What a lovely stay we had. The grounds and the views were just so unreal and immaculately kept. The house was so well equipped! All you would need to do is a food shop and you are sorted for your stay! We struggled to find accommodation that would allow more than 2 dogs. We took 5 dogs with us and they loved it too! Plenty of walking space and great that there is a little enclosed area for them to use. The only little thing that could have made our time better - you aren't allowed to leave dogs in the house and they are also not allowed down near the pool area, so it makes it quite difficult if all your guests want to pop down and use the pool facilities at the same time. But we made it work and would 100 percent come back! Thank you for our stay

Thank you for your lovely feedback. As a help to guests who want to use the pool we have provided a spacious outside kennel for each cottage and we also have dog crates we can lend you during your stay. We are glad you found a solution and enjoyed your stay. The Helsbury Team. Property Owner

The property

Marhayes is one of two 200 year old barn conversions which have been modernised to create spacious and luxurious holiday homes, within Helsbury Park just outside Camelford.

One of three luxury properties that is completely dog friendly and offers fantastic accommodation and amenities for the whole family to enjoy.

There is a shared and heated indoor swimming plus 100 acres of countryside to explore.

Refurbished to maximise its charm and comfort using traditional materials such as slate and granite and luxuries such as a range cooker and wood burner for winter cosiness.

The living accommodation offers a generous kitchen/diner and open plan sitting room, ideal for socialising with family and friends.

It also has a downstairs bathroom and utility room.

There are two super bedrooms both with king-size four poster beds and one twin bedroom, all bedrooms have stylish en-suite shower rooms.

Built at right angles to Westhayes (which also sleeps 6), the two barns share a front lawn, each has a separate outdoor sitting area with barbecue, an enclosed private area to the rear where dogs can be exercised in a controlled space, along with an outdoor kennel.

Situated in the heart of North Cornwall this unique site is nestled in between three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty: The Camel Valley, Bodmin Moor and the North Cornish Coast, this superb venue not only offers luxurious accommodation but is also totally dog friendly.

Stroll around the private grounds which include a river, bridge, woods and pasture - it will take you about an hour to loop the whole garden.

Take in spectacular vistas of Bodmin Moor and the Camel Valley with a view of Roughtor and Devil's Jump to the east and the river valley to the south.Marhayes is a very tempting choice for a holiday for family and friends to explore the surrounding area or just to stay on the park.

For larger groups we also let the adjoining properties: Westhayes (959871) and The Farmhouse (959869), both of which sleep 6.
