The Packing House

Lovely place to stay for a nice quiet, peaceful resting holiday.

The owners were very nice. Ideal for dog owners as there are nice walks and close to the coastal path.

Upon our arrival we were warmly welcommed by Bec, she asked about journey down and explained the layout.

The packing house was lovely, clean and had everything we could need. There was coffee, tea, milk and sugar along with a bottle od prosecco. There was parking and a car park right next to the property. We had a lovely week, weather perfect and loads of places to go bringing back memories of childhood holidays. Packing House was ideally located down a quiet country lane. Highly recommended.

Our second stay at The Packing House and again very clean and comfortable and everything we needed for our stay.

Rob and Bec were on hand if needed. Welcome gifts of milk and prosecco were much appreciated. Very secure garden and parking. We also managed to try out the new garden furniture when the Cornish winds allowed! Thank you both. Kathy and Lance

Superb place for a family of 4.

Nice accommodation, just the right size. They have a small field with a football goal and other activities which you can use too, great to lettings off steam. Happy to stay again and very welcoming. We appreciated the bottle of bubbly too

We had a very comfortable week at The Packing House.

The owners Rob and Bec were very welcoming and helpful and we felt very much at home. The accommodation was very clean with comfortable sofas and beds and good range of appliances. We also appreciated the fresh flowers, prosecco and milk on arrival. No problem parking and a very safe garden for the dog. We look forward to our next visit! Thank you both.

The location of The Packing House was perfect.

In a quiet country lane but close to shops, pubs etc. A private garden which was securely fenced even for a larger dog, and a great field where we could take the dog for an evening walk. The walk through woods to Prussia Cove or across fields to Perranuthnoe was perfect. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive.

We had a lovely week at the Packing House despite the weather.

It was very comfortable and clean with everything you could need for your stay. Very dog friendly. The owners were brilliant answering any questions we had. Very disappointed as we thought (judging by the photographs) it would be a lot bigger than it was.

Hardly any room to manoeuvre between the two sofas as they we so close together; and the one sofa took up half of the patio doors. It should be described as a ground floor flat, as that is what it is - the people upstairs were very noisy and like a herd of elephants, and even though you shouldn’t leave your dog on their own, they did, so their dog was barking non stop whilst they were out. It was very clean and had all the cooking utensils available, and the washing machine and washing line was very handy.

Our stay at The Packing House exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed all the facilities that the hosts had strived to provide.

There is everything you needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The cottage affords easy access to supermarkets, pubs and some of the best beaches in Cornwall. Nobody would find fault with it.

Cottage was very comfortable and clean.

Access was easy and parking excellent. Was nice to be met by the owners on arrival. Good property for those with a dog with come lovely walks nearby and a safe enclosed garden. Nice touch with the Prosecco for us and a ball for the dog. Enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed at quite a few Sykes's excellent cottages over the years and would say that the Packing House has been the one that felt like "home'.

Òn arrival we were greeted by a bottle of proseco,milk,tea,coffee and a lovely bunch of flowers.The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we slept well each night.The new owners,Rob and Beck, greeted us on arrival and made us feel at home.Over the two weeks they were very helpful and welcoming and they dealt with some of our requiements in a very willing manner.It was evident that they had put in new bedding,towels and some kichen ware etc.We were able to cook meals in a very clean oven and there was a good supply of kitchen utensils etc The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and there was plenty of parking spaces near the cottage.A central point for visiting the local area. We have stayed at the Packing House previously, and this is our first visit with the new owners, Rob and Bek who continue to provide a pleasant friendly presence without being intrusive.

We're pleased to say the changes that have been made have been tasteful and positive, such as the addition of a smart tv where you can access netflix, iPlayer etc. This is still clean, comfortable ,accessible accommodation in a lovely setting not far from Perranuthnoe , Praa Sands and Porthleven . We will be back, and are interested to see what further changes the new owners make :)
