Trevose House

All our family group thought the accommodation was modern, clean, spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable.

A great location for a relaxing holiday and access to walks, beaches and facilities locally. We thoroughly enjoyed our happy stay and the flowers and welcome gifts were a great touch. Nick was very responsive and helpful to my questions about the accommodation ahead of the holiday.

Trevose is a lovely house, beautifully decorated and very well equipped.

The huge living room with plenty of comfy sofa space for all and the outside dining/seating were highlights. Having parking for 3 cars so close to the centre of the village and the beach was a bonus.

Excellent communication with owner prior to visit ascertaining our needs.

A nice welcome surprise of `goodies` on our arrival. Very spacious and clean accommodation in the village of Crantock. Really I cannot find a bad word to say about our weeks visit. Enjoyable time had by all.

Our 4th holiday at Trevose and we were delighted again with the house.

It is clean, comfortable, very well equipped and spacious. We are a multi generational family with dogs, there was plenty of room for all of us. 5he garden is safe for dogs and children. The location is excellent for exploring Cornwall and there are lovely eating places and beaches close by. The new sofas are very comfortable and the welcome pack excellent. Would definitely recommend this holiday property. Nick the owner is friendly and helpful. We hope to return next year.

The owner of the property was incredibly helpful in answering our queries prior to our arrival and dealing with a couple of issues we had towards the end of our stay.

The house exceeded our expectations and very comfortably accommodated seven adults, two infants and a dog! Everything locally was within walking distance of the house and we were only five minutes from the amenities available in Newquay. An enjoyable stay and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this area.

It’s spacious, clean and fresh and we loved the new sofas. The garden is safe for dogs and children. The location excellent, close to the village amenities and great for walking and getting around Cornwall by car too. Would highly recommend this property

We have had a lovely week over Easter in Crantock.

The Trevose house is perfect for our multi generation family of 7 and our dog. The house was clean and very well equipped. There is plenty of space throughout the house ,particularly in the lounge allowing all of us to sit comfortably on the lovely new sofas. We will definitely be booking this house again when we return to Crantock.

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday cottage over the New Year!

Our group of seven, ranging in age from 8 to 76, felt right at home. The house had everything we could possibly need - and more. It was even better than the pictures, with plenty of space and so comfortable for everyone. The location is perfect for walks right from the doorstep, including the beach and the coast path and the village Christmas lights added a lovely festive touch. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and communication was excellent throughout. We would all happily stay here again!

We’ve just returned from a great stay at Trevose House, which is situated just above the main village but easy walking to the pubs and beach.

It’s an easy house to be in, very clean, well equipped and comfortable with the best welcome pack we’ve had anywhere! It would be fabulous for a larger family/ friends group but there was only the 2 of us and our dog, even so the living space was warm and cosy and didn’t feel overwhelmingly big! The secure enclosed garden was great for the dog. The superking bed in the master en-suite was very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. When there was a major issue with the boiler going off the day after we arrived the owners, Nick and Chris, looked after us well and worked tirelessly to get it fixed although, no fault of their own, it took most of the week. These things happen, it was disruptive at times but it’s the way you’re treated that counts in the end. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Happy Half-term at Trevose for a 3 generation family holiday.

Lovely and clean, comfy and homely. Good clear instructions on re-cycling etc, which is always useful as every county is different. Nice welcome pack upon arrival and one of the best equipped kitchens you will find. Excellent location for walking to the village, shop, pubs, Jam Jar, beach and coastal path, as well as Cubert Common. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Trevose house is a brilliant holiday home in the wonderful village of Crantock.

Perfectly situated with easy access to the beach, the village with pubs and shop as well as access to other destinations around. The house itself was really spacious with plenty of room for our party of six to be together or separate. Lovely outside area with shower which is a godsend after a visit to the beach! The kitchen had every utensil you could wish for and plenty of space to cook and have others around to chat whilst doing so. Lovely welcoming gifts too. Beds were clean and comfy, fantastic showers in en suites. We were all really impressed with our holiday home and would certainly stay there again. There were a few negatives, which wouldn’t stop us from staying again but might be worth looking into. The sofas were a little uncomfortable for the older guests, one was really low and the other two just not comfortable for them although there were plenty of cushions to prop them up and ease the issue. Overall the house seemed clean but pictures windows, glass in door frames and tv were quite dirty. Skirting boards and some areas could have done with a bit of a thorough clean.

