Amazing and welcoming owner Trudi

We had a lovely time at the Wagon House.

Had a very warm welcome with fresh scones and Trudi and Sam were always on hand to answer questions and even took us up to one of their fields to watch the solar eclipse! The cottage is on a working farm and our kids loved to roam around and meet the animals, walk around the lake and climb trees. There is some car noise from the road nearby, but otherwise it's a very peaceful spot and we came home recharged!

The wagon house is a lovely cottage set in a beautiful location.

Trudi is a marvellous host and her welcome pack was amazing. The location is ideal for visiting the coast and we had great days out. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who needs a relaxing holiday. Certainly give it 5*.

Lovely owners who care very much about their guests. Trudi really gives you a warm welcome. Clean, charming and cozy cottage. Could we give more stars we would give them! We will never forget the lovely tour Sam gave us around the farm. We'll be back.

Thoroughly lovely cottage, in an idyllic setting that is almost something from a fantasy novel.

The cottage itself was lovely, comfortable, fully equipped with all the necessary modern amenities. Truly the surroundings are what sets it apart though. Looking out from the conservatory you can see the lake and small woods, there is a small stream in the larger grounds of the farm. There is a Pub within walking distance( probably less than 5 minutes), which does very good food. As there is no pathway though, probably best to drive. To top it all there is the incredible Lakeside Gallery on the site.If you grew up in 80's and read Tolkien you'll be in for a massive treat, as Roger Garland did much of the book cover art for LOTR and The Silmarillion etc. Linda and Seth Garland also have some beautiful art work there also. I'm sure we will go back. A massive thank you to Trudi and Sam for such a warm welcome and memorable stay, and the delicious scones.

Beautiful location and views from the cottage Trudi was there to welcome us on our arrival which was nice Clean, comfortable and well equipped Plenty of games, jigsaw and books for visitors to enjoy use of Great location for touristy spots We would definitely recommend to others Trudi kindly left us with some lovely homemade scones, jams and clotted cream to enjoy 10 out of 10

Well what can I say, what an amazing place to stay, Trudie and Sam were the best hosts ever.

The house was stunning and the surroundings were on another level. I would live here if I could. Anywhere else we stay will be compared to The wagon House. We will be back. Thank you Trudi & Sam x

The cottage was perfect, it has everything you need for a self-catering break, very much home from home.

The setting is beautiful and a central location to visit lots of different places. The lake is perfect for fishing. Hosts Trudi and Sam are lovely, very welcoming and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the wagon house, it was the perfect base for exploring Cornwall.

The scones on arrival were delicious and the children loved seeing the animals on the farm and feeding the fish in the pond. Trudi and Sam were so welcoming, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We had a wonderful stay at the wagon house it had everything we needed including some wonderful welcoming treats the beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean and fresh could not find fault with anything the owners were very kind and friendly and made us feel so welcome .

it was an absolute pleasure to stay there and we would love to make a return visit next year.

Just back from a wonderfully relaxing week at The Wagon House, we were welcomed by Trudi who gave us all the info we needed to settle in, left us a beautiful homemade cream tea and something fruity to wash it down with!

, the stunning gardens and huge pond were delightful and we loved sitting in the conservatory in the evenings listening to the birdsong and occasional rain shower. The house had everything we needed and more so thank you for making our holiday so good. We visited so many beautiful places, loads of National Trust sites close by, the stunning fishing ports, Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach are definately worth a visit and the Screech Owl Sanctuary was also a lovely find. Thanks Trudi and Sam.

Had a wonderful stay at the Wagon House.

