Surf and Sand

Our second stay at Surf and Sand and I’m sure it won’t be our last.

The highlight of the apartment is its location being so close to the beach and coastal footpaths. Watching the waves crashing from the balcony and master bedroom is a highlight for me! The apartment is well furnished with every kitchen appliance you can think of! My only (minor) criticism is that the mattress in the main bedroom has a bit too much ‘give’ and I found it unsupportive but I understand that Bill & Claire (the hosts) are replacing it soon and intend to redecorate the apartment which will improve what is already a lovely apartment.

We didn’t want to leave. To wake to the sound of the sea is so relaxing. The property is well equipped, homely and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

It was lovely to see a cream tea, milk etc and a bottle of wine waiting for us. A lovely touch by the owners, Bill & Claire. The tv was big and having a full sky package was really nice. The view was amazing from the balcony as you look over Carbis bay. We enjoyed our stay and will look forward to coming back again soon.

We had a lovely and relaxing break, and we were so impressed by the warm welcome from your team. We especially appreciated being able to check in early. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. The facilities were comprehensive and met all of our needs. The only area for improvement we noted was the bathrooms, which could use some refurbishment. We found that the toilets were a bit temperamental, the shower leaked, and the thermostat on the bath shower came off. While the bathrooms were very clean, these issues did detract slightly from an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, we would highly recommend Surf & Sand to our friends and hope to return in the future.

The apartment was excellent with everything you could need. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach was a highlight. Great access into St Ives by the train that stops just behind the apartment or you can walk the coastal path. Our second stay here and is our goto place to stay in the future.

Surf & Sand is a lovely apartment with an amazingly equipped kitchen and quality furnishings throughout.

We really appreciated having an air fryer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Its position overlooking Carbis Bay is the highlight with the coastal footpath literally just across the road. Highly recommended and we enjoyed our week so much that we have booked to return to Surf & Sand next year.

Very good location, comfortable throughout and well equipped kitchen.

The balcony with seating & table is a real asset. The kitchen had a range of electrical appliances, and was well stocked with glasses and crockery. A few extra items would also be useful e.g. cafetiere, bottle-opener, knife-sharpener, metal baking trays (pyrex is versatile but does not roast as well). The property owner was very helpful during our stay. On our request they delivered extra linen (as we were there for a 2 weeks).

We have been staying at Surf and Sand for a number of years now and, it is always the same high standard.

The position is perfect and we never tire of that fantastic view. Everything we need is provided and we can relax and unwind knowing it is like home.

Lovely apartment, with beautiful view over Carbis Bay, St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.

Lots of lovely goodies left for us as well. If we ever go back to this part of Cornwall we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning apartment and the view of the sea is incredible. We felt very lucky to have found such a beautiful place to stay for May half term. The apartment was spotless and the owners had been so kind to put extras in for when we arrived. We are recommending Surf and Sand to our friends/family and we will definitely be returning.

The apartment is immaculate with exceptional views of the sea.

I especially loved the sea view from the bed whilst having a cup of tea in the morning. The sofas and beds very comfortable. Kitchen/bathroom is well equipped with all the modern appliances. Loved the overall decor. The welcome gifts of wine, chocolate, biscuits and flowers and a gift of a bag were lovely. I would recommend my friends to visit. Thank you.

Outstanding apartment, cleanliness is 5 star, full of the latest mod cons, and the views are breathtaking .

The owners of Surf and Sand went above and beyond with everything, you can’t improve on perfection, our issues or with Sykes’s.

The facilities at the apartment are superb and the location is stunning.

Its a shame the beach is not controlled better. Being woken up at 5-6 am each morning by dogs constantly yapping up and down the beach is not really conducive to a relaxing holiday. Also the life guards have chosen not to enforce excluding paddle boarders in the "swimmers only" section making it unsafe for children to swim on their own - I myself was hit by a paddle boarder in this supposedly safe area. This did detract from the holiday as the beach and its proximity to the apartment is the main attraction.

Flat was perfect.

Experience was ruined by delays returning deposit which has still not been returned nearly three weeks after returning.

Surf and Sand is a very good apartment very clean and in a good location for the beach.

This is our second time we have stopped there everything that you need is there for you a very good kitchen two very good bedrooms very good en-suit and a very good bathroom a excellent lounge with sky TV and lovely views of Carbis Bay

6th time in these wonderful apartments what we now consider a home from home.

Came last March just before lockdown which was our last holiday and booked it as soon as we could after lockdown was lifted so our first much needed and long dreamed of holiday. It was all we had hoped for and more. First time in this apartment and it lived up to the pictures online.

Beautiful views of the beach. 2 min walk and everything you could possibly need. Recommended places: Becks take away is great just up the road. We got the train to St Ives and daughter used surf school. The Deli coffee on Carbis Bay is lovely. The beach is fantastic.
