Apple Blossom Barn

This property was amazing the location and the views from the property were great very quiet and lovely to come back to and sit outside when you’ve been out for the day.

The accommodation was spotless and had everything you needed owners very friendly will definitely be back next year hopefully for two weeks this time we didn’t want to leave.

This was our 4th visit and loved every minute of it as always.

A lovely well equipped cottage located in great spot for walking into Penzance, Newlyn, Marazion (St Michael’s Mount) and enjoying all that these places have to offer.

Further afield, we visited the Sculpture Gardens, Mousehole, and The Lizard Point, all within a comfortable drive away. We ate out in local bars and restaurants and cooked up a few meals in the cottage too. It was a real treat to sit out on the patio with a good book, a glass of wine and a lovely view, listening to birdsong. We loved the view of the sea from the velux windows and the tranquil setting in which the cottage was located. We met our host briefly just after our arrival and knew she was at hand should we need anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Apple Blossom Barn and would certainly recommend to others planning a trip to the area.

Excellent accommodation for two and ideal location for driving to many of south Cornwall’s attractions.

This was our third visit to Apple Blossom Barn, which says it all.

It's prefect for a couple. Hadee and John are very welcoming and were on hand for all our needs. The Cottage was warm and comfortable, and the location is superb for exploring the south-western tip of Cornwall and the Lizard.

Apple Blossom Barn was everything we wanted it to be for our winter couples get away.

The western tip of Cornwall is a spectacular place to visit but it can be hard to find accomodation that is just right. The barn is separate from the farmhouse and so you feel enough privacy, the hosts were friendly but we actually didn't see them after a welcome hello (kind of ideal). There's off round parking and you feel like you're in the countryside, but the village of Gulval, Penzance and the beach are all walkable with a choice of supermarkets close too. There's sea views from the top windows and trees out the front. It seems like a recent barn conversion that's been done very nicely, with all the basics you would need to self-cater, well more than basics, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and even fresh milk and local treats left ready for our arrival. The gorgeous wood burning stove and dimmable lights (and Christmas tree!) made for cosy long winter evenings when we didn't feel like going out.

Have just returned from our visit to apple blossom barn.

It was a beautiful place, amazing view and location. We were gutted to leave. Clean and modern and very much appreciated the little details like the pumpkins and flowers around. We will definitely be back.

Perfect little place with everything needed for a quiet week away but close to Penzance with views from the property.

We have both enjoyed exploring the coastal walks all along the SW from the location of the Barn and would definitely return. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom had everything and well thought out. it also felt warm as we had a few days of rain but managed to use the outside table and chairs. Lovely hosts too, thanks for a great week Jo and Paul

We absolutely love this property and have stayed here previously.

The outlook from the rear of the property is fabulous with parking for at least 4 cars . We will be back again when we visit Penzance without our family it’s nice to know the photographs of the property have not been embellished.

My husband and I were spending a week in Cornwall and this was a perfect location for striking out in every direction, yet has plenty to keep you busy nearby.

The property itself is part orchard and part lovely woods with footpaths leading further out. It is located near all the modern amenities, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and yet manages to feel as if you are hidden away in the countryside. The parking was very close and convenient. The cottage is very attractive with comfortable furniture and everything you need to function. The loft bedroom is wonderful with skylight windows on the slanted roof, complete with views over the tree tops to the sea, and the Juliet window overlooking the property and surrounding hills. Bed, pillows, comforter, all very comfortable. (My husband is a little over 6’2” and it did take a couple of days to adjust to the sloped bedroom ceiling) The hosts are a lovely couple and never obtrusive but definitely available for any questions or suggestions. The simple comment would be “We loved our stay at the Apple Blossom Barn, would definitely recommend it, and hope to be lucky enough to return someday when we are visiting the UK again.”

A delightful, quiet location with charming on-site hosts.

The property has a traditional feel but with modern, excellent facilities. With the log-burner it must also be really cosy for a winter stay. Feedback for Sykes - the on-line material is clear on-screen, but taking a print is difficult as the grey print is almost invisible on hard copy.

Excellent accommodation, we felt like we’d really got lucky to find it.

Good location for visiting all our favourite spots (St Ives, Marazion, the Lizard) and an easy walk to Penzance as well as to pick up other long footpaths. Put it this way; on our last night there, we decided to book again for the same time next year!

