We arrived to find that the bath would not drain water Useless for 3 young children, 2 of which are infants.

Sykes help was non existent until Sunday when the maintenance staff could not resolve the plumbing issue Finally got to us Tuesday to high pressure jet wash retrieving blocks of solids. Could not use the bath until Wednesday leaving us only 2 days of bathroom function Dreadful service and I request 3 days refund to redress a very spoilt holiday. Though we had a lovely stay, the description and photos indicate a premium experience and all the facilities and service were available.

But, I believe the property needs a little refreshing to really follow through on expectation given the cost. Intermittent issues with the loo flush, a window we couldn't close in the utility room, cracked tiles, squeaky floors, doors that require a firm pull/push to close, flickering lamps are little things, but slightly impact on the overall experience. We stayed in the same property maybe five years ago and I do not recall these issues then. Regardless, we had a great break and the property look and proximity to the wonders of St Agnes were appreciated. I would consider staying again, but I wouldn't be beating down the door.

No internet all week dishwasher not working for few days but someone came to fix on the 4 day very dirty outside areas upstairs balcony and outside hot tub , hot tub dirty with orange marks round inside tub broken lid , beds very uncomfortable and pillows in very need off some TLC shame really as location to beach pub walks on your doorstep

Great property in a lovely part of St Agnes.

Just a few issues regarding blinds not working and damaged. Maybe a few fans during summer months. We had a toddler with us and they did provide one stair gate but another at the top of the stairs would be helpful. The sofas were tired and the wooden floor too. But it’s other than that we all had a lovely holiday.

Very cosy and the hot tub is great. Our 3rd visit and we will be booking again.

Lovely house in stunning location.

Our feedback regarding general condition is that it’s in need of some TLC. Sofas quite worn and rug was looking grubby. All bedside lamps were ripped in places and cobwebs not removed by housekeeping. Outdoor balcony (bedroom) furniture was rusty and unstable and dirty toothbrush holders/soap dispensers in bathroom drawer (en suite). The house was however very well equipped Beds were very comfy and hot tub an added bonus. A lovely peaceful setting walking distance to beach and Drifty/taphouse/town. As we said, house is great for a large family gathering but housekeeping let it down (we had to wipe down Tv/units as really dusty. Lovely touch that children’s toys/books were provided plus a welcoming Cornish tea!

We had a wonderful family week at 9 Cedars.

There are a collection of 10 holiday homes together, on a steep hill up from St Agnes beach (5 min walk) No 9 felt quite private and as we went there off season the whole place was quiet anyway. We found the location great for walking down to the beach and we loved the Schooners bar overlooking the ocean for our morning coffee and watching the surfers, including our teens having lessons. Schooners do great pizzas too and they are dog friendly : ) The house itself was great with its open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking etc. Easy access to the wonderful hot tub too. Plenty of space upstairs aswell, with an ensuite and bathroom and 4 bedrooms. Lovely views out from the lounge and front bedrooms. The house was still warming up when we arrived, but by the next day, and the rest of the week, it was very toasty. We also used the log woodburner a couple of nights too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a very memorable trip celebrating our sons 18th Birthday.

A beautiful property close to everything and a very relaxing home from home.

We adored the house which was beautifully and very thoughtfully appointed and we would just love to return.

Our downside was that the fridge freezer started running hot and smelling so we had to turn it off. Sykes 24/7 emergency line was very poor , initially answering on Sat evening when we called, but then not communicating actions with us at all throughout Sunday , necessitating us needing to chase up, needing to improvise inadequate food storage by use of the wine fridge ( permission given by Sykes at initial call). Needing to do unplanned eating out due to unsafe and very limited cold food storage. Replacement fridge arrived on ? Tuesday and original fridge freezer was repaired on Wednesday and found to have a blocked fan ( maintenance issue). 5 out of 7 days without fridge freezer. We respectfully request some reimbursement please. Thank you .

Our second time here.

