“In the end there was just 2 of us staying here so had plenty of space to ourselves.”

I clearly hadn’t read all the reviews properly as this house isn’t that suitable for anyone with ooor mobility. Even getting a cuppa from the kitchen proved difficult for my husband so I had to help in every situation. The house is very clean (apart from cigarette butts outside the back door) and it had all that we needed. Even getting a cuppa from the kitchen proved difficult for my husband so I had to help in every situation. The house is very clean (apart from cigarette butts outside the back door) and it had all that we needed. We did have a problem with turning on the cooker which resulted in us losing power but luckily we found the fuse box. Being on three floors it’s difficult to maintain a good heat on the bottom floor but we didn’t freeze. Parking not ideal but at £15 for the week it wasn’t that bad. Hope future guests are savvy enough to download the app as Wi-Fi terrible in the area

LAUNCESTON

Bude 19 miles.

The town of Launceston, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, has wonderful architecture, including some fine Georgian buildings in the central square, and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle sitting high above the town. You can take a stroll to the Dog friendly Willow Tree Cafe and Woodland Walk or visit the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip.
