Cragford
Description
Cragford is an exceptional holiday home set within acres of private grounds in a breathtaking clifftop position, enjoying private access to Gwenver Beach and Sennen Cove.
Located just four miles along the coast from Land’s End, this remarkable property offers truly outstanding accommodation in one of Cornwall’s most dramatic and beautiful settings.
As you approach along the private lane, sweeping sea views begin to unfold, building anticipation before revealing their full impact on arrival.
Four steps lead down to the front door and into an impressive slate‑floored hallway, setting the tone for the quality and scale found throughout.
The main living accommodation features back‑to‑back sitting rooms, both commanding some of the most spectacular Atlantic views imaginable.
Whatever the season, it’s easy to lose hours here watching the ocean roll in, with nature providing an ever‑changing backdrop.
For quieter evenings, the home cinema room offers a cosy retreat, perfect for settling in on one of the many inviting sofas.
The spacious kitchen and dining area is equally impressive, with a large table where everyone can gather for relaxed breakfasts while planning the day ahead.
Designed with group stays in mind, the accommodation offers flexible sleeping arrangements, including two twin bedrooms, a family room with an adjoining room containing a child’s single bed and cot, and the truly unforgettable master bedroom.
This extraordinary principal bedroom is remarkable both for its scale and its stunning domed feature window, which frames mesmerising coastal views.
The ceiling has been meticulously painted to create the illusion of sleeping beneath a star‑filled sky on the deck of a galleon, making it a space that must be experienced to be believed.
The indulgent en‑suite bathroom continues the sense of luxury, centred around a striking freestanding bath perfectly suited to such a memorable room.
Outside, the extensive grounds provide numerous places to sit and relax, allowing guests to fully embrace the coastal surroundings.
Beneath the house, a dedicated sauna room adds an extra layer of indulgence, creating a wonderfully private spa‑style experience, complete with a shower just outside for an invigorating cold‑water contrast.
For an alternative sauna experience, guests can also book a session with Bos Sauna, set right on the edge of the cove with sweeping Atlantic views, followed by a refreshing sea dip for the brave.
A stroll down to Gwenver Beach reveals some of Cornwall’s finest surfing conditions, and at low tide it joins neighbouring Sennen Cove, widely regarded as one of the county’s best stretches of golden sand.
Here, visitors can book a lesson with the award‑winning Sennen Surfing Centre, or soak up the beachside atmosphere before heading to Sennen Surf Lodge for relaxed food with a view of the waves.
For walkers, the nearby South West Coast Path offers unforgettable coastal routes, while a visit to Land’s End is a must.
Weary ramblers will find a welcome stop at Land’s End Coffee Bar & Roastery, just a short stroll from the iconic headland.
With its spectacular setting, exceptional comfort and unrivalled access to Cornwall’s wild coastline, Cragford promises a truly memorable stay in an iconic location, whatever the time of year.

What guests are saying
The house is worn down in need of a full renovation.
Our 5th visit of many more we hope.
For those of us who've lived and worked in central Cornwall for over 50 years this is our reward place. Just magnificent in every way. Thank you, back very soon without doubt. And Jason and cleaners cannot be faulted . Tremendous.
The house itself is lovely and we will definitely return, but there were a surprising number of maintenance and housekeeping issues given the price point.
Issues during our stay included: * No kitchen roll, jay cloths or basic cooking essentials such as salt * Missing bulbs in bedroom lamps * Broken lamp in the master bedroom (this had apparently been reported previously) * Incorrectly sized sheet on the master bed * Broken toaster / required 10 minutes of toasting to achieve toast * Front door jammed, requiring access via the rear entrance * Bedroom 2 door would not stay closed and blew open repeatedly * Black hairs on the windowsill in the second bedroom bathroom on arrival * Large stain in the TV room * No hand soap in the master bathroom * Dead rabbit left on the lawn on arrival * Terrace view now significantly obscured by a very large hedge * Window weather seal peeling away * Ceiling cladding coming loose and exposing insulation * Leaking gutter * Flickering kitchen lights * Hob temperature control inconsistent * Living room windows extremely dirty * Rusted barbecue unusable * Outdoor table damaged and unusable * Cheap and partly damaged plastic dining chairs There were also an excessive number of mugs (36). On the positive side, the increase in cutlery and bowls since our previous stay was noticed and appreciated.
