Why a Porthleven cottage?
A holiday in Porthleven offers a wonderful escape from the stresses of everyday life. On a calm summer day, the scene around the harbour is one of tranquil blue sea and bobbing boats. Gulls call overhead and people meander along the water’s edge enjoying ice creams. In winter, when the wind blows, you can watch the waves and storms crash dramatically into the bay.
The curve of the harbour wall is lined with whitewashed houses and traditional silhouettes – the famous clock tower standing proud. Independent shops and galleries vie with its many eateries for your attention. On the far side of its granite pier lies a lovely golden beach – the perfect spot for surfers and families at low tide.