We had pretty awful weather, but the little house was very homely, warm and comfortable and it was actually quite nice watching the wind and rain from the comfy sofa! The new bathroom refit had literally just been completed when we got there, so there was a little bit of residue building dust but nothing of any concern and the house was otherwise clean and tidy. Very impressed with the well equipped kitchen (so nice to go somewhere and find little everyday things tin foil, washing up liquid and pegs!). Bedding was impressively soft and warm despite very low temperatures for the first couple of days. Enjoyed a couple of lake walks when not raining, the site is well maintained with a good path around most of it, though walking boots or wellies needed after the rain. Must say that the Wi-Fi was very good and strong and had no problems with signal at all. Scones and jam (and wine!) were very tasty and well received, thank you. Trudi and Sam were very warm and welcoming in a very unobtrusive way. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would be very happy to stay again when next in that area.

if you are looking for someware , away from the husle and bussle of every day life, look no further then the wagon house.

set in stuning countryside, overlooking the lake, we have stayed at a number of propities in cornwall, but we can say this is bye far the best, we found evrything we needed when we arived was there. trudi and sam, were such great housts,and made us feel very welcome,and were always very helpfull,even showing us around there farm, whitch we realy enjoyed, we look foaward to another holiday at the wagon house, as is star are dog,thanks again, trudi and sam, for the wonderfull time, we had staying at the wagon house, terry and carol wood,

Unfortunately, we arrived at "The Wagon House", with a bug, which marred our stay at this delightful property.

The welcome was excellent and very helpful. The house was very well equipped and the location and grounds were just right for exploring the area.

What a gem we have discovered.

100% satisfaction. Everything you should need is here, we did not need to open our "utility bag". Trudi was there with a warm welcome in spite of our late arrival. Fresh eggs, milk, homemade scones and homemade jam, cream in the fridge and a bottle of wine on the table. Amazing grounds which you are free to explore at your leisure. We found Wagon House comfortable and as warm as we wanted it to be. It is a short and easy drive to Launceston for food supplies and has quick and easy access to the main routes for the tourist sites in all directions. Without a doubt we consider this to be the best of cottages we have stayed in over the last 17 years. The Wagon House is outstanding and we have no hesitation in recommending this 5* cottage. Book it and experience it for yourselves

Being in that unsettled state of “in between houses” The Wagon House was an oasis of peace for Mum and me.

Trudi is a wonderful host going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Not to mention the homemade jam and scones waiting for us to enjoy, the farm fresh eggs and homegrown courgettes! Thank you so much Trudi for your kindness.

The property is beautiful and is nestled in fabulous surroundings , it is warm and cosy with everything you could ever need .

Really enjoyed our week at the Wagon House.

The owners were so friendly and welcoming and we were allowed to wander round their garden, the lake and fields. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean, bathroom a bit outdated but we were advised that would be changed in due course. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean and the conservatory lovely to sit in at the end of the day and watch the heron fishing on the lake.

The Wagon House was a perfect base for exploring north and south Cornwall coastlines.

The accommodation had everything we needed in the cottage. Trudie could not of been anymore helpful a lovely stay.

Really enjoyed staying here it felt very relaxed and homely.

I have had the most wonderful stay at the wagon house .

Trudi and Sam are perfect hosts and the cottage had every possible home comfort , with great attention to detail. Trudi is very creative and it’s a very nice touch that her nature focused embroidery and art work complement the decor . I liked the mushrooms and pheasant especially . I’ve already let them know how much my stay meant to me , and will definitely be returning there . Peace, quiet, comfort , beautiful surroundings ( which have helped me to relax and recuperate- so needed ), deep sleep due to the quiet and lack of light pollution, lots for me to enjoy nature wise with my camera were all highlights and I’ve come away feeling far better after only a few short days. It is in Lovely locality with super walks directly from the cottage ( this time a help to me as I didn’t have my car with me ) to the local church at Lezant ( medieval, beautiful ) , and quaint Cornish cottages everywhere a photographers delight but the lake and woodland walk available to the cottage ( as are all the grounds and gardens ) were delightful. I’d hoped to see their kingfisher but I think it was a tad too cold this time of year to sit at the birdwatching seat too long. ( spring summer and autumn would be perfick for this ). The adorable book nook ( which is a cute steepled little brick alongside the cottage , with a stained glass window and seat in to sit in at any time of day or night ( there is a light ) absolutely enchanted me . I did again sit in for a while but too cold ( below freezing ) this particular stay for a long read. The cottage was very comfortable and warm . Lots provided to do of an evening too with the well stocked book shelf and games. WiFi dependable too. All in all a marvellous stay , I had a couple of queries whilst there which were very easily sorted. Trudis delicious home made scones and jam and the wine in the welcome pack were much appreciated ( hubby enjoyed the scones and I enjoyed the jams over several days - the crabapple jelly being especially yummy ). We had the most wonderful time here! Trudi and Sam were so welcoming and lovely and just went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. We have 2 boys with ASD and the welcome, care, kindness and support received made the stay that more lovely! The setting is just beautiful, we loved the walks and seeing the sheep and the baby calves! 100% recommend and 100% we will definitely book again! Thank you so much Trudi and Sam!

