Holiday Cottages in Porthallow

Porthallow is a small unspoilt fishing village, which was very busy in its heyday.

The car park is actually on the top half of the beach and so it makes it ideal for families with a lot of paraphernalia. Be warned that the route down into the village is very steep and not for the faint-hearted.

The sea is safe but not ideal for swimming but the beach is rocky which does not make for comfortable sunbathing. There are some superb coastal walks in the area, and on a clear day it is possible to see across to Falmouth Bay, St Mawes and even Fowey.

During the summer months many events take place in the village including regattas, barbecues and fetes.

Porthallow has a fantastic pub "The Five Pilchards" where Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall's idea of a Mackerel bap is put to good use, a beach cafe, post office, tea shop, gallery "Porthallow Arts" and even its own vineyard.
