Apartment was excellent.

Wonderful sea view, great sunsets. Just to mention - we looked for the Tunnels and sea water pool. We found that they were now closed indefinitely to the public. The Tunnels are accessible only as a wedding venue.

A beautifully maintained and furnished property.

A balcony with a great sea view to watch stunning sunsets with a glass of wine. The car park is gated, so secure. The harbour is just a short walk with many cafes and restaurants. I cannot fault this most wonderful apartment, it was our third stay there and we will be coming again.

I absolutely LOVED this place!

!! The local town is stunning and isn’t overly crowded with other tourists. It is a lovely place to stay in, a high standard, well equipped flat with an amazing view and close to all the amenities. It has everything you could possibly need and is absolutely spotless. I never once felt like this flat wasn’t well cared for and I highly recommend this place.

Beautifully furnished, clean and well equipped, brilliant shower, but best of all was the amazing view of the sea from the balcony. It was a lovely walk into the harbour and around Ilfracombe. Would thorough recommend staying here.

Ilfracombe is run down and not a nice place to stay.

Tunnels beach is closed. Town centre is dirty, dilapidated and feels unsafe to walk around in the evening. Fairground set up whilst we were there and the “owners” were drunk, obnoxious and rude when you walked by. The apartment is lovely with great views, but Ilfracombe needs a major facelift to attract tourists. Do not stay in Ilfracombe - visit for a day or use for boat trips. Awful place. Check social media about Ilfracombe.

Great apartment very comfortable and the views are spectacular.

Very quiet only the seagulls making a noise! The Wetherspoons about 3 min walk is really good with a rooftop bar. The location of the property is perfect used the bus few times which saved driving. All in all a great week in a great apartment.

Beautiful property.

Even better than the photographs and much bigger than expected. Everything you could possibly need for your holidays. Perfect location to explore the harbour, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The sunset views are amazing!

Beautiful large and spacious apartment, excellent location close to the harbour,bars and restaurants.

Plenty of security to communal entrance foyer and lift. The apartment is furnished to an excellent standard ,with a large hallway. The Kitchen is well equipped and spotlessly clean. The open plan lounge/ dining/ kitchen is modern , bright and light. The main bedroom has plenty of storage and a comfortable bed (we had great nights sleep) The en suite bathroom is again spotlessly clean with a large shower. We didn’t use the second bedroom or bathroom but they looked to be the same standard as the rest of the apartment. The view from the front and balcony is lovely and the walk you can see opposite up the zigzag path is not as steep as it looks . It’s well worth it for the view or if you’re not that adventurous you can walk around the base which is less strenuous and takes you to the harbour. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

The property was better than expected and had everything' you would need for your stay away.

It would have been good to have had a guest book to look at other people's recommendations of places to visit and eat. I feel a more informative book listing how to use the food waste disposal system and the fact that the key fob works instead of using the codes would have made life a bit easier. It would be safer to have a slip mat for the bath. These comments are just to highlight what would have made a great holiday a fantastic one

An amazing apartment with fab views of the Ilfracombe coast.

Apartment was spacious, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean- we would stay here again and definitely recommend it. Best self catering property we have stayed in.

The apartment was lovely.

It has been finished to a high standard. There does not appear to any corners cut in the facilities provided. Our only issue is with the information provided by the website as to getting keys. We printed the info on our laser printer but the typeface used came out as light grey making hard to read. The telephone numbers on it were completely missing. The info said to go to level 4 in the lift. That should be level 3. Another apartment had put a small label next to their floor which might be useful. We couldn’t find the cutlery drawer as we were not expecting to look for a drawer within a drawer. Overall the apartment was lovely and we would stay again if we visited Ilfracombe again.

The apartment was beautiful with gorgeous views it was exactly as it was in the photos.

It has everything you could possibly need in equipment etc for making our time there perfect.

The apartment was superb; modern, clean, spacious and in a great position with lovely sea views. We have already recommended it to our friends and family. We really could not fault it - however not to detract from it, an outside balcony light would be a nice touch.

