Boscregan

This was our second stay at Boscregan as the house meets our needs perfectly.

The location is excellent with sea views and a short walk to the beach, coastal path or into Porthleven.

Boscregan is the most fantastic house.

It is extremely clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is really well equipped. The owner is very helpful and responsive, and the welcome hamper is a lovely surprise to arrive to. The location and views are amazing. One of our best holiday stays.

We were very fortunte to stay at Boscregan during a warm, sunny week.

Sadly, the outside spaces, i.e. balconies and patio were not clean. We thought this was probably because we have had a good summer so far and they had been well-used. We had to wash both tables before use. Half way through our stay the areas were swept but they were in need of a good wash. The wi-fi was intermittent and we had to use personal hotspots a lot of the time, including to watch a bit of TV in the evening. We found communication from Sykes Cottages to be very poor. Call centres and what seemed to be an endless barrage of automated WhatsApp messages and unanswered e-mails. This was very disappointing. However, to end on a positive note, the property is in a beautiful location. It has breathtaking views. Decor is lovely and it was spotlessly clean inside.

This is our 6th stay here and we are due back in October.

Boscregan is a stunning property with amazing views over Mounts Bay.

It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and all fixtures, fittings and furniture are of a very high standard. We appreciated the warmth of the house when we returned from chilly and wet walks. One of the best properties we have stayed in and would love to return.

Photos on website don’t do this justice. Comfy beds, beautiful linen. Fantastic furniture. All very clean. Lovely welcome afternoon tea. You will need to bring your own sundries, salt pepper, cling film, foil, sauces etc which are not provided. We had a small issue with the outside very dirty, but owner arrived and had a clean up so we could sit outside on the patio with the amazing sea views. Would return in a heart beat if I didn’t live so far away and not so old!

This is our 5th stay here, it’s our favorite holiday home as so clean well equipped and a lovey walk down into Porthleven.

We had a wonderful holiday at Boscregan,the property was very clean,with every comfort provided.

The views from the lounge,dining area and balconies were superb.We were unfortunate with the weather and had 2 days of very strong winds which was a shame but watching the roaring sea and the waves crashing against the jetty was amazing to watch from the comfort of the lounge.Our first stay in this house and Porthleven and we sincerely hope we will return.

The house was everything we wanted and more!

It was well equipped and very clean with plenty of amenities. There was ample outdoor space and we took full advantage of this and the BBQ. The views of porthleven were stunning and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The house was clearly taken care of and the small touches and welcome package went a long way! We would return in a heartbeat.

This is a beautiful luxury property with jaw dropping views of Mounts Bay - note the floor to ceiling windows and huge patio.

All amenities are provided. The heating is fully automatic - we never had to do a thing. Private parking is ample in an area where parking is very restricted.

This is our first holiday with Sykes.

The property was superb - we barely left it because the view was all we needed. With other properties we have had a named housekeeper we could contact with issues - and we did struggle with the heating controls, so I spent the first evening downloading a pdf from the internet which wasn't my ideal start to the holiday. So a named contact plus proper instructions for the heating would have improved the stay. That said: there were so many wonderful things beside the view - the art on the walls was a particular joy and we really enjoyed "viewing" them with the house information as our guide. We have two more trips booked to Boscregan!

Boscregan is a beautiful place and has fantastic views over the sea; it is a great place to be and during our stay we spent many hours watching the sea/sunsets, stormy weather/seas.

The property is detached on a large plot and is not overlooked. The finish of all the furniture/decor was of a very high standard and quality and well thought out by the owner. The rain shower was great and the beds comfortable. Would definitely contemplate booking again as it was delightful.

First impression when entering property was excellent.

