“This is the second time we have been to Lake View.”

It was great the first time and great this time. The house was extremely clean and tidy, the beds are very comfortable and the showers excellent. One small thing I would say is it would be good to have something to hold onto in the shower, particularly for us old ones! The owners are brilliant and brought us a cream tea on our second day. Would recommend to anyone, in fact our youngest son and family are hoping to come soon. Many thanks.

“What a beautiful place to stay.”

It was so lovely with the views and the sheep in the field by the side of the accommodation. The snooker table was a huge hit too with our children. It had everything you need for a week away and we would definitely recommend if you want somewhere with peace and quiet. The cream tea was amazing. As it was so hot the owners kindly brought us a fan which was really appreciated. We would stay here again.

“Fantastic place, could not fault it.”

Beds were comfy, showers were amazing, and house was always cosy and warm from the underfloor heating. Owner was lovely and friendly and the cream tea upon arrival was a welcome treat. House has secure garden and access to large field to walk our dogs. House is just a few minutes away from the bustling Newquay, but located in an extremely quiet and peaceful area of the countryside. Great base to explore Cornwall from. A real gem of a house.

“Beautiful property in lovely surroundings, we would recommend staying here to anyone.”

The owners were very welcoming, suppling a cream tea with scrummy scones soon after we arrived. The property was warm throughout thanks to the excellent underfloor heating so even if the weather is cold you wont be. There are however one or two things which could be done to the property which may improve the stay for people in the future. The bedrooms don't have any curtains (none of the rooms have curtains). Whilst the fancy window units contain inbuilt blinds if you want the window open for some fresh air, then the blinds become useless. The other issue which would really improve the stay is that the sofas are very saggy. If you have any back pain or issues getting out of a chair then you will struggle with these. We used the outdoor patio furniture, inside which was much more comfortable.

Big bonus for our pet dog amazing field available for him to run around as farmer moved the sheep to allow this, which very kind and much appreciated.

“Beautiful cottage, such quiet surroundings which we wanted.”

Central to everything as well. If there is something for me to suggest - are there food deliveries to the property? There was no advice on this although we found out Morrisons was only a couple of miles away but some information on local facilities would be useful. Previous cottages also allow deliveries to the property even before we have arrived. Not sure if this is something to consider as just makes it all easier instead of worrying about a supermarket shop on arrival.

“The property was gorgeous!”

Very well equipped, very warm, easy access. Mark was extremely helpful when the dishwasher decided not to play ball Christmas eve. He popped in Christmas morning to sort it, which was extremely good of him. The kitchen has ample of everything! You can easily cook up a feast, then kick back and watch the smart tv in front of the log burner. The property is done to a high standard, love the 'quirky' mirrors in the bathrooms! Log burner was lovely given the time of year. Dogs loved being able to run in the field in front of the property. Some lovely sunrises and sunsets with the views of open fields. Bedrooms were nice and warm, with the underfloor heating. You can control each room, which was great. Once parked up you can close the gates and be secure if you have 4 legged friends with you. A very nice patio area with grass at the back of the property. The welcome cream tea was lovely. Bedding and towels were excellent. The property was immaculate, and they had tried to make it a home from home, a credit to them. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to be a couple of miles from a town to enjoy the open countryside and the tranquillity. No light pollution if you like stargazing!

“We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful holiday home.”

It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The underfloor heating kept the whole place warm and cosy, and it was ideal for our dog too. The fully enclosed garden and driveway gave us peace of mind, and the view out across the fields was just lovely. We really enjoyed being able to slide open the bifold doors and let the outdoors flow right inside. We also made use of the log fire on a couple of evenings, which added an extra touch of warmth and charm. Although we didn’t meet Liz, Mark was incredibly welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed during our stay. Our only slight preference would have been a softer bed. It was a little firm for us personally and could easily be improved with a thicker mattress topper. That said, it certainly didn’t take away from our overall experience. We would absolutely recommend this property, and if we’re lucky enough to visit Cornwall again, we’d love to stay here once more. The location is wonderfully central for exploring all the county has to offer

“We arrived at Lake View after a long journey and were very impressed with what we saw.”

The property was excellent! It was in a lovely spot and was very convenient for visiting the area. The underfloor heating was much appreciated. It had one of the best equipped kitchens I have seen and was used!. The two bathrooms were great and the showers!! We would definitely return. The only problem we had was opening the front door!! We struggled to get in and out. Luckily there was an alternative.

Great location for touring north and south Cornwall. Quality fittings throughout even down to the patio furniture. Fabulous showers. No expense spared. Owners friendly and not imposing. Cream tea very welcome, thank you! Would recommend and would definitely return.

“This is a fabulous property.”

Modern, comfortable and clean. Very well equipped. Set in a quiet countryside location, but in easy reach of shops, local attractions and beaches. There are plenty of lovely walks nearby and a National trust house and beautiful gardens (Trerice) within walking distance. There is a large field and pond on the grounds of Lake View house, and our dog loved the freedom of running around, but it is a working farm, so your dog has to be obedient. There is a ‘sun trap’ patio and chairs outside as well, which is fabulous if the weather is as lovely as it was when we were there. The owners are friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back. It is by far the best rental property that I have ever stayed at in Cornwall .

“The holiday house was really good.”

Everything you would want was there. The beds and linen are of good quality and very comfy. The outside space was good too and secure enough to keep our dog safe and the field was great to be able to walk When the summer crowds have gone we will definitely be back. Ultra modern, no expense has been spared on this property. Underfloor heating a lovely wood burner and wonderful showers. Everything thing you need for perfect relaxing getaway is there. The cottage was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable and warm, with everything you needed making it a great place to stay. We had the best nights sleep ever. This Cornish village rests some three miles south-east of Newquay, named after the surrounding area of moorland and playing host to a local shop, a couple of pubs, a garden centre and the railway station, which operates local services every couple of hours between Par and Newquay. You can also access Newquay by car, via the A392, and discover its endless supply of rolling surf, three wonderful beaches, each offering something different, and a variety of family-friendly attractions.