Crantock is lovely, Trevose cottage, large and has excellent facilities.

However on this occasion something had gone seriously wrong with the housekeeping, which appeared to have been going on for quite some time. Mainly, beds had obviously not been checked and there were large urine stains on the mattresses upstairs and on the undersheets, which were not fit for purpose. There was also a towel under the undersheet to hide a hudge urine mark!! We had to clean out shower filters also etc. Yes i took photos. We also found like others that the sofas in the lounge were uncomfortable & also felt very unclean.We did take this up with Sykes and Nick. Nick assures us he's sorted it.

Had a great week at Trevose.

The house is excellent with all the facilities you could ask for. Location is superb with an easy walk to the beach and Crantock with its pubs and facilities. We were a family of 3 couples with a couple of grandchildren and the house worked perfectly.

Great property, great location and only a few minutes walk to the beach or village centre.

(The walk to the beach does involve a steep hill for those with mobility issues but there is a car park available, free for National Trust members). Very well equipped house, the kitchen in particular. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 dogs and had plenty of room. Nice secure garden area with outdoor furniture to allow for relaxing, dining and taking in the sun. There are coupe, of local pubs serving good food nearby. Great place to relax or to explore from. The afternoon tea waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch and much appreciated, along with the cold beers and Prosecco in the fridge

An extremely spacious, comfortable property, a real home from home.

The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with most things that we needed. The only additional items that we would have found useful were a working garlic press, some small tumblers & some small bowls. A drinks fridge in the garage & a couple of sun loungers for the garden would have been great too

This is our third visit to Trevose House and we hope to return again.

It is such a spacious, comfortable place to stay, we were able to relax as soon as we arrived. Everything is such high quality so it’s difficult to know what to single out to mention, but for us as a large family group visiting, it was very helpful to have so many bathrooms, and the lovely sunny garden was a great place to relax, including for the dogs as it is safely enclosed. The welcome pack including cream tea was a lovely start to the visit too!

Our 4th visit to this amazing property and as always everything was absolute fabulous - it truly is a home from home - had everything we needed and more - we don’t just get the welcome to your holiday info - Nick remembers we are repeat guests and sends this with welcome “again” such a lovely touch - Sarah the house keeper ensures everything is immaculately clean and the house is beautifully presented and the welcome treats - they were lovely- thanks again will see you same time next year

A spacious property, all the rooms are a good size.

Well stocked kitchen with everything you could need. Plenty of crockery e.t.c. so didn't need to run the dishwasher every day. Plenty of room for our large family group. Great for the children and dogs with the outside space and secure garden.

Property is always very clean and the welcome gift is great. Garden is lovely and secure for the dogs. Great location for both the beach and to explore Cornwall. Nick is very friendly and helpful. Have booked again for next year.

Trevose was a lovely house well positioned (8 minutes walk to beach, less to the shop and pubs) in beautiful Crantock.

It was warm, spacious, clean and really well equipped - especially in the kitchen, where as keen cooks we found everything we could possibly need!. Beds very comfortable, showers great and the layout very practical (we had two dogs) with the outdoor shower and enclosed back garden. Lovely welcome package too! Nick the owner was extremely helpful and quick to reply when we contacted him with a couple of questions in advance. Would DEFINITELY go back in the future

We absolutely loved Trevose.

It gave us everything we needed. Big, spacious, warm house. The grandchildren loved the jacuzzi bath too! The garden was perfect for the dogs and the outdoor shower was handy for cleaning them off after a walk on the coast path. Great location although we drove to the beach (NT) as we had very small children with us but you could walk there in 10 minutes.

We had a lovely week.

Crantock is a fantastic base for a holiday. The house was warm and comfortable. It is ideal for dog owners as the downstairs bedroom has its own separate back door, so you can let the dogs out in the night without disturbing the rest of the house.

The property is fantastic.

We did have a problem manoeuvring our long base Merc in and out of the driveway due to the narrow road and grass bank on the opposite side. Would have been easier if the entrance was made wider but would definitely stay again.

We loved the house.

