St. Albans

A last minute solution to our last minute want for a few extra days in beautiful Cornwall after our main break and the amazing 2026 Summer weather !

The team at Sykes found us this perfect location in Boscastle with access to walks, pubs and stunning views. Extra comfy and well equipped rear garden access to the coastline. The log book with old photos of Boscastle was a family discussion topic! We were only around for two nights, three days but loved every minute we were there. It topped off an amazing holiday beautifully. (Not for the review- just could do with a bit of an update - and the smaller bedroom does get quote noisy in the pipes department which did shock our light sleeping teenager in the morning - might be worth a note. It did not detract from our stay one bit but it others might find it an issue I suspect)

The bungalow was lovely and had all the amenities we needed.

It was so lovely to be able to walk to the headland and walk into Boscastle along the coast road.

St Albans was a fab place for the two of us.

Had a real homely feel. Bed comfy, plenty of hot water and kitchen had good appliances. Location was perfect as we love walking... you can get to the coastal path and Boscastle by foot. Lovely to sit in the garden or conservatory. We were only there three days but would have loved to stay longer.

Lovely bungalow with lots of walks locally for our dog.

Everything we could possibly want was there (Inc dog bowls/ blanket). The garden was fully dog proof as well which definitely was an advantage! All the local pubs (3) were dog friendly too.

I have arthritis and found it so easy to get about, very quiet perfect for rest and recuperation.The weather was poor at the beginning of our holiday so having option of central heating was most welcome.We revisited all the places we loved - Crackington Haven is well worth a visit. Perfect for thise cliff top walks. The private path to Forrabury Church & Stitches is brilliant - perfect for dog walks.

had a problem with the sky tv when arriving steve csme and sorted it out within the hr very impressed. the bungalow is in a lovely quiet cul de sac so peace and wuiet was axhieved, we woild definetly book this again

Wonderfully appointed bungalow.

Comfortable, clean excellent facilities. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Lovely enclosed garden ,if you're taking your dog ,with a private access to the coastal paths. Handy base for trips to Tintagel, Bude or down the hill into Boscastle itself. Property is situated in a nice quiet residential area with off road parking. Can't fault it really but being honest it's probably best if you have your own transport, as most people do nowadays, although buses are available. Highly recommended and thanks to the owners. We had a great time despite the weather, lol.

St Albans offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in Boscastle.

Little things like washing powder, condiments, kitchen roll etc were provided, along with a welcome pack of local cider and biscuits, which was a nice touch. I left my daughters capybara plush behind, and the person(s) were in touch straight away offering to post it back to us, luckily our friends were still in Boscastle, so it was dropped to their house. Lovely walks available, straight out the back garden and past the church. Would highly recommend this place, and couldn't fault anything. Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay it was everything we needed and more.

It was comfortable, clean and quiet. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Garden safe for my small dog. All you can ask for. Lovely walks down to Boscastle through the back gate. Would definitely recommend to you all

We really liked St Alban, probably the best self catering that we've ever visited.

It was spacious, well equipped and in a beautiful and quiet area.

Lovely location, comfort & cleanliness - we really enjoyed our stay.

A neighbour’s dog barked quite a lot, but I’m not sure there’s much you can do about that one. Fortunately it wasn’t overnight. We stayed at Easter & the heating was locked to ‘off’ - this was mostly fine, but there were a couple of mornings when we could have done with being able to turn on to take the chill off the air. We loved the conservatory & that we could walk to the headland from the garden!

This is great property.

The conservatory is a great bonus if you get wet days as light and bright space to spend time until the rain stops. This property is great if you love to walk the cornish coastline without haveing to drive the car and park. We loved the space and garden this property offers so much we have re booked for next year.

I feel bed pillows could do with replacement and mattress.

The neighbour apologised for her dog barking which went on all day . A bit intrusive. Everything else was good

The only thing I would have liked,would be a power shower,apart from that,we had a great time

Really nice property and great position with your own footpath to access the dog walks.

We had a lovely stay, and enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory.

Nice walks nearby too, and was very cosy and comfortable for a winter break.

The house was lovely, clean, tidy, well stocked and comfortable all in all a lovely central place to stay would definatley recommend

Fantastic cottage in a lovely quiet part of boscastle had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay really enjoyed our stay and was nice and cosy to return to after visiting sites around Cornwall

Lovely house in a great position with everything you could need for your stay.

The garden furniture was excellent and a bonus which wasn't listed was the BBQ complete with charcoal. The rear gate which gave access to the coastal path was used everyday and was very handy. No negatives we can think of and all the equipment in all the rooms were in excellent condition, would highly recommend this property and the welcome pack including the local cider was very much appreciated.

Lovely place quite comfortably apart from the double bed which l found hard, garden was really lovely dog loved it, wasn’t keen about the owners walking though the back gate now and again.

We felt very comfortable and at home in the bungalow.

We really appreciated having everything we could need, I lovely welcome letter and lovely local items to try. Close to the harbour and shops, you also have access to the church and head with its fantastic walks and views. It is the ideal place to stay with a lovely garden and so close to nearby coves and beached. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable! We would definitely stay again in future.

Lovely, comfortable and clean bungalow, situated in an ideal location, close to a local Premier shop, pub and public transport.

Boscastle village is a 20 minute walk down a steep bank, so it certainly keeps you fit on the way back up. The village has some lovely shops and places to eat; the food at the Cobweb Inn was really nice and they serve generous portions. A visit to the Witches Museum was interesting, but a bit scary if you're easily spooked like me.
