“Debbie is an excellent and welcoming host.”

She contacted us pre holiday to let us know about the facilities on offer, messaged to wish us a safe journey and was extremely kind by lending us a wheelchair for the holiday. The cottage is in a beautiful setting, is cosy, accessible for those with mobility issues and extremely well equipped. This was especially welcome as we were unfortunate with the weather and were cooking in every day. The outside areas are well thought out and maintained. “The owners were very welcoming and kept us informed as to when we would be able to access the property and would be there to meet us and explain all the details of the property and operate sauna etc.”

As they had been in contact to let us know what we did not have to take as it was provided in the property that i thought was a very nice touch and it showed how much care had been taken in giving a very good holiday. You do not have to take anything with you only your clothes and food all the little details have been thought out so well and is true as pictures on the site.Had an absolutely fabulous time and would not hesitate to book again.

“Faultless accommodation.”

Great location, 15 minutes from Crackington Haven, Widemouth Beach and Bude. Our son enjoyed the swing and the go kart (multiple sizes provided). So much provided we didn't make use of it all. Debbie and Roger lovely hosts. We've never been so sad to leave a holiday house and wished we had booked for 2 weeks!

Amazing is the only word to describe it. The location was so peaceful and quite, but only 20 mins away from shops and close to lots of great places to visit. The owners were amazing and so welcoming and left lots of nice touches to make you feel welcome. We will definitely be going again.

“An amazing cottage with wonderful hosts.”

I think the best thought out property we have ever stayed in. The facilities are exceptional-everything you could possibly need. Quiet, peaceful area but a good spot for beach, NT properties and generally exploring. We stayed at the cottage as a couple and a friend and it suited us to the extent our friend has asked for first refusal if they ever sell up!

“Stayed here the last weekend in April and had a fantastic weekend.”

The facilities are amazing and Debbie and Rodger have thought of everything a family needs to have a great time away. The play park is perfect for kids of all ages and the amount of toys that are in offer is amazing our kids were never bored at all. The gardens are a really lovely place to spend some time to relax and the sauna although we didn’t get to use it as we where busy looks fantastic. The cottage it’s self is so beautifully decorated and homely. I’m so glad I managed to find this booking and can definitely say we will be booking again. Once again thank you for a wonderful holiday

“The cottage and gardens are beautiful, the cottage has everything you need and feels so homely and warm.”

The views across the meadow where the cottage gets its name are spectacular. The gardens which unfortunately we couldn’t take much advantage of because of the weather are beautiful and includes a exclusive sauna and workout equipment chalet if you fancy. The owner Debbie was brilliant so friendly and welcoming, contacting us a few days before to inform us what was included in the cottage, then when we got there taking us through everything and how things worked.

Debbie is a fantastic host, from the pre-visit communication to her helpful and welcoming presence during the week. The cottage is beautifully presented and had all the facilities you could want, and was kept immaculately clean. The photos do not do justice to the outside areas, which are beautiful and spacious. The children’s play facilities are particularly brilliant, including go-karts! We were also very grateful for all the beach equipment provided, including chairs, bodyboards and buckets and spades. Debbie and Roger really have thought about everything at this property.

“Everything about this Cottage was excellent.”

My husband said it was a hidden gem. The beds were just right for a perfect night's sleep after a wonderful day exploring the many sights of Cornwall. The facilities were second to none and our hosts Debbie and Roger were the friendliest, loveliest couple you could hope to meet. They made our stay extra specialby giving our daughter a card and present as it was her 9th birthdaywhile we were staying there. Our children loved the garden, play park and go-karts.

“The cottage and owners were brilliant.”

Would stay there again. However my experience with getting a refund for the lack of sauna at the cottage was very frustrating. In August the owners agreed to a refund. Initially someone responded to my email then it took over a month to sort out and was not refunded til we returned home in September. Speaking to the owners they had authorised it back in August. Sykes just kept sending a holding e mail and did not facilitate the refund until constantly being contacted by myself and the owners. Embarrassing for me and the owner. To date I still haven't had a reply to my e mail.

Internally, you can find three plush bedrooms, including a super-king, a king, and a twin room, all tastefully decorated with plump pillows and stylish touches, it’s the perfect set up to comfortably sleep the whole family, with the added bonus of slippers and robes personalised with the initials of the cottage, giving it an extra special touch of personalised perfection.

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