It was very clean and spacious . All the bedrooms were a decent size. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The kitchen was well equipped with the bonus of the utility room. There was plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge for all of us. The garden was great for the dogs. Unfortunately we did not make use of the garden furniture as much as we would have liked due to the weather. The location of the house is perfect with the shop and the pub 5 mins walk and beach about 10 mins. Great walking from the house on lovely footpaths. Would highly recommend Crantock and Trevose House.

Wonderful week in this lovely property.

Super house with everything you need. Very clean with fabulous comfy beds, and beautifully decorated bedrooms. The house and enclosed garden was perfect for us all, we were a party of mum and dad 3 young children and grandparents. Great communication with the owner and a lovely welcome gift on arrival. The village itself is really pretty and the beach just stunning with a couple of good pubs serving great food all within walking distance of the house. Would definitely book this house again when coming back this way for holiday.

Trevose was excellent, everything you need for a family vacation.

Plenty of room so you were not on top of each other. The garden was secure enough for the children. Lovely BBQ and patio furniture for sitting in the evenings. Perfect!!

This was our second stay at Trevose House and we loved it.

It is so spacious and comfortable, and has absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. We especially enjoyed the big kitchen with island, great for family gatherings, the gorgeous sun-trap garden (completely dog safe) and the huge comfy beds. The location is also brilliant with the beach such a short walk away. Thank you for such a great stay.

We had a fabulous week in this lovely property.

Really comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location for the beach, coastal walks, restaurants and pubs, meaning we hardly had to use the car. We loved the outdoor shower for hosing down the dogs after a trip to the beach. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back.

Our second year at Trevose house did not disappoint.

The house is very comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness was to a high standard which was very important with a newborn joining us this time. We also appreciated the welcoming gift left for us. The house is in an ideal location for the beach which our two spaniels loved and the outdoor shower ensured they were clean before going back into the house. A lovely place to spend family time together. We hope to return next year!

We enjoyed a fantastic week.

We received a message from the owner to let us know the property was ready early and upon arrival there was a complimentary drink waiting in the fridge which was a nice touch. The house itself was large and lovely. There was was an abundance of space for the 6 adults in our group and it has ample room to accommodate 8 adults comfortably. The accommodation was clean light and bright. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and was very warm. The driveway was big enough for our 3 cars. The location was ideal. Easy walking distance to the village pubs and the beach. Finally also have to say level of customer service from the owner Nick was excellent. He went above and beyond expectations.

As ever well maintained cottage with excellent facilities and locality in the area.

A great holiday home , everything you could want and more.

We had a lovely week at Trevose House.

Crantock is a lovely village, close to the beach with lovely walks. The house had everything we needed & was very comfortable, our 2 small dogs felt very at home there & we would definitely stay there again.

We had a very nice comfortable stay at Trevose.

The beds are all super Kingsize and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment which was a great help as we mainly made meals in. The garage was a welcome addition with plenty of space for storing our boards and wet suits. There is also 2 additional fridge freezers in here. The lounge is large and comfortable. I agree with other listings the driveway is a little tight but we did manage to park 3 cars in it. The exit and entry is the main issue due to the width of road. Overall we had a great stay and have booked again for next year.

The property is spacious with lovely decor we all agreed the bed were so comfortable. The welcome pack was much appreciated thank you. The location of the property was perfect for the beach ,less than 10 mins away walking distance. We have stayed many times in Crantock and we all agree Trovose house is one of our favourites. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah the house keeper who was very helpful on arrival and had laid out a wonderful selection of toys for our grandchildren to play with. This is a lovely house in a great location with all the amenities you could wish for.

The bedrooms and beds are large, amazingly comfortable, and very clean. Great kitchen, dining room, and large living room. Great for all children, no matter what age if the weather means you stay in doors for a bit. Lovely bathrooms and again very clean. Crantock itself is a lovely village with a great pizza restaurant/cafe in the day, two good pubs, and a great beach all 5 - 10 minutes walk from the house.

To improve Trevose House - A couple of small shelves in upstairs onsuite bathroom would be handy, widen the drive entrance/exit for safety and moving cars around, Comfortable sofa's in lounge and maybe a more substantial arm chair for elderly residents.

