We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful home from home!
The sea views are spectacular! The dog loved the beach and there was so much to do in the area. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were very sad to leave and felt a week was just not long enough! We would book 2 weeks next time! I think the accommodation with those views was an absolute bargain price too! Thanks so much for having us stay.
The view is breathtaking, once in the cottage we didn’t want to leave.
We assumed that the renovation of the cottage is a work in progress. I don’t mind wonky floor boards or cracked skirtings. I was frustrated that so much time and energy has been given to decorating the cottage with pretty pictures and ornaments, yet the bedding was poor quality and didn’t fit the beds, very limited hanging space on small rails, no wardrobes. only one of the many pretty clocks worked, bulbs missing from the chandeliers, 2 of the 4 plantation chairs were broken, the artificial plants were dusty, shaver sockets didn’t work, the patio needed a proper sweep. The kitchen had loads of mugs and baking trays, which incidentally were in poor condition, but no chopping board, salad spinner. The kitchen scissors were useless but there were pretty egg cups displayed on the windowsill and about 15 pictures on the walls. One toilet roll was provided for two bathrooms. It made me think that a child had been sent shopping to buy stuff to make the cottage habitable and they spent all the money on ‘pretty things’, not practical ones. The electric fans a welcome addition, shame they were thick with dust.
We stayed for 5 days at raven cottage, beautiful views beautiful place.
Parts need a bit of tlc and the keysafe was very stiff and tricky to open and close so we didn’t use Very quiet place few places to eat that are local but beware they finish serving early Maybe a good idea to call to confirm times open as websites need updating. Take extra towels and loo rolls as only one loo roll in each bathroom. Would definitely stay again