We love the location and the warmth and light in the house. Comfortable beds, good showers and a peaceful setting.

The property was as described.

Set in a beautiful location and the property was well equipped. The only downside was the lack of hand wash in all the bathrooms and kitchen, and a spare toilet roll in each bathroom. I would expect this as standard in a property at this level. Apart from that, excellent!

Having read a couple of fairly negative reviews we were a little oncerned prior to arrival whether the accommodation would match the photos.

We were however very pleased with the accommodation. It is very well appointed and spacious. The hot tub is lovely and works perfectly. There are a couple of tiny niggles (a broken tile in the bathroom, rather hard beds and the inability to use the outdoor shower due to work taking place on the two adjacent properties. The accommodation itself was clean and the woodburner was lovely - not that we really needed it as the property is very warm. There are lots of walks from the property and some great pubs. We throughly recoimmend this property. It is lovely. If the beds were more confortable it would secure a solid 10/10

We had an amazing time, we love St Agnes.

The house is awesome, real dream property. But it is in need of maintenance. It wouldn’t put me off staying again and it doesn’t really impact your stay, but it could benefit from doing. Perfect location, few minutes to the beach and pubs. The hills are pretty steep which could be a problem for some.

The hot tub was a big hit with us all too. St Agnes holds special memories for us & now we've found this little gem of a house, I'm sure we'll be back to stay, thank you

The property, whilst nice and probably was once a luxury stay, is now tired.

On arrival there was no toilet roll in any of the toilets. No hand soap either. The coffee machine was still full of discarded coffee pods and the frother had old smelly dried up milk in it. This was massively disappointing considering the property is marketed as top end. These are basics…The beds were moderately comfortable but the children’s bunk bed mattresses seemed to be the cheapest single spring mattresses which were very uncomfortable. The small double was up against the wall which was marked from peoples hands. Yuck. And the duvet was just not the right size.. The kitchen whilst functional was very well appointed but the breakfast bar panel is falling apart. The hot tub was ok but some features no longer work like the waterfall part. Generally an ok stay but unlikely to return.

Our stay was perfect.

The lodge had absolutely everything we could have needed. Lovely touches like books and toys for the kids. Scones and clotted cream was a bonus. Although it was a shame the scones were from Morrisons and not the local bakery

The only downside we could find was with the accuracy of the listing.

The bedrooms were listed as a superking, king, twin and bunks. They are actually a king/ double, small double, small twins and bunks.

A lovely house in a great location.

The beach, pub and village shops only a short walk away. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It suited our family unit perfectly. We did have a small issues which needed a plumber but that was sorted out before we left.

What a great holiday home!

Everything you could need for either a dry or wet stay. Fantastic location close to the beach or the coastal paths. We would definitely look at staying again.

The house was lovely.

But what let it down was the cleanliness of the house. It was the last day for the cleaning contract. As another company was taking over the week after. So because it was last week. I don’t think they bothered to do anything. So we had to give it a good hoover. Mop floors. Hoover all in between seats on sofas. Polish. You name it. We had it do it. Also could of done with maintenance to replace a lot of the spot lights. Bath and sink in bathroom was blocked. We got so much black hair out. It was disgusting. We had no welcome pack to make a drink. When we had drove for 6 hours. Blood on bedsheets. Massive sweat patches on mattresses. No hand soap in toilets. And so much more. We have been away with this company the last three years. And have never had these issues before.

A wonderful modern property nestled in amongst the trees.

Super comfy mattresses, beautiful views and a fabulous hot tub. Dog friendly beaches, costal walks on the doorstep and a yummy bakery in the village. A perfect holiday! Just a private note to the property owners. We had an amazing stay but just wanted to let you know that quite a few of the games are broken/missing parts and we weren’t sure if we were allowed to use the log burner as it wasn’t in the welcome pack (some places charge) didn’t affect our stay at all, we had a wonderful time but just wanted to make you aware x
