“We had an absolute dream of a stay at Higher Lampra.”

Justin was an incredible host, offering us local tips and insight, and the property was a true gem for both us two humans, as well as our dog. We have stayed in many places that advertise as “dog friendly”, but this one takes the title. The garden was huge, fully fenced, and there were three additional fields, we could run and walk through, just out the gate. No other dogs or animals on the property (in the fields), so we had no worries about keeping the dog on a lead. There are also two ...

There are also two fantastic trails (public foot paths), leading directly from the cottage, to Mullion and other coastal pubs. If you’re a dog, a dog owner, and love living amongst and walking through untouched nature, right out your doorstep, this is the perfect location. The cottage interior was comfortable, shower fully enclosed with amazing water pressure, and had everything one could need. The only missing amenity was a washing machine, but if you plan ahead, it’s not a problem. We would definitely stay here again.

Detached and delightful, the interior is perfect for couples seeking an almost hideaway escape.

The cottage is charming, with a sitting area complete with a woodburner for extra warmth - a relaxing spot on the sofa during winter breaks.

The lower-ground-floor hosts the pretty bedroom, a haven of country comforts, guaranteeing tranquil slumber with en-suite WC and wash basin.

Set in this peaceful idyll, the cottage is reached along a private driveway with ample parking and an enclosed garden to keep pets safe and secure.

Explore the attractions on the Lizard Peninsula, with a myriad of charismatic fishing villages, beautiful coves and beaches all within easy reach.

Enjoy spectacular seascapes which can be spied from the coast path or visit the working harbour of Mullion Cove, steeped in smuggling history.

Coverack and Cadgwith are divine coves and beautiful Kynance Cove is simply stunning with dramatic cliffs and sheltered beach.

Mullion has a host of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, craft shops and art galleries reached within a few minutes’ drive, and the ancient market town of Helston, famed for The Floral Dance, is less than 4 miles away.

About the location

MULLION

Helston 5 miles; Lizard Point 5.5 miles.

Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