Cannot recommend this property any higher. Lovely location and spotlessly clean and very relaxing. Haidee and John not at all intrusive but are always there if you need them. Thank you again for a lovely holiday. See you next year.

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was perfectly maintained, and a lovely base from which to have a great holiday.

The location was absolutely perfect, having a feeling of being remote in the lush wooded countryside, yet a few minutes away you could be in Penzance, or in a large supermarket. We felt private and able to relax in the sun, but also able to easily get out and explore or get groceries. I cannot recommend this property enough....we may well be back! One caveat, if you're over 6ft, you will need to watch the sloping roof when upstairs, but don't let that put you off!

Wow, what a find!

A perfect holiday in a wonderful, peaceful location. We visited many places of beauty and interest that are within relatively short driving distance. The views at Apple Blossom are amazing - wonderful to wake up to the view of the sea from the skylight each morning and we were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather which enabled us to sit outside every evening and take advantage of the BBQ whilst looking out upon beautiful grounds. Friendly and helpful host and the accommodation was spotless, the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed this holiday so much and have booked again for next year!

Very well appointed and set up. Carefully thought out design and finishings make it an ideal place for 2 people to stay, whether relaxing or visiting the local Cornish sites. Fabulous location. The cottage was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Much roomier than we expected! Our only recommendation would be a bit more thorough cleaning (quite a lot of hairs - not ours- and dirty windows), and I would have liked a bigger bed, the bedroom has plenty of space! But maybe wide beds are a continental thing

The cottage is beautifully styled to provide comfort and space. The views are stunning and having really good quality outdoor furniture makes such a difference. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. We have already recommended to friends and plan to come again.

Apple Blossom Barn is the perfect choice for a quiet, restful break in the midst of Cornwall's idyllic countryside; yet close enough to all of the iconic attractions of the far west.

The material needs of a comfortable stay are within a few minute's drive in Penzance yet the property remains completely rural. The owners were friendly and helpful hosts.

This stunning property is everything you could wish for a couples week away. The property is done to an exceptional standard and has everything you need. A lovely little welcome pack to help before hitting the supermarkets which are only a mile away . Quiet peaceful beautiful. The barn is in a lovely and quiet location, with beautiful surroundings and sunsets, and is perfect as a base to explore Cornwall.

Haidee was also very helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The delicious cider, biscuits and potatoes were much enjoyed. If we were to return to Penzance we would definitely stay at the Barn.

We had a great stay.

Apple Blossom is very comfortable and a real sun trap. Particularly enjoyed the comfy sofa, ideal for naps after a long walk. Although next to the owner’s property there is privacy and sun chairs should you have good weather. Location is ideally suited to reach all the southern spots of Cornwall which means you don't have to spend long stretches in the car. We really liked walking from the door into Penzance, Newlyn and to Marazion. Not far from the main roads into Penzance yet still a quiet place to relax. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts, clean and bright accommodation, very relaxing and peacefully quiet. Very convenient for a walk into penzance and plenty of places to visit in close proximity..Lands End, The Lizard, Mousehole, St Ives and St Michaels Mount to name just a few, even a jolly to the Scilly Isles for the day. Looking out over the sea is brilliant. Will definitely book again.

Excellent base for Penzance and round about.

.. beautiful barn conversion and well equipped. Easy walk to local pub and some good running routes from the doorstep on very quiet local roads. For improvement, we would have liked nicer sheets and pillows, but bed was very comfortable and we had a great stay.

What a beautiful property and location. We felt very safe and comfortable even in the high winds. Lovely and warm and cosy. The only fault we found was that the tin opener didn't work, so we bought you a new one. Thank you so much for letting us stay

Superb place to stay.

Superb accommodation with quality fittings and furnishings.

Only points to consider to improve safety, shower cubicle needs handrail and shelf for gels lotions etc. The shower flooring can be quite slippy despite small shower mat and older customers such as ourselves need to feel safe. Owners extremely helpful nothing is to much trouble, they should be very proud of what they offer

A wonderful property, with everything required for a great stay, especially the log burner which was so pleasant during the dark evenings.

The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was modern and had a great shower. The kitchen was again modern and was equipped with everything we required. The property provided private parking along side and the views of the wooded area and the sea from the velux windows was lovely. We would love to stay here again in the future

It was impeccably clean & very bright airy property that met all our expectations & requirements. Owners Heidi & John were available if required. They were very approachable & considerate. Would definitely recommend this property as it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The only problem we experienced was finding the property & would suggest the direct route of using the B3311 from Penzance for future guests.

