The property

Masons Cottage is a contemporary, terraced cottage resting in the heart of the coastal town of Penzance.

Set across three floors, with flexible sleeping arrangements and within easy reach of excellent amenities, the cottage makes an ideal base for a family holiday in Cornwall.

Off-road parking ensures an easy arrival, before entering the quaint blue door of this delightful cottage.

Clean, white walls and hard wooden floors grace the interior along with stylish furnishings throughout.

Immediately climb the stairs to find a bright and airy open-plan living space on the first floor, complete with dining for four people and a well-appointed kitchen area; rustle up hearty meals or beach picnics with the electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and ample storage space.

After a long day exploring the coast, sink into the leather sofas of the sitting area, with a rug for two well-behaved dogs to rest on, whilst you host a movie marathon on the Smart TV.

Follow the stairs down to the lower-ground-floor utility/garage to throw sandy clothes and towels straight into the handy washing machine.

Rinse off in the sleek, second-floor shower room whilst your towel toasts on the heated towel rail, before retiring to one of two well-presented bedrooms.

Catch your rest in the king-size room with a TV for lazy mornings under the covers, whilst the twin room is ideal for either two younger guests or a second couple thanks to the zip/link feature; both bedrooms offer ample storage space for your holiday essentials.

With the attractions of Penzance right on your doorstep, be sure to venture along the promenade for fish and chips, browse the exhibitions at the stunning, Victorian Penlee House Gallery & Museum, whilst plenty of shops and eateries ensure a comfortable self-catering holiday in Cornwall.

The local train station puts you within easy reach of nearby towns and villages throughout Cornwall!

Enjoy a day out in the neighbouring Marazion for a boat trip across to St Michael's Mount, an iconic island with a medieval castle and sub-tropical gardens to explore, whilst the town itself has family-friendly and dog-friendly sandy beaches to soak up the sun, play in the sand and paddle in the sea.

Further north lies St Ives, a renowned seaside resort famed for its Bohemian atmosphere; laze along the sandy beaches, wander through Tate St Ives or follow winding, cobbled streets to find plenty of interesting boutiques and cafés.

A walker's paradise, Cornwall offers plenty of trails taking guests along dramatic coastlines with tranquil bays and spectacular vistas from the likes of Clodgy Point and Gurnard's Head.

Journey further south to Sennen, a picturesque, coastal civil parish near to Penwith Heritage Coast, scattered with historic ruins and grassy clifftops.

Hike all the way to Land's End, visit the secluded Nanjizal Beach or discover Carn Euny Ancient Village, the ruins of a preserved, prehistoric village.

With so much to discover along Cornwall's coast, book your holiday at Masons Cottage for the perfect location.

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
