Ros Vale

Very spacious, clean and comfortable.

The sun room was great as a general living area, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Clean and comfortable beds, and large bathrooms. The house is set in a spectacular part of Cornwall with several nearby beaches, and a woodland footpath to tbe coast opposite the driveway entrance. The only negative for us was trying to keep our dog away from the giant hogweed in the garden. Be sure to read the folder of notes when you arrive, as there are instructions for appliances, rubbish collection, etc. Really enjoyed our time here.

We had the best time during our week stay in August. Perfect from start to finish. The house is stunning, and we particularly liked the welcome basket upon arrival. It was in a good location for us to be able to drive to other areas of Cornwall to explore (as this was our first visit). We will definitely be back and would love to stay at Ros Vale again.

We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it to others. There were 8 adults in our group and we had plenty of room and were very comfortable. The house is very well equipped and of a high quality throughout. We would love to return one day!!

The property was lovely, very spacious and well equipped, the garden was beautiful, not dog proof though especially if you have an escape artist or curious dog, we came equipped with the garden lead extension.

The house was spotless on arrival. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen had everything you could need and more. Owners gave us a welcome a call and were able to sort the heating out for us. Would highly recommend a stay at Ros Vale.

The house is even better than the photos depict.

A beautiful property with everything a large group could possibly need. There was even a turkey roasting pan and extra large foil left for us as we stayed over Christmas. Not needed but the thought was appreciated. The weather was extremely cold during our stay with the house thermostat set and it appeared not to be adjustable by us but the log burners made everything snug. The owner phoned the first evening to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. The personal touch was nice. The location is perfect for the South West coast path which was our mission but there are masses of other walks in the area too. Ros Vale is superb!

A beautiful home in a stunning setting.

An ideal location for visiting the local area. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and useful laundry. Nothing negative to say. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We had everything we could possibly need, along with a beautiful garden and perfect setting. My family and I really had a terrific holiday with lots to do nearby and super meals on the patio n in the evenings. Thank you so much.

Great location for exploring the area and walks right on the doorstep. Extremely well equipped house. Only thing we found it was missing was an indoor broom ( there is a broom in the house but it was more of an external one) Great communication with both the managing agents and the owners Would definitely return

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Ros Vale, and it was as glorious as the first time!

The property is nestled into a hill, surrounded by fields and trees. It’s such a peaceful home to be in. Inside the house, every room is equipped with what you need, and beautiful homely touches. It’s spacious and comfortable - we honestly can’t think of anything that’s lacking. It is a truly wonderful place to be.

This is a beautiful property that felt luxurious and homely.

We are four friends who meet annually for a week's painting and drawing so we all had our own bathrooms and plenty of room at Ros Vale. It was spotless and spacious. The large utility/dog area meant we could leave art bags and equipment downstairs without cluttering living spaces. The glorious weather was the icing on the cake for us but Ros Vale is in a lovely sheltered valley, so had it been inclement we would have enjoyed it anyway.

Ros Vale is a fantastic accommodation with a wide range of facilities and a well equipped kitchen.

The space in the house was essential for our group of 12. We will definitely consider visiting again.

The house was amazing and we all had a great night's sleep as the beds were so comfortable.

Beautiful garden and often seen rabbits out the kitchen window and an owl that flew through the garden around 9.00 most nights. Highly recommend a stay here.

We were blown away by the cottage.

We were on a familymoon with 3 of our 5 children and all so excited when we arrived. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. Everything was immaculately clean so thank you to the service team for that. The bedrooms and Bathrooms were wonderful and the beds very comfy. We cooked cakes and jam Tarts for my daughter’s birthday and the kitchen was very well equipped. A gorgeous hamper was left for our arrival with essentials and wine in as well!! We loved every moment at the cottage and on our first evening we received a phone call from the owner who checked that everything was ok. We would highly recommend the accommodation. Not only was the cottage lovely so we’re the surroundings and garden. We walked down to the cove which was accessed across the road and swam in the crystal clear sea after clambering over many rocks!! We would love to return to Ros Vale the next time we have a family get together Brilliant stay Thank you so much

We spent an incredible week in this gorgeous home.

It strikes the perfect balance between being utterly beautiful inside but also extremely comfortable and functional. The location is wonderful - surrounded by nature, total peace, but easy to get to nearby villages and towns. We’re already plotting our return! A truly wonderful place.

Only suggestion would be second fridge. Maybe couple of sun loungers … but that’s it!

We had a wonderful stay in a most wonderful cottage.

