We love this place it was our 11th visit!

We love the quietness and tranquility of this place it's close enough to the town to pick up supplies but far enough to be away from it all and it's easy to get to every where. It's like home from home it isn't full of the latest gadgets but this doesn't bother us at all our dog loves it too!

Excellent property!

Everything that is required is provided. Owner kept us well informed. This accommodation gives absolute peace and quiet while only minutes into Launceston.

We had a great stay.

Everything we wanted in the cottage, very clean . The views were lovely and we even got to sit outside in the unseasonably warm weather.

Lovely place to stay had everything we required very warm and comfortable.

Great area to drive and visit other locations from. The scenery around the barn was incredible and very secluded just as described in the advert. The bed was amazingly comfortable.

This was our fourth time staying at Middle Barn, we love it there so much it’s so quiet ,peaceful and relaxing with everything you would ever need to make the holiday so special it was the little touches that were so thoughtful ,thank you James, always feel sad when we have to leave and hope to return again soon.

clean, comfortable accomodation. Great views from the garden looking down the valley to Launceston town. Lovely touch with a bottle of milk & a bottle of wine. Dogs are welcome here, with a nice garden area, woods nearby and situated along a long drive. well away from any roads. highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay!

! Loved everything about it. The peaceful setting was amazing. The outdoor area and facilities came in very handy during our stay in the heatwave. And thank heaven for the fan!!! Amazing barn conversion. Loved it. Didn’t want to leave. Definitely be back. Thankyou to the owner who was so helpful. 10/10

The property was warm and very comfortable with everything we needed, it was set in a peaceful location with great views.

It had plenty of space outside for our four legged family member to run around, on a long lead. Plenty of parking space. Great holiday.

We loved our stay at Middle Barn.

Great location, really peaceful, a lovely walk down the lane, through the woods. The barn was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could want, for your stay. Thank you for the tea, coffee, sugar and milk so, you could have a drink on your arrival, after a long journey. The bottle of wine was also a lovely touch. There was a small problem with the boiler but, phoned James and he came and fixed it straight away. We would love to come and Stay again sometime soon.

The property was well located for exploring areas we wanted to visit.

Middle barn was just the right size for us, well decorated and comfortable. We prefer a slightly firmer mattress and solid headboard but we coped and it wouldn't deter us from staying again. The view was just stunning and we loved having the farm animals around us.

Enjoyed every minute if our stay.

Marked F&M down...fridge was noisy so had to sleep with b/m door closes. Water from kitchen tap very cloudy...we bought bottles. Oil heating pipe should be higher,fumes came into the barn.

We had a lovely couple of days at the barn.

Very quiet and was able to chill. Would have loved the pubs to be closer.

Always a fantastic place to stay home from home very peaceful and fantastic views.

James has done a great job of this barn conversion.

It is beautifully and comfortably furnished internally and externally and is in a superb setting. The local wildlife also seem to enjoy the peace and quiet of the location; from the terraced patio I had regular sightings of deer, buzzards, rabbits, pheasants, as well as a flypast by a heron. Even the cows in the field immediately behind Middle Barn seem to respect the peaceful atmosphere by mooing very quietly. The location is ideal for visits to both Dartmoor and the Cornish coast.

The cottage was very nice, compleet and comfortable.

Middle Barn is a fantastic place to stay for a couple looking for a peaceful, rural time but close to Launceston.

We found the cottage perfect for us to explore Devon and Cornwall with great views over Launceston and beyond. It was clean and well equipped with lots of parking space. We would definitely use again if we are in the area.

I’ve stayed at Middle Barn before and love it there.

It’s so peaceful with lovely views and always feels comfortable and relaxed. It’s also nice seeing the wildlife around the house. James is really helpful with any queries and I always have a good holiday. Hope to stay again in the future.

We loved our stay at Middle Barn, and would very much like to return at some point.