We cant recommend the Wagon House highly enough.

The location is ideal for a Cornwall holiday and the cottage itself has everything you need. The grounds and lake are beautiful and with the BBQ facilities and picnic bench - the perfect setting for a family dinner. Trudi and Sam's hospitality is second-to-none and they go out of their way to make sure the stay is memorable. The fresh home-baked scones that Trudi greeted us with on arrival were very much appreciated. Thank you for a memorable holiday. Asif & Family

We arrived for a short break to attend a family funeral, Trudie said we were able to arrive earlier than the published time and met us on arrival to show us around and how things worked.

One of my sons arrived much later in the evening and was only able to stay one night, due to workcommitments. Trudie showed us where he could park. The property is on the owner's grounds, just before you get to their house. It has it's own courtyard directly outside the back door, which looks out onto a folly set up as a reading room. The cottage was large, nicely laid out and we felt at home and comfortable straight away. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The beds were comfortable and loads of towels were supplied. Having the conservatory was a dream and it didn't stop the views from the lounge. The views were spectacular, over looking a beautiful lake. We were allowed to walk the dog around the lake and fields if we wanted to. We walked her around the lake and she had a few paddles which she loved. The welcome pack of homemade scones, jam and cream and a bottle of wine was very much appreciated. Trudie made us feel very welcome, even coming over to see how the funeral went. We enjoyed our stay (apart from the circumstances) very much and the weather was good, the grounds lovely, so we didn't feel the need to travel around, we were happy to stay and just relax. We would love to return again in the future. Trudie, thank you so much.

The Wagon house is a lovely place to stay for your holiday.

We were greeted at the entrance by Trudi, who gave us directions 20 minutes away from the property. Trudi let us know everything we needed to know about the house, which we were grateful for. Any problems just contact her. The house is situated on a small working farm and also there is an art gallery if that is your thing. The gardens and surrounding farm areas, including a large lake opposite the house, was absolutely stunning. Apparently an otter has been spotted there, we didn't see it, but plenty of wildlife to keep you amused. You can walk the dog through their farm fields..watch out for the pet lambs..very friendly. Overall we would highly recommend the Wagon House and hope to return one day. David, Heidi, Ralphy

What an amazing week in the Wagon House.

Trudi and Sam could not have been more welcoming. The cottage had everything you need and more and the welcoming package was a lovely touch. The surroundings were beautiful, my 14yr old and I found lots of areas in the gardens and lake to read and watch the lambs while my husband spent time with Farmer Sam. We had a BBQ around the lake one evening which was lovely. Trudi and Sam were fantastic hosts. Perfect for a relaxing break and a launch pad for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Couldn’t fault the holiday break, except for the weather, but that didn’t take away from the lovely welcome from the owner and the thoughtful touches throughout our time there.

Everything was provided including some very welcome touches for my little dog. Would certainly return if visiting the area again.

The Wagon House is a great place to stay.

Clean and comfortable and in a great location. The owner Trudi is on hand if needed and was a great host including giving an insight in to sheep farming to my teenage daughter who also thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Will definitely be back as soon as possible

We were met on arrival by the host Trudi who explained how everything works which was so helpful, i must say nothing was too much trouble when any enquiries were asked.

The cottage and grounds were fabulous, everything you need is supplied, and theres a lake, woodland and gorgeous gardens to stroll around, the cottage is so cosy and warm even in december, we cant thank our hosts enough and will definitely be staying again. Thank you Cheryl and Kell xx
