Meridian

This is our third stay at Meridian.

It is a lovely clean property with great views. There is a nice shared garden which we didn’t use on this occasion as it’s November. The lift was working which is great for transporting luggage from the allocated parking spot. Very easy though to use the stairs on a day to day basis. As always a great walk down to Carbis Bay and into St Ives. Handy train that runs every 30 minutes too. Lovely walks to Lelant and short drive to Godrevy. Thank you for a relaxing stay

The lift and the electric gates were working this time. Nice to sit out in the lovely garden. Nice property.

Ideally positioned in Carbis Bay.

Good access to the coastal path and scenic walks. Note steep road down to the beach. Didn’t bother us but could be an issue for some. Good parking spot. Electric gates out of order (not really an issue). Two flights of stairs to property (lift out of order). Bright and airy property. It was generally clean and the kitchen was generally well stocked. One or two broken kitchen door handles and the microwave was marked inside. One or two broken items left in the cupboards. No pint glasses and only 4 forks! Definitely had the feel of being managed by a holiday property company rather than the extra touches often achieved when managed by the owners. Excellent view of the bay and views towards St Ives and Godrevy lighthouse. Some lovely walks from the property into St Ives. Handy train service too £1 each way. Ran quite late making it easy to eat out in an evening. A decent fish and chip shop “Becks” a short walk up the hill. Would consider returning

There is a lift at this property which is why we rented it for our holiday due to my husband being disabled .

We have stayed at this property before and knew it was suitable for our requirements. However on arrival this time we were very upset to discover the lift was out of order and had been for sometime . We were not notified by the holiday company Sykes about this , otherwise we would have changed the booking ! We struggled for the whole week which totally ruined our holiday.

Nice apartment, very modern and with just about everything you need for a holiday let.

Lovely views out of the lounge windows too. We took our two grandchidren and they were pleased to see lots of Playstation games and DVD's etc. The only thing that we found annoying was we booked several months ago and the information said the lift wasn't working at that time. we thought it might have been fixed but sadly not. We are both getting on in years and the climb up the two flights of stairs with all our cases and paraphernalia with 2 grandchildren was rather exhausting so it would be nice to see the lift working (especially after the climb up the hill from the beach every day!) Other than that the only thing was the central heating kept coming on even though we turned the thermostat right down so it was rather warm at times. Bedrooms are a good size with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and great to see lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe rather than the 3 or 4 that a lot of places provide. The 2 good size en suite bathrooms were great as well with plenty of towels provided. All in all it is a lovely apartment with great facilities and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Been around the world and without doubt this has been the best apartment we have ever stayed at.

It was superb in all aspects, very very clean, roomy, comfortable, fully equipped with every device one could want. Well organised arrival with explicit instructions on obtaining keys to enter the building & apartment & to open the powered gate for parking. The views were fantastic , use of a lovely garden overlooking Carbis Bay. Saying it was perfect doesn't do it justice. It was exceptional. J & S Hill

Fabulous location and view.

Well facilitated property and very clean. Few too many keys to fiddle around with and switching all electrics on and off was a bit annoying but overall a nice spacious apartment.

Very clean well equipped modern flat perfectly located for the beach and surrounding area.

Nice apartment, would use again, a nice touch was leaving tea, coffee, sugar, and milk and some stuff, for the bathroom.

The biggest drawback was that we couldn’t get into the accommodation until 3pm and trying to find parking was impossible. If we could have got in sooner it would have been better. Lovely sea side view and was great for the local train station to get into ST Ives. Nice and quiet at night, just a good all round location.

Absolutely fantastic stay!

Views are incredible...photos actually don't do them justice. Missing looking out the window while eating breakfast already. The binoculars provided were a brilliant touch, my kids loved looking out to see the lighthouse and all the boats. Location is perfect, with Carbis Bay only a stone's throw away and the train station ideal to access St Ives super quickly. Would 100% stay here again and I've already sent the link to the apartment to a few friends, as I had so many questions about it from photos I've taken the last week. Just a couple of tiny suggestions for future people staying.... there were dishwasher tablets but no washing up liquid provided, not a major issue but needed it as only 4 of us there so wouldn't use the dishwasher daily. Also, could do with some pint glasses and at least one extra plastic cup for the kids (was only 1 in cupboard). Extra bin bags would also be a good idea. Despite these tiny things I was blown away by the facilities and cleanliness at the apartment. Also a fab touch having milk, tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen roll provided. Everything was easy to use and plenty of great instructions for appliances (e.g. washing machine and dishwasher). My kids want to sell our house and live in your holiday home lol. The property was very comfortable and well situated with excellent views of Carbis Bay.

A few basic things let it down - three bulbs were not working - two in the lounge and one in the double room ensuite bathroom. A clock on the mantlepiece was not working - it had no battery - either get a battery or supply a clock that works ! A couple of the magazines about Cornwall in the lounge were 5 years old - it can't be difficult to get some up to date information. The windows needed a good clean and also not enough toilet rolls were provided, we had to go and buy some. Finally the outside bin we were instructed to use was not numbered (in fact none of the bins were numbered). Nothing major, however when paying £1,639 for a weekly rental I expect better!

Meridian is a fantastic 2 bedroomed apartment with masses of space and has everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday.

We absolutely loved our time in Meridian and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Carbis bay / St Ives in Cornwall.

A very spacious and well-appointed apartment with beautiful views.

Very well decorated throughout with a well-equipped kitchen. Instructions for the bins/recycling was lacking. There were no numbers on the bins and there were only seven bins for eight apartments (Ours was number 8!). It would have been useful to know the bin collection day and what could be recycled and where to put it.

Yes - not enough Crockery available for a family of four, not enough for 2 meal times without having to wash up in between.

Easy to find and close to amenities. But also quiet and not too busy. We loved it and have booked again but for a week next year. Definitely recommend
