What guests are saying
Well we should start by saying we’ve just rebooked for next year, this will be our fourth time at Sunbury Barn.
We love it here. It’s quiet but there’s enough space for our boys and also the dog to enjoy the garden and surrounding woodland. It’s close enough to Perranporth that you can walk but also near to other beaches that you can drive to in about 20 minutes. The owners are friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge that they are happy to assist you with. Our boys love their dogs and I’m amazed that they haven’t snuck at least one of them into the car to bring home. Only two tiny things, with 2 adults and 1 tall teenager and another growing child, we’ve found there aren’t enough comfy chairs. We find one person has to sit on the floor or hard kitchen chair or goes down to lie on a bed. Also, the boys were really looking forward to the scones and cream we’d had the last couple of times, especially after a 10 hour drive! These are two tiny things though, we just love it here!
We had a fantastic break at Sunbury Barn.
The location was excellent. Right amount of seclusion without feeling isolated, making it the perfect place to relax while still being within easy reach of local town and beaches. The barn was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. We received a warm welcome from the host, who provided a thorough handover and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A real highlight for our family was meeting Daisy and Maisy, the friendly farm dogs. Our two kids absolutely loved making friends with them, and it made the stay even more memorable. We would highly recommend Sunbury Barn to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway and would happily stay again.
We had a great week’s stay at Sunbury Barn.
It’s in such a great location for getting around Cornwall but also remote enough that you can relax and switch off after a busy day at the beach without hearing crowds of people or busy roads like you would if you stayed in a town or village centre. The barn is really spacious and has everything you need. Our little boy loved the hot tub & football net. He also loved playing fetch with the owners dog Daisy who was more than happy to bring her ball onto the garden to play. We would highly recommend Sunbury Barn to others and will certainly be returning ourselves in the not so distant future.