It smelt clean and was like entering a top quality hotel room that had attention to detail. The facilities offered within property were excellent and everything had been thought of for your stay. We could not find microwave then realised its built into the NEFF oven. Sea view was amazing as expected with a panoramic view over Porthleven below. Heating seemed to be on all the time and we turned it down as we don’t like house that warm. Smart TV had all the subscription channels including Disney Plus and Netflix. Access to property was easy via a private road and front of property has plenty of space for parking. Would we go back for another stay? Yes without hesitation.

Another lovely stay, everything is always perfect, clean and welcoming.

Boscregan is a property with lots to offer.

Beautifully designed with spectacular views. It is well equipped, nicely furnished and its cleanliness was apparent throughout. We would visit again without hesitation but for one thing. We were unfortunate to experience a change to the weather in the second part of our weeks stay which meant that the internal temperature fell at night under a comfortable level and it was cold. There was no instruction in the property about heating and indeed it seemed to us that the only visual controller had no power flowing to it to allow activation. A message and a chat with Sykes failed to produce any useful response and we were not contacted by the maintenance team to attempt to rectify the situation. The property description states that power is provided as part of the weekly rental fee but this did not apparently extend to heating.

Excellent holiday home in a beautiful location, very conveniently located for Porthleven and the coastline.

Everywhere was immaculate, the views were amazing, the welcome gifts and the flowers were a lovely gesture, the only thing we would of liked would of been access to more pillows, We will definitely be back.

Comfortable, well equipped with great views. Easy walking distance to harbour, bars and restaurants. Would stay again.

Generally, it was a great place with great views, very clean and comfortable.

We have a few points that would have improved our enjoyment. It appeared that the heating didn't come on until fairly late in the morning (after 8.00am) and the temperature setting seemed low with no obvious way to give it a boost. We would have like a grab rail or something in the shower and a "soap" tray to put soap/shampoo on while having a shower We did like that we didn't have to put the bins out like we have had to on other holidays in Cornwall

We spent a gorgeous week at Cornwall and it was made even more memorable by Boscregan.

The property is a short walk to the habour and the beach and ideally located in that sense. The walks on either side down the SW coast path were gorgeous as well. The bungalow is beautifully maintained and kept to a high standard. It was imepaccably clean on arrival and well equipped with cleaning essentials and a thoughtful welcoming cream tea with local scones and some milk in the refrigerator. The kitchen was very well stocked and fitted with good quality Neff appliances. The beds were comfortable and those sofas in the lounge were the comfiest we have been in - even better with jaw dropping 270 degree views and the best sunsets we have seen. We had a few niggles with a broken hoover on arrival but that was promptly replaced and our request for fans was dealt with too. We didn't use the barbecue but will definitely try and get there again for peak summer to give that a go. If I had to make any suggestions , some spare rolls of loo roll and better quality toiletries would be helpful. I can whole heartedly recommend Boscregan and thanks again for such an amazing stay.

This is a beautiful property and beautifully maintained.

Sofas, beds all so comfortable. So much light coming into the house, lots of space for 4 adults and two little girls to run around. This has to be the cleanest property we have ever stayed at, thanks to little D. The garden is big, just need to keep an eye on little ones. Lovely big balconies and patio area, unfortunately due to dreadful weather (2weeks) we were unable to use. The views are just stunning. We met a neighbour who was very friendly, as was the gardener and window cleaners. The cleaner little D was so helpful with suggestions for visit with children and advice going to Eden project. This fantastic property helped make this holiday. We can definitely recommend Boscregan.

We had two wonderful weeks in Boscregan.

Everything was very clean. Many thanks to the cleaning team. The house is in a great location and it is only a short walk into the wonderful town. It was very quiet. We had a welcome basket with lots of delicacies. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Its a great base for walking in the area. We can highly recommend Boscregan.

We had a lovely stay at your holiday home, which has been thought about and planned to the highest standards.

My sister in law said to me before we left if you get comfy sofas you can survive the week. They were lovely and we just wondered if you would tell us where they were purchased from as we would like to replace ours. Even though it rained a lot the house made it worth staying in . Big television helped.