We didn’t want to leave. The accommodation was comfortable and homely and had the most beautiful view. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

This is a delightful modern and immaculately clean apartment.

Overlooking the front it has spectacular sunsets and you are only a short walk from the charming harbour and some excellent pubs and restaurants. We had a blocked sink which was rectified within 2 hours of reporting it. This was our second stay at the property and we will go again. A gem.

Absolutely amazing apartment to say in.

Everything u could possibly need is there. So relaxing and comfortable. Amazing see view and amazing sunsets. Sit on the balcony for ur meals or for a glass or two of wine. U will absolutely love it as we did last year and this year. Are 13 year old granddaughter absolutely loves in and feels at home. Sykes is a brilliant site to book so helpful and so nice to talk to and sort everything out for u.

What an amazing apartment.

Lovely decor, very modern and clean. Very well equipped kitchen and lots of nice touches like games and buckets and spades. Fantastic location right in the heart of Ilfracombe meaning we didn't need to use the car. Will definitely be back.

This booking was for a disabled lady looking for a week away with daughter, I didn’t see the steps at the front but main concern no banister rail to help up the stairs.

When we arrived the property was not fully cleaned, a lot of food marks left from previous guest, dirty pans, oven was really dirty, hob not clean and we had to fully clean the main areas ourselves , however thanks you for sending the cleaners on Friday, ( Who informed me that they were shop staff and not cleaners ) To confirm this property was left spotless compared to how we received it, on leaving 22nd July These pointed of concern are 1-All plates full of food marks and stains. 2-Pans and oven Trays all dirty 3-Bathroom tiles and shower stained and not clean with some hair left via last occupiers. 4- Oven left dirty with food residue on 5- Windows thick of dust and not clean also all the decking all dirty full of bird lime ect 6- Can not sat for sure but felt like there had been dogs in the property, due to allergies been set off all week. It was a non pet property so I am told. We paid over £1400 pounds for this week stay, I felt it was over priced for the area, but the view was nice. There is a apartment adjacent, street level with conservatory, it was occupied with 10 people and 4 screaming kids all evening till 1am some nights. So if you want peaceful it isn’t as peaceful as it looks. I am unsure I would return, not a lot to do other than walks, 2/3 days is the max you need here, Cornwall is a much better area to stay, but couldn’t get in this week. Regards

The apartment was immaculately clean and beautifully presented.

All appliances were available and modern. The location was good and handy to Ilfracombe harbour for good quality restaurants. Evening sunsets from the balcony were spectacular.

Amazing apartment , the views are superb.

Very spacious for 2 of us and everything needed was provided. Slight problem with having to refire boiler constantly but did not impact on enjoyment of holiday. Will be booking again soon.

This is a lovely apartment in a quality block, very central and overlooking the sea (be aware it's on a steep incline!

)It was very comfortable although we did have a problem with the heating which we reported, hopefully this will be sorted before the weather deteriorates any further.

The apartment was lovely.

Spacious & great views. The only negatives centre around the ‘combi’boiler which let us down mid week and meant we were unable to have showers in the morning. This was fixed in the afternoon following phone calls with Mark the owner. The other associated issue was heating controls - high tech Hive technology but controlled by Mark via his PC. Simple heating / HW controls in the apartment would be welcome.

We were a little disappointed with Sykes on arrival as they had given us outdated information for entering the building and we had to phone twice for the correct codes.

This is an excellent apartment with fantastic views and a touch of luxury, private parking space and everything you could need.

we had a small issue with the boiler which was quickly resolved, communication regarding the issue was very good from both the cleaning company and the owner. another slight niggle was the windows had not been cleaned in a while so i actually cleaned part of them to enjoy the view! also the oven shelves had not been cleaned properly, minor issues and didn't spoil the experience. I would highly recommend this apartment but as the price for next year has gone up 50%!!! i would look elsewhere unfortunately.

Superb standard of apartment where the facilities and comfort exceeded expectations and the sea view from the balcony was amazing.

The holiday was a resounding success with the family and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future, well recommended.

The apartment was fantastic.

