The property

Chydour is a lovely, ground-floor apartment on the outskirts of Penzance, Cornwall.

This pet-friendly apartment, which is an annexe to the owner's home, is located near gorgeous woodland, and offers stylish furniture and open-plan living for couples, families, or friends looking to explore Cornwall.

Step inside the bright and spacious living area after parking in the off-road parking space.

A stylish kitchen is well-equipped for preparing home-cooked meals for four people to enjoy at the dining table.

While you relax on the sofas with a movie on the Smart TV, the dishwasher will take care of all the dirty work.

On chilly nights, start the woodburning stove and spread out a blanket for your dog to rest their paws.

When it's time to retire for the night, freshen up in the spacious bathroom, which includes a bath, walk-in shower.

Both double bedrooms have plenty of storage, one of which is zip/link to accommodate two friends or the little ones.

There are plenty of convenience stores and eateries nearby, with the centre of Penzance only a short journey away, with many of activities in offer; stroll along the lovely harbour with an ice cream in hand or visit the latest exhibition at Penlee House Gallery & Museum.

From here, keen walkers can join the South West Path, which winds all the way to Land's End and offers scenic bays to rest in.

Long Rock Beach, with the historic town of Marazion adjacent, is one of many beautiful, sandy beaches in the area; be sure to follow the causeway at low tide to St Michael's Mount, which is home to a splendid mediaeval castle and Norman church.

Take a drive or hop on the train from Penzance to St Ives, a vibrant, bohemian Cornish town with the best of sandy beaches for surfing and watersports, Tate St Ives, and twisting lanes lined with cafés and quirky boutiques.

You'll enjoy returning to Chydour, your home away from home in Cornwall, after a day of excursions.

About the location

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
