Cadgwith is a quaint fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, with thatched cottages perched on steep and narrow lanes overlooking the sea.
There are two, small, pebble beaches; one of which is the hub of the fishing community where catches of fish, crab and lobster are landed next to the Old Pilchard Cellar next to the pub.
The village pub "The Cadgwith Cove Inn", regularly hosts jazz and folk nights so it is well worth going for a drink to experience the local talent.
The small village also boasts a couple of cafes, a restaurant, a gallery and a clothes/souvenir shop.
Cadgwith also is the site of a locally renowned gig-rowing team which hosts many events throughout the year, including 'Buller Day' each August.
The film 'Ladies in Lavender' was filmed in Cadgwith in 2004.