Our weather was mixed but that didn't stop us enjoying this beautiful county. Sennen Cove was the favourite beach of the family and an evening spent at The Minack was magical. (Lands End we did not like, totally spoilt). We took DVD's to enjoy a family film night but couldn't find the dvd player!! So instead we had a karaoke night, which was great fun. So pleased that we stayed at Ros Vale, it was loved by all ❤️

It is a lovely place to stay for a holiday.

It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. You couldn’t want anything more, real home from home. Thank you for a wonderful week, we will be back for another holiday.

Ros Vale was just wonderful!

Such a beautiful comfortable home with plenty of space for our family get together. The standard of the accommodation was excellent. The cottage has been modernised and the layout makes it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We loved the garden too! It’s well located for the stunning beach at porthcurno and the Minack theatre and other places like Mousehole, Sennen Cove, Penzance and St Ives. Would 100% recommend the cottage and would love to return there again. Thank you very much! ☺️

Beautiful property that more than met the needs of three generations.

A lovely, lovely property ideally situated for many local attractions.

Everything was well thought of in the house and the whole party of guests were very impressed! The garden is great to sit and listen to nature's radio! Perhaps a hook be available to hang a flannel/scrub in the showers? Overall an enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Had a brilliant time and the property, grounds and area where absolutely brilliant and we will definitely be returning, the only issues we had was that the previous tenants hadn’t put the correct items in the bins outside so they hadn’t been collected properly and we had to sort them otherwise we wouldn’t have anywhere to put our rubbish and the washing machine was broken and after we phoned up on our day of arrival nobody got back to us or came to fix the problem so we didn’t have anywhere to clean our clothes and towels.

All in all though it was fantastic and we will definitely be returning.

This house is incredibly spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

The decoration and furnishing is tasteful and interesting. We especially liked the conservatory room for the day time as the sitting room is a bit dark, though great for evenings. And we enjoyed the garden - woodpeckers, newts in the stream - and the lovely wooded walk down to the sea at St Loy.

Our second holiday in this beautiful property.

Nine of us had a brilliant Christmas at Ros Vale. We even cooked a goose on Christmas Day/ birthday lunch for one of us! There was everything we needed there and was so comfortable. We thoroughly recommend both the house and the wonderful surrounding area.

Ros Vale is a Beautiful home in a lovely peaceful setting.

Equipped to a very high standard with absolutely everything you need for self catering. Perfect for large groups and Dogs too, close to some beautiful unspoilt beaches. Thank you for a perfect holiday we all absolutely loved it and didn't want it to end.

Lovely house, well furnished and very comfortable, ideal location for walking the coastal path, great to come home and relax in.

Extremely enjoyable stay at Ros Vale (July ‘22).

A genuinely high end property and extremely well kitted out internally - on all fronts. Friendly and helpful interactions with owner (simply to check everything was OK) and it all set up for a good week. Location wise, the property is a perfect gateway to so many beautiful towns / villages / coves etc. The fact that it is fairly rural simply added to the much needed peace and quiet of our trip. Highly recommended - and my other half is mega fussy!

Wonderful accommodation, brilliant holiday!

I spent a week at Ros Vale to celebrate a special birthday with my family (including grandchildren).

On arrival we thought the house was even better than the photos. There was plenty of room for our party of 13 in the lovely conservatory and kitchen/dining area and the grandchildren loved the big TV in the living room and the stream in the garden. We were very lucky with the weather and opened the bi-fold doors when we got back in the late afternoons/early evenings. We were disappointed not to have patio chairs (the patio was a sun trap and we wanted to sit/eat outside) but these were kindly provided upon request. Loved the location and recommend walking through the pretty woods to the rocky cove at St Loy - too early for bluebells but lots of daffodils. We had a fantastic week although we would have preferred an earlier checkin and later departure (we really struggled to get out by 9am).

So wonderful in every way.

I have no its about anything I do have a suggestion which is that since families are likely to go and there is a downstairs bedroom with ensuite making it perfect for older people except it would be even more perfect if they were a bar in the shower for less able people to hold onto.

We had a wonderful time at Ros Vale with my parents, my partners parents, his brother and our 1 year old!

We couldn’t find a single fault with the place, everything had been so well designed and thought out, the house had everything we needed and was fresh and clean. My parents family live locally and it was lovely to be able to entertain in the lovely kitchen / lounge/ diner.

Great location , very quiet private , enjoyed being outside appreciating the garden ,good local walks

Ros Vale has everything you need in a holiday home, everything has been finished to the very high standard, the kitchen had more than enough plates glasses pans etc than cooking for 10 was easy.

