“Beautiful well appointed cottage in an idyllic setting.”

Everything had been thought of to make our stay comfortable. Even things we didn't think we needed . Extra bedding, a starter pack for open fire, plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery....the list could go on. The cottage is decorated with local cornish scenes and there are guide books and books of interest to borrow. Juliette was a wonderful host leaving us with privacy but knowing she was available should any issues arise. Leaving a light on and a welcome present for us was a lovely touch ...

Juliette was a wonderful host leaving us with privacy but knowing she was available should any issues arise. Leaving a light on and a welcome present for us was a lovely touch. The location is perfect for exploring West Cornwall. We brought our 2 spaniels with us and there are extensive safe walks just outside the front gate. We had seen on a previous review about the waste recycling centre not far from the property. You cannot hear or see anything from the cottage and we certainly did not have any issues with it. Altogether a wonderful stay which we are hoping to book again for next year.

Rose Cottage is a charming end-terrace cottage secluded in the countryside of a river valley, in Lower Bostraze near St Just, Cornwall.

Rose Cottage is a wonderful hideaway for a small family, located only minutes from the Penwith Heritage Coast's plethora of beaches and lovely villages.

After parking in the designated spot, take in the beauty of your environment before entering your new home away from home.

Head to the sitting room, a whimsical place with original artwork from the region dotted on the walls and plenty of sumptuous chairs for you to relax in while the open fire warms you up and the Smart TV keeps you entertained.

Proceed to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, in which an alcove houses a Rayburn, the cottage's primary source of heat, as well as a selection of other excellent equipment including a dishwasher.

These appliances may be used by the foodie of the group to create culinary delights, to be savoured out on the front patio amidst the scenery, or over at the space's dining table over a glass of wine.

As the day gives way to night, climb the stairs to find two wonderful bedrooms, one super-king-size and the other a twin, both with storage and Velux windows.

On this floor, you'll also find the bathroom, where you can unwind in the bath with a soothing dip after a long day.

Travel a short distance to the town of St Just, where you'll find a variety of eateries, including The Copper Kettle and The Star Inn, as well as a selection of well-stocked stores on its main street.

Make your way from the town to the coast, where you may visit the National Trust's picturesque point at Cape Cornwall for panoramic views of the sea, before going on the South West Coast Path to the adjacent Kenidjack Valley or Porth Nanven.

Why not go to Penzance, which has access to the beach of Long Rock as well as the joys of Penzance Promenade and Trengwainton Garden, and is also where you can take a ferry to the Isles of Scilly, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty!

Additional fun can be had at St Ives, where you'll find more beautiful beaches and a bustling art scene, including the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden and The Tate St Ives.

Whitesand Bay, Porthcurno, Hayle, and Marazion are all close by and offer even more to see and do.

Rose Cottage is the perfect place to stay in Cornwall for a relaxing staycation.