The Barn feels so private in an idyllic, peaceful setting, but is located very conveniently for shops and facilities in Launceston (we walked down one evening as it isn't far), and the A30 close-by provides an excellent starting point for visiting many places. The views from the Barn are beautiful, surrounded by rolling, open countryside with panoramic views. The Barn itself was clean, comfortable and beautifully equipped and had everything we needed. Our Labrador loved the freedom, and with a quarter of a mile driveway bordered by grass and trees, he had plenty of space to run around. With resident buzzards and house-martins giving us daily aerial displays, there was always something to sit back and watch.

It's a great place to stay So peacefull, great views, we love everything about this place,nicely furnished, always very clean.

Beautiful barn conversion in an absolutely amazing, peaceful and quiet location.

There were a couple of irks which would stop us going back, namely the slippery, badly worn flooring (both we and the dog struggled for grip) and the feeling that the place generally needed some TLC. It's a shame, because it's genuinely one of the loveliest locations we've ever been to.

The barn was lovely.

Exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. The owner, James, came across to welcome us and ask if there was anything we needed which was lovely. He had also left us some wine and milk for our arrival which was very kind and very welcome. Can not fault this property. It was lovely and so so peaceful.

Lovely warm cottage with a view.

Not far from Launceston but in a location that feels like you were in the middle of the countryside. Our dog enjoyed the underfloor heating but found the laminate a bit slippery. Only 2 very, very minor issues, the ice box section of the fridge needs defrosting and there's no potato masher or cheese grater but if you like eating out no problem!

We loved everything about this property.

We have actually booked to come back in the summer as the location is perfect to get to everywhere we want to go in Cornwall. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable to come back to at the end of our days out. Looking forward to returning soon.

We have been staying at Middle Barn for a number of years now and consider it as a home from home.

Great base to get around Cornwall and Devon. Thoroughly recommended for a peaceful break away. James and Joy are great hosts.

Middle Barn is a lovely cottage,well situated with fantastic views.

The cottage was lovely and warm with very easy controls to have each room at different temperatures.Everything that we needed was provided including the brilliant weather we enjoyed.Warm welcome on arrival and clear explanation of the heating etc was given.Would definitely recommend this property excellent!Thank you Shirley crow and David

This was our 13th stay at Middle Barn.

The cottage is always immaculately clean. There is parking right by it. It is warm and very comfortable with stunning views from all the windows. Very comfortable bed. The barn is not huge, but more than big enough for a couple and a dog, and a cosy snuggle down at night. If you like peace and quiet this is a great holiday for you, Launceston shops are about a mile away.

Absolutely superb accommodation.

Beautiful surroundings. The pictures don't lie. Needed and enjoyed a peaceful break despite my mobility problems. Reading visiter write ups it's understandable why so many make return holiday visits. It truly is a lovely place in a wonderful peaceful location.

Very comfortable barn conversion in an excellent location for touring South Devon and North Cornwall with plenty of attractions close by.

Be sure to follow the owners travel directions and ignore sat Nav. Dog owners should note that the garden is not enclosed however the property has an enormous amount of lawn along the driveway for walks.

We have stayed at Middle Barn for the 7th time, we love this place so quiet and relaxing the views are amazing!

We can not fault the accomodation well equipped with everything you would need very clean and very comfy furniture and well equipped for your pets too. And everything you need in the garden too. Cannot fault this place for anything.

Have stayed at Middle Barn three times and love staying there.

It’s in a lovely setting and allows you to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It is also a really good base for traveling to different areas in Cornwall. The barn is very comfortable and clean. The owner James is friendly and really helpful with any queries or concerns I had during the holiday. Hope to stay again in the future.

Beautiful quiet and peaceful setting and a really well equipped place for a getaway.

James was very helpful when there was a problem with the electrics and he was super quick to fix it! It didn’t affect our holiday at all. Thank you!

Lovely and clean cottage, weather unfortunately was quite bad when we were there but the views from the cottage and peace and quiet more than made up for it.

A really fantastic cottage with everything you could want.

A really nice welcome when we arrived.Would recommend the barn to anyone. Left early because of family commitments but a truly great break.A great pity about the weather but did not spoil our stay. The views are fantastic and our bulldog enjoyed the woods.

So clean and calm.

This was our 3rd visit to Middle Barn and again we had a lovely, relaxing week.