Absolutely Fabulous in every way possible.

Just back from a 10 day stay. Such a beautiful setting and very comfortable accommodation. The bed is amazing we had the best sleeps so comfortable but lovely with the door open to hear the birds early in the morning. We walked into Penzance for the ferry to the Isles of Scilly and also along the coast to Mousehole. Also walked to St Michaels Mount. The village has a great pub loved the Korev Cornish Lager and watching the cars negotiate the junction outside the pub. Haydee and John have an amazing barn and the welcome pack was also brilliant especially the apple juice from their orchards. We also had beautiful cornflowers and potatoes freshly harvested from the farm to enjoy. We loved our stay and want to return again soon. Thank you so much for one of the best holidays we have had. Apple Blossom Barn is perfect in size and situated in a convenient location for a couple who want to explore all that west Cornwall has to offer.

We spent our second week long stay here walking the Lizard and Land’s End Peninsulas. The Barn is cosy, well equipped and in a pleasant spot with views from the bedroom towards St Michael’s Mount.The hosts are welcoming and kept us well supplied with wood for the stove during both our winter stays.

We loved our stay.

It was everything we wanted and more. There was nothing to complain about. The cider and apple juice has now been consumed (it was delicious) as has the freshly cut cauliflower. I’d have no hesitation to recommend this beautiful property to anyone.

Fantastic little couples bolt-hole tucked away just outside Penzance in beautiful countryside.

The barn is very comfortable with excellent facilities. The owner is really friendly and left some lovely apple juice and cider for us, as well as milk in the fridge, for our arrival. There's plenty of space for two and the grounds are relatively private. The king size bed is a massive bonus, being tall and not really fitting comfortably in a standard double. Highly recommended.

Very clean and nice touch of leaving a couple bottles of cider . Also got given some of there new potatoes which were delicious. Very welcoming couple, would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Great property, above expectations.

Superb location, spacious, comfortable and stylish.

We had a fab holiday at Apple Blossom, great location for exploring West Cornwall.

We found it clean and very modern. The only improvements we could suggest would be some hooks in the bathroom for towels, a bit more storage in the bedroom for clothing, and maybe some cushions for the sun loungers outside. Other than this it was excellent and we have already recommended the cottage to a number of people.

First class property ideal for 2 people.

The west facing patio was warm and had far reaching views over Mounts Bay. The interior was light and well designed with a log burning stove that was very efficient on the cooler Spring evenings. Apple Blossom was ideally placed for visiting local beaches, accessing the coastal footpath and both the National Trust and private gardens of Cornwall. The Tremenheere Sculpture Park was a little gem and within walking distance using the St Michael’s Way.

We had a lovely week in this beautiful holiday cottage in a favourite location.

The owners of the property, Haidee and John, could not have done more to make our stay so enjoyable. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival. The bed extremely comfortable. Kitchen had all that we needed for the week. We didn’t use either the oven or dishwasher. (Personally we would have found a washing machine far more beneficial than a dishwasher). The one observation we would make is that the mezzanine level of the bedroom could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues especially as the bathroom is on the ground floor.

The cottage is warm, cozy and comfortable and the perfect size for a couple, with a pleasing aspect and a convenient location.

Apple Blossom Barn is a delightful property - spacious, light and airy, with lots of outside space, privacy and gorgeous views.

The owners have thought of every eventuality and it was marvellous to find the wood burner already laid on our arrival and complimentary home-made, local cider and apple juice provided for us to enjoy. We were very impressed with the high standard of build and finish throughout the property and with the hospitable welcome and help that we received from the owners. Apple Blossom Barn will be top of our list if we stay in Penzance again.

The photographs accurately portray the fantastic views to the sea from the bedroom. We had mixed weather and enjoyed Apple Blossom on the wet days as well as the sunny ones. Gulval is a lovely village, close to Penzance. A good base for exploring the delights of SW Cornwall.

The weather was the worst we have ever experienced in Cornwall in over 30 years of visiting this beautiful County, however that did not put a dampener on our holiday experience.

Apple blossom Barn was beautifully presented and comfortable, providing us with a quiet comfortable base to sit and watch all the fantastic bird life flashing past the windows in the huge garden and orchard. The hosts were welcoming and most attentive and with Boris (their dog) helped make our stay in this wonderful holiday home a delight. We will definitely be returning.
