“Had a lovely break in Cheesewring Cottage.”

It was spotlessly clean and very cosy. Spectacular views over Bodmin Moor. The perfect place to unwind. A cream tea was waiting for us on arrival which was very much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

About the location

Liskeard 6 miles; Tavistock 15 miles.

Upton Cross is a small Cornish village originally housing miners but now a quiet retreat set in rolling countryside on the edge of Bodmin Moor. From here there is easy access to some of Bodmin Moor’s most striking features, including the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor and the engine houses at Minions, as well as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill. The village has a traditional 17th century pub serving good food and a Post Office. Both coasts are within easy reach, from the crashing surf of the north coast to the clear waters and fishing villages of the south.