The utility room is huge with enough hanging space for all coats and beach stuff! The laundry room was perfect for us. The room off the kitchen with the bifold doors was lovely, on a nice evening we opened the doors and had tea on the outside dining table! Every bathroom was fitted and finished to such a high standard. It’s only 15mins to Porthcurno beach and 25mins to Penzance so everywhere is easily accessible. We did the walk through the woods to St Loys cove, it was a bit of a steep walk in some parts and the cove itself is huge boulders so don’t expect a Sandy beach at the bottom but still a nice walk through with the kids and dog! All in all an excellent house and we had a lovely week despite it not being the best weather!

Excellent facilities. A suggestion would be a fire guard for the fireplace with young children and pets in mind.

Great family accommodation, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

Lovely walk through woods to a shingle beach/ coastal footpath where we spent an afternoon picking blackberries before making crumble from the apple windfalls in the garden and blackberries!

The house itself was beautiful but sadly the dust and dirt let it down.

We did not expect to have to clean the house before we could relax and enjoy this!

The house has been updated wonderfully .

It has been done with comfort and enjoyment in mind. There were a few minute problems that the owner is now aware of and will be sorted straight away. We would love to return .

I booked this for a family get together holiday and was delighted with this wonderful home - Absolutely beautiful in every way!

The house was fitted out to a very high standard and equipped with EVERYTHING that you could possible need! The rooms are spacious and the decor is Fab! The beds are all super comfy and it was great to have the 4 bathrooms. The setting is peaceful and there are walks from the door across fields and through woodland to the sea. Penzance is 20 mins and St Ives 30 mins - nearby (10 mins) is the stunning beach of Porthcurno and a couple of us walked (2 hours) to gorgeous Nanzijal Cove. We were a family of 10 + 2 dogs and all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ros Vale. Thank You so much :-)

Wow!

! What a fabulous place!! We were a group of 12, 6 kids and 6 adults and the space was perfect. My only small gripe is I think the cleaning could be slightly improved, there was quite a bit of dust about. However this didn't ruin out stay. The house had everything we needed, the beds were super comfy and bathrooms really nice. We had such a fabulous week we have 're booked for May 2020

Ros Vale House was even nicer than the pictures on the website.

Cottage and surroundings are beautiful.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Ros Vale. Seating inside and out were more than enough to accommodate all 9 of us with ease and the local cat was a star. My main point for improvement would be that, for the money, the cleanliness of the cottage could be a lot better (showers, sinks and corners mainly). There was also a lack of basic supplies (kitchen towels, cheese grater). If these issues were sorted, we'd definitely stay again.

We would have scored this holiday top marks except for the fact the garden is not secure and one of our dogs got a out the road and narrowly missed being knocked down by a car!

Very frightening experience all round and had to tether dogs up for the rest of the holiday, not ideal but at least we knew they were safe. That was the negative, the actual house was more than we wished for, very high tech and to an amazing high standard. We loved the kitchen, bedrooms and wonderful bathrooms and the whole of downstairs. We had some wonderful meals at the large dining table and fit 11 of us round more that comfortably. We adored the the bi-fold doors and the way you could open up the house into the garden. Lovely walks through the woods to the coastal paths, a fabulous spot. If the garden issue could be sorted I would definitely go back with our dogs, but would have to be secure for us to do this. Anyone without dogs or small children you would adore this house and could thoroughly recommend. Think every now and then you need an intense clean as the stairs was very dusty, just being a bit picky now but does make a difference. We took our own hoover and used this but could not do the stairs as you needed tools. All in all a fabulous stay and would recommend and would be just perfect with a secure garden.

For visitors from overseas - like us - some more explicit instructions about how things work might have been useful.

For example, the weather was chillier than usual for the first few days of our stay, and we never figured out how the heating system was controlled! Our comment id not intended to detract from what was a very pleasurable stay in a splendidly modernized property. And the neighborhood cat that visited the garden very regularly was a sweetheart!

Stairs floor and corners dusty but everything else we could not fault perfect for large families

We had a few teething problems whilst at the property but the owners have been very responsive and helpful.

The property is in a lovely location near the coast and is very comfortable and well equipped. The open plan aspect to the front gives it a light and airy feel and the sitting room is ideal for cosy evenings around the log fire. There are plenty of walks from right outside the front door and you are very close to some attractive valleys, harbours and beaches which have inspired communities of artists for many years.

It is a shame that you pay so much more for Christmas week and yet there are no Christmas decorations in the property.

Went locally to buy but had sold. I think there should have at least been a Christmas tree.
