“We stayed last year and we were 100% satisfised with our stay this year we felt that little things let it down.”
Double bed matress was uneven in places and needs replacing it got to the point I could feel myself rolling. In the sink area the worktop is starting to break away where the sink sits. Some of the glasses are stained they need to be replaced.
Overall we love the place the staff are friendly and the setting is lovely and definatelty will be come backing again just those little touches to improve the overall stay.
Many thanks for your feedback. As owners we have just spent a week in our lodge and didn't experience the issues described with the mattress in the master bedroom. It was brand new in 2019 from John Lewis and we chose a medium tension pocket sprung
mattress, as we thought that would be the best tension to suit as many guests as possible. However, following on from your feedback, we have now added a mattress topper from Silentnight's Luxury Hotel Collection, so we hope that all our future guests will enjoy a restful sleep. We also put brand new mattresses in the twin room in September 2020.
Since your visit we have also made a number of improvements to the lodge: a new, much larger TV, providing guests with the ability to view their own Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts; new microwave; bathrooms redecorated; new lamps in the living room and master bedroom, as well as a coat rack in the entrance hall. Although we have always thought the round sinks in the
kitchen are a nice feature, the design is sadly flawed as it results in too much water splashing onto the worktop and causing damage to the wood. We have logged a request with local management to replace the sinks with a single rectangular unit and repair the worktop and this will be completed when there is a sufficiently long gap in between bookings to enable the
work to take place. Owner relations
