Barn Cottage

Well first I thought I was at I different location because it looked like a film set it was perfect.

My partners face said it all. I never told her all about it because I kept it as a surprise. But we had problems because my daughter is Autistic and I tried to entertain her with swimming pool and games room but and visiting different locations but this became difficult as days went by. But I would love to visit again but hopefully I get rest bite. There was supposed to be 6 of use but 3 couldn’t of made it which was going to be easier for me and my partner but that wasn’t the case.

The cottage overall was lovely.

The welcome pack of teas/coffee/biscuits was a very nice touch. The space was great, kitchen had everything and more in terms of cooking/baking utensils/appliances. David the site manager was great, always there if needed. Couple of negatives was the heated pool was not heated due to broken parts therefore very cold on some days which limited the time spent in it. The sofas in the living area were strangely damp (in August) and smelt very musty. The leg of the dining room table broke whilst we were all seated one evening (appeared to have been repaired before but requires a permanent fix). We utilised the vast array of books present to assist stabilising it. The wardrobes in the downstairs bedroom were locked which made you feel you were staying in someone else’s bedroom (there is another wardrobe opposite the bathroom in the hallway), however, having that bedroom downstairs greatly assisted my father. Games room could really do with being updated (snooker table dips in the centre rendering it impossible to play) but was a nice touch for something to pass the time (table tennis) on a relaxed afternoon. Overall an enjoyable stay with a few setbacks. Thank you.

An idyllic place to stay, and we will definitely be booking for next year.

Very impressed all round. Only minus point, the email from Sykes Cottages gave contact details as Francesca … mobile and phone line. Sadly she had left 18 months prior, Sykes have apparently been repeatedly informed.

Amazing place to stay, very private and quiet.

Nothing was too much trouble for David, the estate manager, most helpful and very friendly. Accommodation was beautifully prepared and was way above expectations, the photos on line don’t do it justice!

Barn cottage was absolutely beautiful.

It was clean, spacious and met all our needs. It’s perfectly placed to visit lots of gorgeous places nearby. We would visit again and highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Barn Cottage.

The property is stunning and very spacious with everything you need to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Dave and Sally were so so friendly and honestly went out of their way to ensure you had a relaxing stay. The annex has recently had a refurb with new en-suite and decorated to a very high standard. It was beautiful. The location is well situated between Marazion and St Ives, around 10-15 minutes from each town. It is a perfect spot for exploring. We have already started to look at availability for next year so that we can return.

a great site Cottage was wonderful very clean and plenty big enough for the 6 of us.

the annex was great and gave us that little bit of quite space while still being with the the family. the very big bonus was the pool and grounds wonderful walks, room the the grandchildren to play and the time spent at the pool relaxing was just the tonic we needed. any problems and Dave was always on hand and was always a helpful, polite and very approachable guy .i would recommend this Cottage and site to anyone and would not hesitate to return to this wonderful site.

Fabulous location and space.

The Barn is beautiful and offers everything a family would need. The swimming pool is perfect for the children as is the large green space to play and run around. It is so quiet and dark, very very peaceful! The kitchen is fully stocked and having the pool house with extra glasses and plates to hand is also a bonus. The downstairs shower which is an en suite to the downstairs bedroom works well, however, the upstairs shower does not have any pressure. If we needed to wash our hair we had to use the downstairs shower because there was not enough water coming out upstairs. On one occasion, because there were 6 of us I had to resort to washing my hair under the bath taps as it was better than the shower! Installing a shower pump to the upstairs bathroom would really make a difference.