Fantastic week staying at Trevose House, excellent location, beautiful house, very well equipped, we would definitely recommend.

Had an issue with the en suite shower up stairs leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen which was quickly attended to by Nick the owner and his plumber.

Nick was extremely apologetic and even bought us a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine . Trevose is a lovely house with spacious bedrooms and a fantastic jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom.However we did find that Trevose would benefit from a third shower as 2 showers between 4 couples was busy at times .Kitchen was fully equipped and located well for easy access to the garden sitting area and bbq.. Settees weren’t to everyone’s liking as very low and deep but this wouldn’t put us off stopping here again . Brilliantly located for Crantock Village and beaches. As l write this review l am luckily enough to be again sitting in the garden at Trevose for our second visit of the year.

Our second visit to this lovely house for our family holiday after discovering it last year.

Enjoyed it even more this year, the property is very well maintained inside and outside, extremely clean and very comfortable. It is incredibly well equipped, especially the kitchen and also has good quality linen and towels in the well appointed bedrooms. Crantock is a beautiful village with great amenities and ideally situated to visit so many beautiful places in this wonderfully scenic county.

We had a really enjoyable week staying at Trevose.

The house was clean, spacious and very well equipped. The location was perfect for coastal walks or beach trips. The outside shower was ideal for washing down the dogs after a trip to the beach. All in all an excellent stay and we will hopefully be going back next year.

Well equipped, good base for walks.

Very spacious. Nice secure garden for dogs. Really comfy beds. Really appteciated the arrival gifts of cider, beer, bottle of prosecco, milk and scones with jam and cream. The kitchen cupboards could be tidier, there are lots of random things in cupboards. If the space was organised better there would be more space to store food. The freezer in the utility room is faulty. A note stating there is a freezer in the garage, would have been useful. We had 2 dogs with us that never went up the stairs, but even so, upon arrival, the stairs and landing carpet and the lounge rug were covered in dog hair. The downstairs ensuite shower does not get warm. We ran the water for over 3 minutes whilst changing all of the dials but still no warm/hot water.

Parking was very difficult even with two cars and difficult to leave the property to see the traffic.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Trevose House in Crantock.

Thank you Nick. The house is perfect just like home from home with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The house is extremely spacious and ideal for a large family or sharing with another family. Room sizes were great with no one feeling left out! Lovely garden to relax in and is safe for your four legged friends. The location is perfect. Walking distance to crantock beach 10/15 minutes which is fantastic as it means no queuing to get in the very busy car park. The beach is absolutely stunning and huge with great surfing facilities, public toilets and dogs are allowed too. Crantock caters for all food options and all again within 10-20 walk. The furthest away being Bowgie Inn and C-Bar and Bistro which my parent in their late 70’s were still able to manage. All in all a fabulous week and I look forward to returning again soon. My only niggle and it certainly isn’t a complaint, is the drive can be challenging, if you have two large cars as the turning into the house is tight. I’d advise to always reverse on, as vision is limited leaving the property. Communication before arriving was spot on with the owner contacting you to check on room configuration etc.

The best holiday accommodation in the UK we have ever enjoyed.

Great location in lovely village of Crantock with wonderful beach only 15min walk. All rooms large & super interior decor with great beds/linen & furniture.Kitchen has everything you need & additional large fridge freezer in garage. Great garden decking & lawn with sun all day & plenty of seating & good Weber BBQ.We could not have been happier with our choice & many thanks to owners Chris & Steve.

Trevose House was without doubt the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.

Everything was so beautifully decorated, it was a really luxurious and comfortable place to stay. The house was spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of every last detail, from soap, washing up liquid and other kitchen essentials being provided to a welcome pack including Prosecco, scones and clotted cream. We were holidaying with our dog and the house was very well set up for him as well, with a truly enclosed garden, very safe, which he enjoyed exploring. We had a brilliant week, the position of the house is great with very easy access to the beach and beautiful coastline. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay.

The main problem was the ground floor bedroom shower. My wife was unable to use the shower and I found it difficult. There was no hand rail and the shower head and soap shelf was almost out of reach. We are both getting on in years and not so agile, we selected this property because of the access to this bedroom. Just fitting a hand rail would make all the difference and lowering extending the shower head rail would also help.
