“We had a wonderful holiday at Trevoole Barn.”

The accommodation was finished to an extremely high standard with great detail on combining contemporary design and old world charm. The owner has gone above and beyond to create a very beautiful and homely environment. The kitchen was very well equipped and bedrooms clean and comfortable. The layout with having the bedrooms downstairs worked particularly well during the heat wave and felt cool and comfortable to sleep at night. Garden area gorgeous to relax in and very private . “Trevoole Barn is a wonderful barn conversion that offers both comfort and space.”

The upstairs features a large open-plan living area with a comfortable lounge, dining space, and a well-equipped kitchen, making it ideal for relaxing and spending time together. Downstairs are two good-sized double bedrooms and a clean, modern bathroom with an excellent shower. Outside, the property boasts a spacious, fully enclosed garden with several seating areas, a charming summer house, and a large lawn. Whether you're dining outdoors, playing games, or simply unwinding in the swing chair, it's a perfect space to enjoy. We have had a fantastic stay and would love to return. The location offers easy access to Camborne for shopping, dining, and local amenities, while still being far enough away to enjoy peace and tranquillity. Several beautiful beaches and stunning coastal walks are just a short drive away, making Trevoole Barn an excellent base for exploring this lovely part of Cornwall.

“We’ve stayed in Sykes cottages several times and usually very good, this one however was the best one we’ve stayed in.”

Very attractive property, well thought out and a very nice garden always essential for us as we take our dog. We prefer a location quite far down in cornwall as we love the walks around there. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, a good kitchen and sitting room area. We found Mari-Lyn easy to contact with one or two little queries. Would definitely like to stay here again

Such a beautiful cottage and wonderful garden. The barn was very well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Some lovely touches included fresh flowers and chocolates on arrival. We would definitely recommend it, but wish we could have it all to ourselves!

“This is a gorgeous, peaceful barn conversion, in a fantastic location for exploring.”

Camborne is also only a 5 minutes drive and has a Tesco and Aldi so groceries are not far away! It is so clean, very comfortable and well equipped with a fab garden and plenty of parking. The scones, jam and clotted cream were also a lovely touch on arrival. We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if visiting this part of Cornwall.

“The Barn was lovely, it had most things we needed, it was warm and smelt and looked clean on arrival, it’s not designed for the tall as i found.”

When stripping the beds at the end of our holiday we found on the single bed no mattress protector and on the double bed the mattress protector had numerous stains. More comfortable patio furniture would be a real bonus. We had to hunt for toilet roll as none were left for us in the bathroom, we found some in a big box in the living room amongst the cleaning products. Also firefighters and matches but no logs for the fire was a first for us in a 4 star property. (Once in the barn we found we were expected to purchase our own wood) The garden was huge which the dogs loved however it wasn’t secure as they could and did easily jump over the low stone walls into the big private field next door. The location was fantastic and all in all we would return with a few things tickled up.

Hi I’m really sorry about the mattress protectors. I will purchase and replace. Apologies also about loo roll. My housekeeper always leaves a roll or two to get you going but must have forgot. We don’t normally supply wood in the summer as even in the winter you have to open the front door as it gets too hot. I’ll ensure there’s some provided in future. We are looking into new fencing next season as previously there wasn’t a dog next door and previously dogs haven’t tried to visit the neighbouring property. Comfortable, very clean, lovely garden and extremely private. The dogs loved the crashing waves on Portreath beach. Lots of other idillic beaches btw. My wife struggled with locking the door (very stiff) and opening/closing the gate but neither spoilt our stay. An ideal base for touring and exploring Cornwall. 10/10

“Having rented several cottages( barn conversions), Trevoole Barn is probably one of the best.”

It mixed rustic charm with modern amenities. It was well maintained, very well equipped, the outside space was excellent. It was very peaceful but only 10 minutes from supermarkets and restaurants. In addition the beaches of Hayle / St Ives no more than 20 minutes. An excellent stay and we would fully recommend.

