There are plenty of incredible beaches nearby, including Marazion Beach. A sandy beach with safe water for swimming and lifeguards on patrol during the peak summer months, its proximity to the town means amenities are right where you need them. The town itself is home to art galleries, shops, a good mix of pubs and cafes and a museum all about the town and the local area.
You’ll want to visit St. Michael’s Mount by walking across the causeway at low tide. There’s also Marazion Marshes which is a Special Protection Area due to its population of rare Bittern. You’ll find herons, little egret, and Cetti’s warblers amongst the reeds too. With a network of wooden walkways and viewing hides, it’s a favourite with bird watchers and is well worth exploring.

This accommodation in Marazion is also ideally situated for exploring everything the western end of Cornwall has to offer, including the legendary Penzance with its dramatic coast and huge range of activities like fishing and sailing. About a mile along the coast you’ll come to Perranuthoe, listed in the Domesday book as being worth 10 shillings.
Property prices have increased somewhat in the intervening centuries, no doubt thanks to the lovely Perranuthoe beach. Rarely as crowded as some of the more obvious beaches along this stretch of coast, it’s a sandy beach which gets some decent surf.
Keep going along the coast in the same direction and you get Prussia Cove, once home to famed smuggler John Carter and the beautiful Praa Sands. From here it’s not far to Helston, home to Flambards theme park. Strike out westerly from Marazion and follow the coast past Penzance and you’ll find many of Cornwall’s famous gardens including Trengwainton Garden and Trewidden garden.
