Gunwalloe is a small coastal village located on the Lizard Peninsula. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it is renowned for having the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall. The small beach, Church Cove, is so named as St Winwaloe church is nestled into the headland in the cove. Due to it’s exposed location it has garnered the nickname Church of the Storms.
