area of the cottage has been recently renovated to create an open plan living/dining and kitchen area which is light and airy, with modern coastal decor.

The cottage is decorated in neutral tones with splashes of colour in each room to give it a fresh, modern feel.

Although not completely on one level, Kittiwake is still suitable for guests who can manage a few stairs as the staircase is not very big.

The Seaspray cottages are a five minute walk from Crantock beach and about the same to Polly Joke (Porth Joke) beach, making it a family or surfers haven.

A few minutes walk away is a pub, serving food and drink with the same fantastic view, as well as a cafe/bistro offering brunch, lunch and dinner as well as coffees and cream teas.

Crantock village is only five minute drive away, where there are two more pubs, a Londis grocery store, Post Office and other village attractions.

Why the owner loves Kittiwake...

Whether we are inside looking out at Crantock Bay or relaxing in the small garden there is a feeling of so much light and space.

From barbeques in the summer to watching the waves crash over Goose Rock in the winter, we love the constantly changing sea view.

We enjoy walking on the beach and around the coastline with our little dog Bob, so being only a few minutes from such wonderful walks, beaches and wild life makes Kittiwake very special to us and a real hit with our family and friends who come to stay

About the location

CRANTOCK

Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.

Note: There is a £40 charge per pet.