The Barn has everything we and our dog needed. Watching the wildlife around us was captivating, buzzards flying and landing so close to the Barn and the nosy bullocks in the field around us. We were reluctant to leave, Maggie our dog, especially as she loves it there.

We had a very wet and windy week but the cottage was comfortable and within easy reach of Launceston.

We'd have liked to walk into the town but the road felt too treacherous for that because it was so narrow and traffic was quite fast. The cottage is in a lovely, peaceful setting and we really appreciated the woodland for walking our dog who, we felt, was very welcome. We also appreciated the welcome wine and milk. Wifi would have been very useful especially as we have to book so many activities at the moment.

Lovely accommodation , perfect location nice and quiet with all amenities a short drive away

Really enjoyed the property in a very tranquil setting.

One minor criticism is that the pictures give the illusion that the rear garden is totally secure for pets to roam freely. It isn't. We purchased a couple of windbreaks which sealed off the open end of the garden which ensured our dog couldn't 'escape'. Other than that I can fully recommend the property to anyone looking for a peaceful break. Well equipped. Nice touch by the owner to greet us and provide some milk, tea and a bottle of wine. Would love to go back in the future

We had a brilliant relaxed week at Middle Barn and we are planning to return in the future if we possibly can.

It is well situated and has all the amenities you need for a week away with just 2 people. Thank you for the welcome pack and the wine was much appreciated.

Lovely location if you are looking for peace and seclusion.

Very comfortable, we felt very at home with our small dog. A freezer would be helpful and wifi when and if the Government fulfils its promises! Otherwise perfect.

Well this was our 2nd visit which was as good as our last visit it looks like time has stood still in the late 12 months at middle barn it's cleanliness comfort was perfect the barn is absolutely spotless it was fantastic to return there and we will definitely be returning again James don't change anything because it's perfect answer I wud say anyone going to middle barn all u need is ur clothes and spends there is everything there u need even a washer machine and u can dry ur clothes by hanging them on coat hangers they dry quick with the heat of the underfloor heating this place is immaculate and so clean

Middle Barn is a delightful holiday cottage, the facilities are first class and we did not want for anything

It was the perfect holiday peace and relaxing and plenty to see and do when we wanted to venture out!

We love this place.

This cottage is far from the normal holiday cottage, Location, Location, Location, by the bucketful.

Use the cottage as a base to explore Cornwall, or fill up a large wine glass, open a book and just chill, whatever you choose, you will enjoy. Cottage clean and comfortable with all mod cons, take the family dog as long as it is well, it will have an enjoyable holiday too. We had a wonderful week in May, great weather, plenty of sunshine, plenty of walking, Thanks to James for milk and wine in the fridge on our arrival, a lovely touch One very small gripe no WI-FI, but who cares your on holiday forget that the WI-FI and enjoy the peace and serenity of the Half Barn Launceston. We would definitely go back when there is only two of is shame no internet access.

The cottage was in a great location to visit several places. Great views from.the cottage too.

This cottage was brilliant its set on the side of a hill with views across the valley and the town.

In the summer this place must be very good but in the winter with the snow around it was great .It is spacious - clean -and had everything we needed for the week plenty of places to visit with a shot drive. Will definitely book there again

Well me and my wife were shocked to such a very high standard of cleaniness I think the owners have though of everything it's like home from home absolutely loved our break with under floor heating my labrador loved it wot we packed for our break stayed in the suit case because everything we needed was already here the views and the walk through the woods with our dog was very nice indeed in my opinion it's got to be a score 10 out of 10 we will be back thanks sykes cottages for a beautiful stay

5th Visit to Middle Barn and it didn't disappoint, lovely relaxing Christmas break.

James and Joy have created a great little gem, we will be back again in the future. The weather wasn't great but the barn is so cosy and comfortable that we didn't care.

The location which helped to a lovely relaxing holiday.

Plus barn had everything and more that we needed. Overall everything was excellent!!

Comfortable and great location for both relaxing and exploring Devon/Cornwall.

Having stayed at middle barn twice before we noticed a little wear & tear on some of the furniture.

This holiday barn is one of the best It is very comfortable and well looked after.

The bonus is the location with superb views and peace and tranquility.