It was very modern, spacious and more than we expected. Ilfracombe itself could do with a tidy up in places but overall a great holiday.

This is the second time we have stayed at 5 Arlington Villas.

last time was in October 2020 but the weather was bad and not many places open. But the apartment was brilliant. This year very good weather and most places open had a great time and some really lovely meals. We saw some fantastic sunsets from the balcony, perfect way to end an evening. As before apartment was spotless. Had a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. We will be using Sykes again.

My wife and I took a 4 night break and wanted a nice apartment knowing the weather might not be great while we were there.

We like to walk and explore the areas we visit. We were very impressed with this apartment and think it is the best one we had this year of the staycations!

A wonderful apartment in a great location with sweeping sea views.

The apartment is finished to a high specification. Most importantly for a winter holiday it is warm with individual room controls and massive radiators in the main room. The only negative was poor communication about the car park. The numbers we were sent by Sykes were wrong and no one pointed out that we could use the fob on the set of house of house keys - we worked it out after few days of fiddling with number pads.

Had a great holiday , Great simple check in process Stunning view from the balcony , lovely space in the living area , Fast wifi , lovely and clean , nice modern decor And only a couple of mins from the Town or seafront Couldn’t recommend it any higher and were already looking for our next booking

It was an extremely well appointed, modern apartment and was comfortable and exceptionally clean and tidy.

The views were lovely and the short walk into town provided many opportunities to leave the car in the car park.

I feel I should point out that the entry codes you provided on "Your Key Collection Details" were incorrect but, corrected by Angela Encarnacao. The lift also stops at floor 3 for apartment 5! Detail on your website should include that the kitchen hob is an induction hob and not suitable for use by people with pacemakers! In addition - the following should be passed to the relevant people of the property:- 1 - Dishwasher was loaded with dirty crockery, glasses and cutlery when we arrived! 2 - Toilet seat in en-suite had loose fixings. 3 - Light on either side of mirror in en-suite needs light bulbs. 4 - Condition of refuse area disgusting, I took photograph which I can forward to you if necessary! 5 - Finally - the information folder provided is in a state of disrepair, and needs updating!

Lovely apartment, very modern and clean.

The heating was a bit erratic, too warm at times. We could not control it, even though we turned it down, it would bounce back to high all the time. The main bathroom was the coldest because the towel rail kept going off. However we stayed an extra 3 days, as we loved the people and the area. Would go back again, perhaps in the summer.

Apartment was superb, extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need.

To look out over the sea whilst eating breakfast was lovely and the weather was warm, dry and sunny. The apartment was quite "high tech" and we did need to telephone Angela once with a question and we had a good laugh as a few other people had also had to telephone to ask "where the cutlery drawer" was !!! We loved staying there and felt that the people of Ilfracombe were very friendly and welcoming. We walked everyday for quite long walks and to breathe fresh air was a bonus. We both came back feeling regenerated.

The apartment was fantastic.

Quality of furnishings, decor and equipment was extremely high. Always makes a visit feel a treat if the standard of accomadation is high and 5 Arlington VILLAS delivers! Would use again

A lovely place to stay but could be so much better.

It needs the air temperature controls to actually work. The whole flat was to hot, no matter how we much we tried to follow the instructions and request a lower temp. Best place was the main entrance lobby, nice and COOL.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for the week and would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone looking for a stylish place to stay.

It was a bit disappointing not to find a hair dryer!

The car park barrier did not open from the inside automatically - so you have to be agile with the code! Apart from that, the location is very good and the parking place is a big advantage. The fixtures and fittings are all of a very high standard and seem hardly to be used. In all, an excellent holiday let.

The apartment was fantastic, very clean and stocked with high quality kitchen equipment.

The communal areas were very well maintained and the entry system made it feel very safe and secure. The view from the living area was wonderful and we couldn’t fault anything with the accommodation.

Getting in and out of the car park was a pain.

My wife had to get out of the car to put a code in the keypad. Nearly every day she got wet due to the weather. Should be a fob Heating didn’t work well and we couldn’t touch it. Mainly applied to lounge area Sky tv would be nice as well
