Mum's Cottage

Just got back home after a lovely weeks stay in Mums cottage.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Lovely cream tea, fresh milk and doggy treats on arrival. Cottage did not disappoint, spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is to die for and I have never seen that many stars in the sky before. The cottage is well equipped and considering the location, WiFi signal was brilliant so no issues streaming tv on an evening. Water pressure not great but a small price to pay. Slight downside which may have been a misunderstanding on my part was the listing said to bring throws for the furniture for dogs which I understood to mean dogs were allowed on the furniture but the welcome pack states dogs were not allowed on the furniture. My 2 dogs are lap dogs and despite covering up with our own throws for when they jumped up we still adhered to the rules and kept them off as we appreciate the owners requests to protect their soft furnishings. We visit Cornwall annually and stay somewhere new each time so we get to see different areas but this will be a hard one not to revisit.

Great place to stay mums cottage was a pleasure to stay there also sofas so comfortable and beds lovely and clean pieceful no traffic what's so ever lovely views from cottage so Clean & tidy everything you needed very well equipped was greeted by a lovely lady cream tea on arrival dog treats also I would reckamend staying there didn't want to come home so relaxing mums cottage well worth staying and getting away from hussle and bussle if you live in a town.

Just like before we found the cottage comfortable and had everything we needed to make our holiday successful.

Wonderful cottage in an amazing location.

Lovely welcome pack... yummy scones. We didn't want to leave. Ideal place if you have dogs with an exercise field. They even got a welcome treat as well! We will be back. Ideal location for walks straight from the door, or to explore Cornwall. Huge comfy bed. Lots of clothes storage. Very well equiped kitchen. We even bought the same wok while we were there as it was so good!

Beautiful farm with super hosts and everything you need in a home from home.

Such a relaxing stay, we didn’t want to leave. A week went by so quickly.

Super cottage in a fantastic location.

Very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Friendly and welcoming. Awesome views across Bodmin Moor, with moorland hiking on the doorstep. The coastal towns of Looe and Polperro are a relatively short drive away and the towns of Liskeard and Launceston are also close. The village shop in Minions is a few minutes drive away and has a good range of food and drink, and a teashop. Highly recommend Mum's Cottage!

We really loved Mum’s cottage, couldn’t fault it an any way, the views are breathtaking!

Spotlessly clean and plenty of very comfy seating. Seeing all the animals up on the moor was a daily treat. The lovely owners left some delicious homemade scones for our arrival, and a treat for our dog. The garden isn’t enclosed and dogs need to be kept on leads as it’s a farm but they have a great dog field which is very handy to give them a run. The location was great for visiting all parts of Cornwall. We would love to return.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortabel, clean and well equiped cottage!

Owners are very welcoming and friendly. The moor is accessible directly from the property and the central location is perfect to explore Cornwall. Two weeks flew by and we would be very happy to return here in the future! We booked the cottage via Vrbo, one minor complaint is that you (Sykes Cottages) do not communicate through their app. I send a question on the payment of the booking. For the second payment I needed to create another account at Sykes, which I did not prefer or informed about when booking. If I book at via Vrbo, I would like to be able (and expect) to complete the booking via Vrbo.

Fabulous cottage and really warm welcome.

we were made extremely welcome and enjoyed having the owners nearby.

Fantastic views from the cottage and we enjoyed waking up to the loud birdsong in the mornings. Having the moor right on our doorstep was wonderful and enjoyed walking our dog there everyday. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious but there were a few things missing that would have been very helpful especially in the kitchen. No scissors or information on how to use the appliances also to have information on the local history and places to visit. It was okay for us it was our 3rd visit to the moors but for someones 1st visit a bit more info on where to go and on the Cheesewring itself could be beneficial for future visitors. But we will be returning it was a great holiday.

I can recommend this property for anyone wanting peace, quiet and comfort.

The views are spectacular and the cottage was very very clean and very very comfortable. An unexpected bonus was the dog paddock, as with livestock on the moorland, it allowed us to give our boy a good free run most days. I have put Cheesewring Farm on my return to list....there was nothing not to like...Thank you to our hosts for sharing their property with us...

Had a lovely 2 week stay at Mums Cottage.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. There was a cream tea, milk and eggs on arrival and we received this again at the beginning of the second week. The owners were lovely and friendly. The property has amazing views and access to the Moor for some great walks. Will definitely stay here again.

A lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful location.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the eggs, scones with jam and cream, plus the Doggie welcome pack was a lovely touch. It is very quiet and tranquil and we enjoyed a very relaxing week at Mum’s cottage. Would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely week in Mums Cottage at Cheesewring Farm, the views are stunning & the hosts are very welcoming.

I would definitely recommend a stay here. Cheesewring stones are worth the climb (easier path via the Hurlers stones car park) the Hurlers are worth a visit. Seaton beach & Looe harbour are a short drive away on the south coast and you have Port Issac & Gaverne, Bude & Tintagel to the north & only 45 mins from Ilfracombe,Devon.

The week at mums cottage was one of the most stress free weeks we have had in a long time.

We can't praise it highly enough, comfortable beds for sleeping and a homely lounge to relax and unwind after a day out. Bathroom was as good as you would find in a 5* hotel. Kitchen was well set up and then the view either from the lounge or out in the garden was spectacular. 1 week wasn't long enough to see and do everything on our wishlist so we're just going to have to come back