“Barn was very pleasant with everything you could need provided.”

It was clean and comfortable. Although it says the garden is enclosed beware if you have a dog as there is a gap beside the shed where they can get into the next door garden as mine did. The wall along the back is extremely low and my dog was over it quite easily so couldn’t be left outside on their own. Just a couple of observations that would make coming and going so much easier. Front door is really, really hard to open and close and the gate needs fixing as it sits on the floor. and you can’t open it without physically lifting it off the ground.

Hi thank you for your feedback. We looked for gap behind shed but couldn’t find where he’d escaped. Unfortunately the wall is a bit low but wouldn’t look in keeping if we put a fence there. our dog and most well behaved ones should be fine. We’ve looked at the front door thanks for mentioning this and hopefully rectified the problem. Re the large gate the road outside isn’t even so yes the gate does need lifting for part of the way Property Owner

The main living space upstairs is very comfortable and well designed. The kitchen is well stocked in terms of equipment and the living room area is a large and relaxing space. The main bedroom had a comfy bed and very nice bedding and pillows. There is a large enclosed garden and a nice patio and seating area outside. Would love to stay again.

“The barn was perfect and had everything in it you could need.”

The garden was great for our dog, the only thing I would recommend is like a sensor light to covering the garden as it was really dark, although torches we provided think this would be a much better option. The barn is situated in a quiet location but really central to get to most areas easily. We would definitely recommend and will go back.

“Perfect location for our family holiday.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

The property was very comfortable and had all mod cons. WiFi was excellent. Might be good to note that although garden is enclosed, it is not secure and with the neighboring property keeping a small herd of sheep, this proved problematic for us with our young puppy who was very inquisitive and would like to pop over the wall to visit. It may also be of note that there is no path on the road directly by the property so a walk to the local shops/pub is virtually impossible. That said it was located in a great position to explore surrounding towns. Just to add we came back one afternoon to no power, contacted Sykes and problem was resolved within the hour, great service.

The property

Trevoole Barn occupies a peaceful rural setting.

The 3 miles of golden beach at Hayle Towans is just a 10 minute drive and the picturesque fishing village of St Ives and renowned St Michael's Mount at Marazion are both conveniently located within a 15 mile radius.

Trevoole Barn is on the outskirts of the village of Praze-an-Beeble, a 15 minute walk away over daffodil fields, with a couple of village pubs, post office/store and popular pasty shop within a mile radius.

The property has all the appeal of a tranquil rural location and yet is also within easy reach of both the north and south Cornish coast.

Featuring reverse level accommodation, the interior has rustic charm with a high apex ceiling with timber beams and trusses, thick cream painted walls, deep set windows and polished wood floors.

The spacious open-plan living room is comfortable and welcoming with plump settees arranged around the warming glow of a wood burner and a large flat screen TV.

This open plan living also incorporates the kitchen and dining area fitted with Cornish sage green units and quartz worktops.

Stairs lead down to two attractively furnished bedrooms and a sparkling white bathroom.

To the front of the barn is a barbecue area.

Trevoole Barn makes a superb choice for a special holiday or a romantic getaway at any time of year.

PRAZE-AN-BEEBLE

Camborne 3 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Hayle 6 miles

Tucked away in the countryside between Camborne and Helston, the friendly little village of Praze an Beeble has a real sense of community. With a traditional Cornish pub, a Post Office, village shop, bakery, fish & chip shop and a garage, Praze (as it is known locally) has everything you could need. The village green is the hub of the community, and many events take place here each year. Just outside the village, the Clowance Estate country club with holiday lodges offers a 9-hole golf course, other leisure activities and pleasant lakeside and woodland walks – and the sandy beaches of Portreath, Gwithian and Hayle are just a short drive away. Easily accessible from Praze an Beeble is the old market town of Helston with its boating lake and annual Flora Day – and from Helston, the much-loved harbour town of Porthleven is just a 5-minute drive.
