“We had the most wonderful stay at Kernyk and honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, full of character and charm, and the setting is just perfect for a relaxing Cornish getaway. Everything was so thoughtfully done and we immediately felt at home. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we could have needed. The outdoor space is lovely and we loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. “This property is so well equiped that it is unbelievable.”

The Kitchen especially had everything needed for a stay. The owner Steve was very obliging and helpful. The only slight negative is due to the design of the cottage. As the walls are solid stone some 2 foot thick there is no ventilation to certain parts. This can then, in rainy weather (which we had plenty of) lead to a damp smell. This was a very minor down to go with the many ups we experienced.

“An absolutely charming cottage.”

Very well equipped and ideally located for exploring the Cornish Coatline. Significantly bigger than the pictures suggested. 5 Stars from us and we will be booking again later in the year . It's actually the entire cottage , with a beautiful private walled garden with hillside views, with off road secure parking within the grounds.

REDRUTH

Falmouth 10.5 miles; St Ives 16 miles.

Redruth is a small town in Cornwall, dating in parts from the 12th century. It was once the centre of Cornish mining history and is now at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a selection of shops, pubs and eateries, and the town holds a variety of continental markets throughout the year. Attractions close to Redruth include the Carn Brea Trail, The Great Flat Lode, which is fantastic for cyclist and dog walkers alike, Tolgus Tin Stream Works, and the Tehidy Country Park. The beach at Portreath is a 10 minute drive, or 2.5 miles from Redruth. The entire stunning North coast is a superb playground for surfing and all watersports, with resorts such as St Ives, Falmouth, the Roseland Peninsula and the whole Lizard Peninsula within easy reach. A superb destination for your Cornish holiday.
