Excellent well-equipped and well-located cottage.

Very comfortable and cosy. Great shower, super facilities. Owners have met all needs inc hand soap etc. Heat wasn’t a problem… just opened the windows and doors! A very comfortable stay indeed. Would def recommend. FAO the owners: visitor book full, fridge shelf missing and dishwasher door needs attention. Main rug in living room beginning to smell a bit doggy.

Gas ignite didn't work on cooker, and fridge could do with a new one! Looking back at your guest book its been the same issues for over 2 years- amount charged for a week in the summer holidays could easily afford £200 on a fridge!! Saying that would look at returning. Had a fantastic week in Falmouth.

We were quite disappointed.

The front of the cottage was mainly glass but with no openings. When we first arrived no windows had even been left open and it was like a sauna. We understand there may be security issues but if windows cannot be left open in the heat we've been experiencing then at least a fan could be supplied. Also we reported the bottom tray on the inside door of the fridge had been broken and so not there. We did receive confirmation an acknowledgement of the report but no action taken. Then discovered from visitor book it was first reported in 2024. Also dirty pans left in the oven and cobwebs on ceilings in bedrooms.

We had a super stay at Willow Cottage, very homely and all amenities we needed for our stay!

Would definitely stay again.

We couldn't fault the cottage at all.

It was clean, comfortable and homely. It is close to some lovely beaches. The only downfall was the laminated flooring. Our dog kept skidding on it. Also it would be nice to have a teapot as well and the fridge could do with being repaired. We would certainly recommend.

Great location and it’s a good property if you have dogs.

The property is a little tired though, a few things need attention. For example - where to hang bath towels in the bathroom to dry… the hooks are very close to the toilet. More are needed on the door or the other side of the bathroom.

Willow was very clean and had everything you would need.

The garden is perfect for dogs and ours was very happy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Willow and it’s a lovely part of the country to visit.

We loved the location and the cottage was very well presented.

A comfortable lounge and bed which is rare. The walk to the beach was short and enjoyable and the views are outstanding . Our only criticism is that the kitchen is showing its age. We would highly recommend the Willow and will definitely return.

A welcome pack would have been nice, stayed two.

Weeks no clean bedding offered, dishwasher door needs looking at .

We just wished the fance in the garden was a bit higher as our dog could jump over it apart from that a great place to stay and location.

Cottage was comfortable overall and the garden is peaceful with nice views and dog friendly, but for us I am afraid there were too many negatives.

On arrival the cottage is actually quite dark (pictures make it look alot brighter than it was) especially in the Kitchen zone. During our stay the cottage was very hot and stuffy most of the time as the location of the windows that do actually open means there is not enough of a through draught to ventilate the cottage so we had to buy a fan to circulate the air in the main living area. If it were hotter it would have been pretty unbearable. Welcome pack was very minimal so do make sure you buy essentials like milk/bread before you arrive. Looking at the guest book the ongoing problems with the loose toilet seat and the dishwasher door is a constant issue which clearly has not been properly addressed which is disappointing for a property marketed at this price point.

Great property we loved it.

We sat out in the garden a fair bit as weather was fab. View over countryside made it very peaceful. Beds very comfortable and very good quality furnishings. Nice to have parking too.

Willow was a very comfortable cottage and provided everything we needed.

It was a great location- very near Falmouth but also rural and 5 mins from the coastal path. The garden had a beautiful view, and it was lovely sitting in the sun listening to the birdsong.

All excellent, everything I needed thanks and more They’ve probably noticed that the toilet seat needs tightening up It was perfectly situated for me , close to walks, and getting around the Falmouth area.

Willow is in a great location and very comfortable.

Check in is very late and check out is very early. Things that need attention: Shower dribbles and not a strong enough flow. Wall Tiles in bathroom & shower dirty Tap in kitchen drips Oven trays rusty Fridge door tray broken, botched glue doesn’t hold Some crockery & cutlery dirty.

Great spot for young family and dog with secure garden all on same level.

Private gate to cut across golf course to costal path. 15 min walk down to Swanpool beach, bit longer on way back. Would stay again if back in Falmouth.

My husband and I booked Willow over NewYear’s as we were visiting family nearby.

The accommodation was perfect for our needs - we liked the views and the enclosed garden for our dog and easy access to the coastal footpath. It became apparent that the heating was not working which was somewhat alarming in light of the fact that it was New Year’s weekend and we had back to back storms. I rang the number in my email and was informed, unsurprisingly, that the office was closed but an emergency number was given. I rang and waited on hold for twenty minutes before giving up and went onto the website. It offered better options and I was able to WhatsApp our problem. Within the half hour, our problem had been referred to Scarlet of Cornish Cottages who called and put us in contact with the owner, Steve. Things moved very quickly and Steve came to the cottage and sorted out the glitch, much to our great relief. Our thanks to Scarlet and Steve for averting what could have been a cold and miserable stay and ensuring that we had a very enjoyable stay.

