  • David

“A very nice place to stay, very quiet which was ideal for us, with a fantastic view.”

A short downhill walk via footpath to Coverack, which suited us well. Would recommend an on-line Supermarket delivery if you travel without a car, as we did. The only suggested improvement is an extractor fan for the bathroom, but appreciate there is an opening window. Thank you for the biscuits, milk and orange juice on arrival! Very homely with lovely pictures on a coastal theme. Would certainly visit again. Short downhill walk to nearby cove, and lovely coastal walking!

Thank you for the lovely review David. So far as we know you are the first person to have stayed at Seaview without a car! As the nearest large supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury, Lidl) are around 12 miles away, guests are advised to stock up before arriving - Seaview houses a large fridge freezer. There is however, a local village store which typically stocks milk, bread, eggs and newspapers, amongst many other items. Future guests considering staying without a car, may be interested to know that there is a Go Cornwall Bus app which contains all relevant timetables. At the time of writing it is possible to purchase a 7 day ticket for £25 which covers bus travel anywhere in Cornwall. Property Owner

Coverack 1 mile.

With magnificent, far-reaching sea views, this beautifully-presented end-terrace cottage is set in the stunning grounds of Coverack Headland on the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, only a short distance away from the unspoilt fishing village of Coverack and its wonderful beach.

Entering the cottage you will sense the homely feel, with a comfortable sitting room and open plan kitchen and dining room.

There are three bedrooms, one double and two singles and a bathroom all on the first floor.

Outside there is a private patio with a picnic table which leads on to the attractive communal grounds, a great spot for a picnic and then down to a sandy beach.

With no WiFi to spoil the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings, this really is a place to relax and unwind.

With wonderful coastal walks in either direction, as well as a delightful path leading down to Coverack, this really is a place to enjoy to the full and appreciate the natural surroundings.

In Coverack itself, a traditional Cornish bar and a choice of restaurants will satisfy all tastes and a short drive away will offer an even wider selection hidden amongst tiny coves and villages that combine to make the Lizard Peninsula such a special destination all year round.

About the location

COVERACK

St Keverne 2.3 miles; Helston 11.6 miles; Falmouth 18.5 miles.

Coverack is a small fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, a few miles from Lizard Point in Cornwall, the most southerly point on mainland Britain. Coverack is a beautiful and peaceful place to escape the main tourist routes and offers a beach in the sheltered bay, which is ideal for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, as well as shops, pub, and restaurants. Further amenities lie in St Keverne, which has a post office, shops and 2 traditional pubs. The Lizard Peninsula has many spectacular coves and beaches and is noted for its rare geology and plants. From Lizard Point there are wonderful sea views from the windswept cliffs, which provide fabulous walking opportunities along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. Inland is the market town of Helston, known for its Flora Day Festival, and in Gweek is The Cornish Seal Sanctuary, whilst approximately ten miles away is the Culdrose Airfield, where once a year the public are welcome to come and meet the Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Navy’s flying force. Coverack is ideally located for exploring The Lizard Peninsula, as well as the lovely seaside towns of St Ives and Falmouth and many other beaches and pretty villages.
