Joanna “We truly had a wonderful holiday at Dovecote and look forward to returning one day (when we have forgotten almost ten hours of driving home!”
!!) The cottage was really well placed with glimpses of the sea between the trees, and could certainly sit and listen to the waves breaking on the shore below. Many local walks without using the car. Cottage was really comfortable and good facilities provided. Many thanks! Jo

Approaching the cottage down a long private drive you are greeted with far-reaching sea and countryside views.
Be welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen for rustling up hearty meals, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four over a bottle of wine.
After dinner, kick-back and relax on the plush sofas as you select a much-loved show on the TV with Freeview and DVD player.
Continue through to the well-appointed shower room where you can freshen up after a day of exploring, before retiring to one of two bedrooms, a double, and a twin which can be found on the first floor.
Your adventure to Cornwall begins at Dovecote.

About the location
GORRAN HAVEN
Mevagissey 3 miles.
Once a crab fishing village, Gorran Haven on the south coast of Cornwall is ideally placed to explore the many beaches and coves in the area. Gorran Haven has a small sandy beach set behind a traditional sea wall, connecting with the longer Great Perhaver beach at low tide and is popular with families. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is readily accessible from the South West Coast Path that passes through Gorran Haven. Within walking distance are a number of more isolated beaches and the 370 feet high Dodman Point, rising above Gorran, which is thought to be one of Cornwall’s most dramatic headlands, and the cause of many a shipwreck. From its gorse-covered heights there are views across Veryan Bay to the west and Vault Beach to the east. Alternatively, you may wish to walk the coastal path to the harbour village of Mevagissey. Near Gorran Haven, in a beautiful setting of woodland, stream and pasture, is Caerhays Castle, an informal 60-acre garden on the coast near Porthluney Cove. Nearby attractions are the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and the cathedral town of Truro, with an excellent range of quality shopping and dining.
Please Note: The shared swim spa on site, will be available for bookings between April September from 10am – 9pm daily.
Please note: The swim spa may not be available in 2026 so please bear this in mind when booking.
