Sea View

The house is a perfect location with stunning views (particularly for sunrise over the sea) and a large grassed area perfect for dogs.

10 min walk to the left down some steep steps you have a small shingle beach lovely for spending an hour or so in an evening. 10 min to the right you head down more steps and your right in Mevagissy harbour. The hosts left some lovely touches with fresh flowers and cream scones and an excellent welcome book with lots of advice and recommendations. Parking is not the best, we arrived on Feast Week which attracts lots of people who use the street for free parking and even car camping, however after the first couple of days we always managed to get a space. Overall we felt the house and its location had a positive impact on our stay and would 100% return in the future.

The home was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need The Views from the home absolutely beautiful.

And to top it off the hosts are friendly warm and welcoming. We loved our stay, didn't want to leave. Highly recommend.

Lovely location with on-street parking (was glad we only had one car!) it was easy to walk into town and the property itself is a nice size. The upstairs bedroom doesn’t have a door although the staircase itself does give some privacy. It didn’t bother us but might be more annoying for others. Some of the pans were a bit elderly but otherwise a lovely house in a great location.

Lovely, cosy, modern but still traditional home.

Ideal location, not far from the town but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Only downside was no fans as the top bedroom was very warm, also no bedroom door on that room either (accessed via stairs). Nice touches like flowers and scones. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay ay Seaview.

The property had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable, home from home. Great for dogs too. The location superb, wonderful vista and a short walk to the town. Mevagissey has a lovely vibe, friendly people, best independent shops, pubs and eating places. Felt like a real holiday for all the family.

Seaview - A lovely, comfortable stay in this cottage.

A wonderful view out to sea & some days we even saw dolphins swimming. The cottage had everything we needed & the Cream Tea was a nice thought from the owners. It was a short walk down the coastal path into Mevagissey which is a beautiful, quaint fishing harbour with fantastic little shops and pubs. Taxi back up to the cottage was easy to get and a good price.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, cosy place in an excellent location.

The sea view is beautiful, you can simply sit and relax enjoy the sea view, and it’s just a short walk to the harbour and nearby beaches. There’s also a children’s playground right in front of the house, which was perfect for our family. The only minor issue was parking — it can sometimes be tricky to find a spot right outside the house. That said, we didn’t have much trouble and always found a space nearby. We were warmly welcomed with fresh scones, Cornish cream, and jam — a lovely touch. For dog owners, the enclosed backyard is ideal — we could let our dog roam freely, and he loved it. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already making plans to return next year! :)

Lovely bungalow with all we needed for our week in Mevagissey, the bungalow is in a lovely position overlooking the sea and only a short walk down to the harbour, we couldn’t fault this accommodation at all.

The only issue is the parking on the road outside the property is a bit of a nightmare, as lots of people leave vehicles here and walk to other properties around the corner. This is nothing to do with the property but can be challenging when checking in and out loading and unloading

Weather not great but really didn't matter. The house was amazing. Absolutely everything catered for & all good quality appliances. Location superb.

The house was lovely.

Light and airy, clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. Everything one could think of was provided ....kitchen utensils and equipment, dishwasher tablets, washing pods etc. We were greeted with scones, jam and cream and Cornish shortbread and milk in the fridge - Wonderful! The details claimed that there would be plenty of on-road parking at the holiday home. Though this was potentially correct, since there was room for approx. 20 cars on the street (for 8 bungalows!), the spaces were often all filled by the time we arrived back at the holiday home. We only just managed to park on the day that we arrived, but then a good distance from the house, which made carrying luggage etc. to the house an added burden. On one occasion, we parked in a bay for 4 cars, which had a notice up saying "Residents Only Parking" since there were no other spaces available at the time. We assumed that we would be classed as residents since we were resident in the house for 1 week. Clearly not so; we received a scrawled note through the letterbox telling us not to park there "......this parking is for the council houses, not holiday lets! " So overall, this was a wonderful pace to stay and many thanks go to the owners for thinking of everything, but parking at the holiday home was certainly an issue!

The property was ideal for a family with adult children, very spacious.

The location stunning and the standard very high with special touches such as complimentary cream tea. The only issue which marred the arrangement was the utterly inefficient communications with Sykes Cottages. Impossible to contact and receive an answer within a reasonable time frame. This resulted in pre-holiday stress as we had to adjust the times due to a bereavement.

Seaview was lovely and homely.

Everything was there for us and it was very welcoming to be given scones , jam and cream as a welcome and Easter Eggs for the kids. The owners were also very helpful in responding to a query.

What a treat to stay in such a comfortable, well equipped and cosy property with an incredible sea view from several windows.

There was NOTHING that hadn’t been thought of and plenty of hot water and heating available. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and great to have a dish washer, tumble drier and washing machine. Access to Mevagissey harbour and a beach was excellent albeit for the able bodied among us. Thank you.

Beds were comfy and the location was amazing with the sea views. Easy access to the village and ferry. Everything you need for self-catering accommodation. Lovely touch with the scones, biscuits and treats for the dog.

Wonderful to be back in this beautiful home in a stunning location with clearly thoughtful and caring owners.

Everything you could need is provided with great books/ games etc and lots of other items generously lent. I’m sure minor things like the wobbly outdoor chair will be rectified in due course. Thank you.

Really appreciated all the thoughtful small touches that made our stay extra special, scones, crabbing bucket, beach towels, helpful guides, books, games and binoculars.

Cannot fault anything. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. We hate leaving and always want to come back. We have been coming back for 3 years and will be back again in 2025...if not before!!

We really had a fantastic stay with amazing sea view and good for children’s as there is a playing area right in front of the property .

Superb cottage well equipped with lots of extra's.

Sea view, quiet location with the South Cornwall coastal path less than 100 yards away. This is a real gem of a place get up in the morning and open the curtains in the lounge and there is the sea. Get up even earlier and watch the sun rise over the sea magical. If walking is not a problem then take the coastal path down to Mevagissey there are lots and lots of steps but worth it for the eating places and shops plus the harbor.

The property was great,With the front rooms over looking the sea, waking up each morning to that view was great, relaxing what a way to start the day.

The location was great, although the walk to the harbour was a little hard. Car parking out side the property was a little hard at times, house's from around the corner were using the spaces. Everything you wanted was there they had thought of everything, nice touches dog briskets bowls even leads. nice sconces and cream THANK YOU>

We have stayed here twice now and it just gets better and better.

Views are amazing. Plenty of room for 2 children and 4 adults and a dog. Parking easy. Short but steep walk to harbour but such a beautiful walk down. Hosts were amazing. Cannot fault one thing. Sad to leave as feels like home from home.