This was our 3rd stay at Willow and its just the perfect home away from home.

Best location, comfort and value for money.

We had a lovely time but I thought we could share some feedback.

First, the gas knobs are not very safe. You can turn them on very easily by just wiping around them, which happened to us twice. We all ended up with a headache and had to leave the property for some time. I ended up putting a plastic container over them to ensure our safety. The top draw in the dishwasher should be fixed, it keeps dropping. The bed in the main bedroom is rather small so if you are tall, you may struggle to sleep. Apart from that, it’s a nice property, very quiet and relaxing. We loved drinking coffee in the morning while sitting on the decking area listening to birds singing.

Really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed staying at Willow in June.

The cottage is generally of a high standard and well-equipped throughout. The lounge was comfortable and the settee was better quality than it seemed on the pictures. The kitchen was small but did the job. The garden was great for us and the dogs, given the warm weather we had. The path up to the golf course / coastal path is helpful but it would be good to have some information included that helped with knowing where locally you could let dogs have a run off lead, safely. The only things that we would say need improving are the twin beds. The listing says to ask for it to be prepared as a zip-link double but we didn't see any way to do that and thought it would be ok - the right hand bed felt like you were sleeping on a slope towards the other bed. The other one at the window side was better, but they are pretty narrow for a adult to use - though I understand that the room itself is small too so it would be difficult to include bigger beds. This was not enough to put us off and would definitely recommend Willow as a place to stay with dogs.

We found the property and it’s setting very good and dog friendly as stated in the details.

Our key points on recommending this property are as follows Everything is on one level including access to the garden via a decking. Idea for two of our party with reduced mobility. The property is well furnished with everything you need for a great stay. Silence, it’s the first thing that you notice when you are sat on the decking, all you do hear is the odd distant shout of “four” as the golfers lose another ball. There is easy access to a good dog walk through a gate close to the property and if you are a walker there is access to the Coastal Path directly from the gate across the golf course. The golfers are very friendly and will direct you across the course to one of two directions of the Coastal path east or west.. Overall a great place to stay a we recommend it.

Lovely well equipped barn conversion and spotlessly clean.

Great location and easy access to attractions by foot or car. Dogs loved the garden and we loved the garden and open views.

Booked Willow because it said garden was dog secure I wish all dog friendly places would state this if so - It was great to open kitchen door early morning for them to nip across smart decking area onto nice sized mown grass area - perfect property for singleton with a couple of pooches in tow.

Fantastic location, lovely and quiet but within easy reach of beaches and Falmouth town.

Beds were very comfortable and the garden was very secure. It was nice to sit out in the garden knowing the dogs couldn't escape.

Within the general description, it would not harm to mention that the beach, less than 1 mile, is not accessible for people with walking difficulties.

Although on first impression the property looked neat enough, there was an unpleasant smell upon entry. The location was lovely, with the view from the rear garden and it was very central for exploring the area. The Garden was well furnished, with a BBQ, rotary line and ample seating. It was also enclosed and overlooked the golf course. The inside, there were cobwebs in every room and it was evident that the furniture had not been pulled out and cleaned behind for sometime, which we did. The mastic around the bath had all peeled away and the walls all needed a coat of paint. There was a lack of the kitchen essentials i.e. kitchen roll, cling film or foil. We do appreciate that it was the end of season but these things made quite a negative impact on our stay.

What can I say?

Willow is stunning! Has everything you need! Great location for walks especially with the doggy! The beds were so comfy! More comfy then my own at home! Our children throughly enjoyed their week here and the property was well equipped. So clean and well fixed together. Thank you so so much we have loved every second of it!

Property was superb!

Would definitely stay here again and will most likely do so if our daughter ends up going to Falmouth Uni which was one of the purposes of the trip. Property was in a super location, looking out onto fields and the back garden not overlooked by any other property. Very peaceful location. Able to park the car right outside, and the path way out of the location, across the golf course and to the coast line was an ideal situation for us being we had a dog with us - I covered some 49 miles of walking during our 7 day stay and most of it was along the coastline or on the beaches. The property itself was just right for the 3 'humans' staying. Two good bedrooms, one bathroom, one lounge area and a kitchen. None of the rooms are particularly spacious but they weren't too small either. The condition of the property was excellent, was a little nervous having our dog there as even though he is very well behaved, we were a little nervous of claws making marks but it seemed to be okay. Also the rear garden had a lovely condition lawn so we hoped the dog wee's wouldn't damage it. We did water where the dog went but in most cases, we took him out for walks. But the fact the property allows dogs means we wouldn't have been staying there otherwise. Kitchen was well stocked, only very minor niggle was that there were just 2 tall glasses which if there were 3 or 4 staying, there wasn't enough. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and we'd defintitely look to stay there again if back in Falmouth.

Willow cottage was in such a great location.

