Ramblers Rest

The owner was lovely.

My partner was ill and rushed to hospital. The owner was very kind to me. On arrival we had fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits and our dog had some treats too. The owner also left dog feeding and water bowls and a dog towel. Would recommend to anyone. Lovely accommodation and lovely owner.

My partner and I had a wonderful time.

It was great having parking directly outside and with the gate closed it was perfect for our little dachshund to wonder around. The property was very clean and very comfortable, it was also really easy to find as well as being close to amazing coastal walks. The local pub/restaurant really is only 5 mins walk away and the village just 10 mins by car with free parking, cafe's, restaurants, bars and takeaways. Would love to return, was a shame to leave. Many thanks to our wonderful host's.

Home from Home? Absolutely brilliant scenery two minutes away just a short walk to lovely coastal walks. A fantastic local pub. Sales great food Simon and Nicola that own. The property can’t do enough for you. Absolutely brilliant. Recommend it to any serious. Rambler out there and the dogs loved it too and only half hour away from Saint Michaels Mount and penzance and go the other way half an hour to Saint Ives absolutely brilliant location for all this.once again thank you very much

Really nice property, clean and fully equipped.

Owners happy to help, though there wasn't anything to complain about. Good for dog security and a good location, short walk from the Queens Arms, which was welcoming and has a good menu. Food was excellent.

The hosts could not have been more welcoming,the cottage was clean and perfectly set up for a couple and their dog ,Rosie loved it there and I don’t think she wanted to come home

Cottage was beautiful, such a lovely place to stay.

Warm and comfortable with everything we needed.Wasn't sure about being next to the road but in fact we loved it and it felt very private but with fantastic walks on the doorstep, horses going by, great views and little traffic. The Tin Coast here is spectacular. Thank you

Clean and mostly as described.

. 1 set of sheets and 1 set of towels are not enough for 5 nights and definitely not enough when you are not allowed to use the towel rack to dry them because the heating is off and you are being lied to that the heating is on a timer for 4 hours a day! I should be able to use the heating and everything else whenever I please and not ask for permission or having to wait for a set time to dry towels! Tv in the bedroom would have been nice and the charge to use the washer and dryer seemed a bit much! The fact that it is located so close to a main road is bothersome as it can get quite noisy! Check in so late and check out so early also not good. Would recommend something bigger if travelling with pets!

Ramblers is a great compact cottage that's ideal for a couple (plus dog) It's bright, well equipped and comfortable.

It's location is brilliant with no more than a 15 min stroll to reach the coastal footpath and see the numerous pump houses of the old tin mines. Buses run right past the cottage and the open top lands end coaster is a fantastic way to see the area from St Ives to Penzance. St Just is an easy walk away, as is the great pub at Botallack. We parked the car when we arrived and the next time we used it was to drive home a week later--so much to do.

A wonderful stay at Ramblers rest.

Superb location with buses to Penzance / St. Ives etc leaving just yards away from the property. There are so many beautiful walks to be enjoyed and explored with the South West coastal path 5 minutes away. The property itself was homely, well-equipped and the owners (Nicola and Simon) made our stay that little bit more special. I could not recommend our stay more highly, and will most certainly be back, either to renew our experiences at Ramblers rest, or by bringing our camper van to stay on the beautiful and well-appointed campsite next door, which is also owned by the property owners.

We enjoyed a lovely week in this very comfortable cottage.

It may be small but it had everything we needed. There was also a bus stop right outside the cottage and a decent pub 5 minutes walk away. Our only problem was finding places to charge our electric car. There was nothing locally and many of the chargers in places like Penzance or St Ives did not have tethered cables. So be warned, if you have an electric car, bring your own cables! Thanks to the property owners we did find a charger just outside Penzance.

Lovely cottage was just right for me and my wife, really comfortable and clean the owners really nice and made you feel really welcome would stay there again.

An absolute delight, great position to explore the area.

Well equipped, very comfortable and extremely well maintained. Secure garden and vehicle parking, making it ideal for the dog to enjoy her stay. The finishing touches in the property put in for the Christmas celebrations were the icing on the cake. We will have no hesitation to book again, highly recommended 5 stars. Great cottage to chill out, and also access to coast path, close to other beaches by car and bus to Penzance (bus to St Ives cancelled through winter season unexpectedly).

More provided than anticipated - cleaning materials, loo rolls, washing up liquid etc. Great shower - perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ramblers rest everything was perfect only had to use the car once as there is excellent local transport right outside the cottage and the owners are really welcoming Thankyou for a lovely stay

comfy. Very secure back yard for the dogs. Nice owners very informative. Lovely coastal walks very friendly local pub the queens arms.

Clean, tidy, easy to find.

The cottage was very good.

Only one improvement really and that is maybe it could have a clothes washing machine but this is a small comment. A rather funnier comment is when you put the bathroom light on the fan comes on and stays on for about 30mins after it’s switched off. This is ok during day but causes some discussion at 2 in the morning

Perfect for a get away.

I was very happy with my stay at Ramblers rest. I was comfortable and situated so close to some great walks and the local pub. Can't find fault with my holiday. Will be back at some time in the near future

Excellent location to explore that part of Cornwall, with bus stop practically on the doorstep and great bus service we never used our car once during the week.

The owners were very helpful but not all intrusive.

Nichola & Simon made us very welcome and dealt with any of our enquiries.
