In an attractive terrace, this cosy Lostwithiel cottage has plenty of character and is comfortably furnished to provide a welcoming family holiday home.

Step from the street into one of two sitting rooms, and then through an archway leading into a TV room, ideal for relaxing in front of the fire.

The kitchen of this Lostwithiel cottage is well equipped and provides ample space for family meals around the dining table.

There are three good-sized bedrooms and a family bathroom completing the Lostwithiel cottage accommodation.

At the rear of this Lostwithiel cottage there is a pretty, enclosed garden with space to play, have a family BBQ or just relax and plan the day ahead.

Lostwithiel has a fabulous selection of antiques shops, and with many antiques fairs, it has become the antiques capital of Cornwall.

With a choice of delis, shops, restaurants and pubs plus an award-winning produce market, the town is attracting a growing number of visitors, who also enjoy the beautiful woodland walks along the River Fowey.

From this Lostwithiel cottage there is easy access to the beautiful coastlines of Cornwall, and the Eden Project is a few miles away.

There is the quaint harbour at Mevagissey, Shipwreck museum at the little port of Charlestown or the stretches of sandalong the sweeping St Austell Bay, all a short drive from this Lostwithiel cottage.

A perfect base to explore south east Cornwall, away from the crowds.

About the location

LOSTWITHIEL

Bodmin 5.5 miles; Fowey 7 miles.

A delightfully peaceful country town, nestling in the Fowey river valley amid the woods and fields that characterise the area. Renowned as a centre for the antiques trade, there are several shops and dealers in the town, as well as a fine collection of country pubs, restaurants and a thriving farmer’s market. Lanhydrock House (NT) and gardens is just 3 miles away, while the fabulous Boconnoc House, Eden Project, shipwreck museum and tall ships harbour at Charlestown, and the picturesque fishing villages of Mevagissey, Fowey and Padstow, with the famous Rick Stein restaurants, are all within easy driving distance. The tumbling Atlantic surf, long sandy beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast, including at the renowned Newquay, make for great days out and there is also chance to enjoy river canoeing, biking, hiking and leisurely walks in this lovely area. The friendly locals also have ongoing activities, such as the raft race, the famous tug of war, Carnival week and seagull outboard motor races. The river Fowey runs from the town on its 8 mile journey through the fields and wooded valleys to the gentler southern coast, a natural paradise for those who love the sea. Centrally placed, with much to do and see in the immediate area, Lostwithiel is the perfect choice for those seeking a break away from the hectic pace of the tourist resorts.