Close to everything but felt like you were miles away in the peace and quiet. Lovely safe garden for our dog and great walktk Falmouth, more uphill on the way back but it's worth it!

Willow is a lovely comfortable accommodation, very spacious with lovely little garden, very quiet and relaxing place ideal for the perfect getaway.

Lovely little cottage which made a good base for visiting Cornwall.

The cottage was located in a very quiet and peaceful location, with lovely views too.

Very well equipped , and did have iron and hairdryer too! Only thing wrong, very small second bedroom and beds in there very small.

The garden was perfect for the dog,and for sitting and relaxing in.

The walks to the beaches and coastal path, all on the doorstep . A very quiet and peaceful spot. Perfect retreat after all the tourist hotspots. We loved it. The approach road was a little challenging with the potholes, but we’ve accepted that as part of the reason it’s peaceful and out of the way.

It's rare that a property truly does exceed expectations but Willow did.

It is spacious and very comfortable (especially the beds). It is very well equipped and was very clean and tidy. The garden is excellent for dogs, being completely enclosed and has lovely views across the golf course. Everyone around the location was very friendly and we felt very welcome. We will definitely come again but probably in late May/early June or September to ensure that the beaches are accessible all the time. Having said this we found everywhere was very dog friendly and fully understand the beach restrictions regarding dogs in the height of the summer season.

This was our 3rd visit to Willow Barn and again we were not disappointed.

The cottage is always spotlessly clean and the enclosed garden is perfect for our two small dogs. We look forward to our next visit.

Settees were very uncomfortable.

Dinning chair heavy to move to sit down. Very dark inside lounge area no sun or view which was disappointing.

Our stay at the Willows was just what we needed.

Very spacious and well equipped. Beautiful countryside. Only one negative The road leading up to Pennance Barnes. This road needs some work. The potholes are car killers. Don't travel to fast down this lane.

Willow barn was perfect - well equipped, immaculate throughout and in a beautiful private and peaceful location a stone through away from the coastal path.

We would love to return in the summer.

Willow was private, with a secure garden, ideal for our dog.

Been near to other holiday barns also made it seem friendly and safe. Furnishings were modern and in good order and the whole cottage well maintained and spotlessly clean. It was easy to find and ideally situated near Swanpool Beach and Falmouth. We enjoyed a drive along the beautiful Helford River, exploring its delightful little coves and creeks. Another day was spent exploring Kynance Cove and The Lizard. Even one wet and windy day we found we could happily hang out in the cottage, reading or watching television, as it was so cosy and relaxing there.

Willow was a lovely property in a nice quiet setting and the garden was totally enclosed so the dog was happy to go out without us having to watch her.

The weather wasn’t great but we went out each day and our two granddaughters went to the beach every day and we visited St Ives twice which is very pretty. Falmouth is a nice quaint holiday town and definitely worth a visit. We had a great holiday and would certainly book with Sykes again

We were really pleased with the holiday home.

The living space and facilities were excellent. The photos in the listing give a good impression of what to expect.

We had asked for the twins to be zipped to form a King size and had confirmation of this however that was not the case.

This has been resolved.

Well we have had a number of Sykes cottages and they have all been really really good if not perfect in most ways and we have always enjoyed and had a really good rest and lovely time.

However with Willow the kitchen was a NIGHTMARE... so very small and totally unmanageable. If you turned around you bumped into one side. If you made a mistake of having a door open you suffered for it. Also if both of us tried to do something we’ll forget it completely. I know a lot of people always eat out but we like to do a little of both and certainly for a couple of days stay in and rest ... well this just didn’t happen .. so sadly NO we would not go back again. Also I do ring up during my holiday there to Sykes and got no response from the young lady dealing with me most upset as Sykes are always usually so goood and helpful... sorry that this is a saga but you have asked for feedback a couple of times ...

We really enjoyed our stay at Willow cottage.

With the beauty of the Cornish countryside all around and a very short walk to the coast path across the glorious golf course, made staying here perfect for our break in Falmouth. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable, with an enclosed rear garden, making it brilliant for our dog.....we will certainly return.

It was an excellent cottage , well equipped and was so lovely to , that they had got milk and butter and cake when we arrived.

There was also washing up liquid,towels and toiletries. What more can you ask for.

Great house, everything there that you could possibly need.

Fantastic location, great walks from doorstep just disappointed that the house could of been cleaner! Floors throughout were dirty they needed a good wash as socks and feet picked up the dirt! Toilet flush needs to be looked at but apart from that the house was comfortable, warm and cosy.

We loved our stay in Willow, it met and exceeded our expectations.

Great secure garden for our young Border Terrier made life easy, wonderful walks on the doorstep, beautiful setting and views, very well equipped cottage, just perfect. We had a small problem, needed help with the TV, the response from Sykes was immediate and in fact the Owner rang us from his holiday to talk us through what we had to do. Excellent customer care. Thank you and we hope to revisit soon.
