Little Seacroft

Hello Cally, so very pleased to read you had a lovely stay at Little Seacroft. Yes, 100% agree with you, the location is fabulous; I find the fantastically close proximity to the beach to be one of my favourite aspects of it. Wonderful that you appreciated the views and the size of the property, and that you appreciated the kitchen. We very much hope to welcome you back, take good care till then, Michelle

Hello Duncan, so very happy to read that you’d recommend Little Seacroft and glad that you found it a great place from which to view the eclipse. Very much hope to welcome you back soon. Take care, Michelle

Hello David, so wonderful to read that you found Little Seacroft to be a fabulous little place in the most ideal location, and that it exceeded your expectations! Yes, I think having lots of windows and doors and high ceilings, coupled with the expansive views of the countryside and seascape, do make it feel extra spacious and light. Glad to also read you’re a fan of Crantock; me too! And yes, being so close to the beach, a couple of good pubs and restaurants, and a decent corner shop, does mean you actually don’t have to drive anywhere. Really pleased to read you’ll be back; we look forward to welcoming you! Take care till then, Michelle

Hello Andrew, wonderful to read that you had a lovely stay at Little Seacroft. I’m sorry you didn’t find the three-seater sofa sufficiently large enough for the two of you, and that you didn’t find the coffee table to be the appropriate height to be used as a footstool. I’m also sorry to read about the temperamental door; I’ve relayed this the management company to get this sorted. I don’t know if you noticed, but there were two draws in the divan, one on either side of the bed to be able to store belongings in. I think you make a potentially valid point re: the garden. Obviously both Little Seacroft and Seacroft each have their own private patios and seating, but yes, the rear garden does have a singular set of table and chairs. You would have been most welcome to move the chairs from your patio to the rear garden, but I will think more about creating another space in the rear garden for additional seating; thank you for the suggestion. Regarding the horses, I’d be surprised if they hadn’t been attended to throughout the duration of your visit. My experience of the horses’ carers is that they wholly dedicated to the welfare of their four-legged friends, typically visiting them very early in the morning (certainly well before the time of day that I am up!). The horses’ stables are at the very bottom of the field, and difficult to see from Little Seacroft, but that would have provided shade and shelter, especially during the recent very hot weather. Really glad to read that you had a lovely stay, and we are keen to welcome you back. Take good care till then, Michelle

Hello Karen, thank you so much for taking the time leave a review. Wonderful to hear that you had a comfortable stay at Little Seacroft and that you felt it was great accommodation. Fab that you enjoyed the facilities and the welcome pack; putting all that info together was definitely a labour of love but makes it entirely worth it to know you found the pack useful. Ah sure sure, not sure if you found it, but there is a ironing pad mat that is designed to put on the dining room table to make the process easier? Also, sorry to read that were was some difficulty with the bedroom door; I'll ask the maintenance person to have a nosey at it, thank you for the heads up. So pleased to read that you'd like to stay again, very keen to welcome you back. Take good care till then, Michelle

Hello Anne, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Glad to read that you appreciated the drinks and milk in the fridge, and that you found the proximity to beach to be fantastic. However, I’m sorry to read that the bed was not to your liking. The provision of a harder mattress coupled with a mattress topper is purposeful in that it endeavours to meet the wide variety of guests’ preferences. Namely, that for those who prefer a softer bed, they can keep the mattress topper on (which the manufacturer states as 4”), and for those who prefer a harder bed, they can remove it. Regarding your second point, I’m aware that the steps you mention are flanked by stone walls, albeit not waist or hip height for the entirety of the incline/decline, but I do wonder if their presence provided a useful point of contact when traversing them. However, of course the garden can also be accessed via the concrete ramp that runs alongside (as opposed to behind) Little Seacroft; I hope that access better met your needs. Take really good care, Michelle

Hello Allen, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for your stay at Little Seacroft, and wonderful to read that you found the views from the property to be outstanding, and that the bed and pillows were the best you’ve had in a holiday stay. Interesting to read that you found the accommodation to be both small for a one-bedroom flat and to be overpriced; I’d be intrigued as to what you would be comparing Little Seacroft against to come to such conclusions. I understand that you may have had preferences for different furnishings and layouts; it’s very much designed to enable guests to be able to sit at the dining room table and enjoy the sea views, and to watch the TV from the comfort of the three-seater sofa. Yes, whilst the curtains in the bedroom are easy to open and close, the telescopic pole definitely makes opening and closing the skylights in the vaulted ceilings much easier; I hope you were able to find that pole. Agreed the water pressure from the hot tap in the kitchen tends to be a little low, but my general experience is that it is serviceable. Fab that the cleaners provided additional cleaning materials upon your request; thank you so much for taking such good care of Little Seacroft during your stay. Yes, the dining areas of Little Seacroft and Seacroft are at right-angles to one another, so if either side were motivated to look in, they could perhaps see something of the other property. However, given that both properties are on private land, without public access, and only one neighbour in a detached property on the other side of the building, I perceive the properties to have an exceptional level of privacy. Wonderful to read that it was overall a pleasant stay; we’d very much like to you back. Take good care, Michelle

Hello Tracy, thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. You’re absolutely the right, the shower previously had a glass door to it; however, less than 48 hours before your arrival, an incident occurred which meant it had to be replaced. Thankfully, the property manager did a fantastic job of finding a functional alternative. Duly noted about the sofa height, I appreciate your comment. Yes, the flow of the hot tap is different to the cold in the kitchen sink. Fantastic to read that your stay was memorable, enjoyable, and recommend-able, and that you’d come back again. Glad you experienced the view as breathtaking and that you managed the walk to the pubs and shops a couple of times. So very pleased that Little Seacroft is a win for you – we very much look forward to welcoming you back, take care till then, Michelle

Hello Annette, so lovely to welcome you back to Little Seacroft and wonderful to read that you continue to enjoythe location and the property. Very much look forward to you returning for a forth time. Take good care till then, Michelle

Hello Kim, so very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at Little Seacroft, and that it was perfect for the both of you and your dog. And yes, I'm with you, the views are hard to beat, as is the distance from the beach and south west coast path. And absolutely, the pubs in the village are great for both humans and their canine companions. Wonderful that you will be returning; we very much look forward to welcoming you back, take care till then, Michelle

Hello Lorely, thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m really pleased to read that Little Seacroft suited you so well and felt like the right size for both you and your dogs. It’s lovely to know that the short walk to the beach made daily outings easy and enjoyable, and I’m especially glad the underfloor heating was appreciated — by both paws and feet after beach walks. I’m also pleased that the shared garden worked well during your stay and that you found it well maintained and easy to access, even with other guests there at the same time. It’s great to hear that the games room added to your evenings and provided a relaxed option when the dogs needed a rest. Thank you again for your kind and thoughtful comments. We very much hope to have you stay again. Take good care, Michelle

Hello John, thank you very much for your kind feedback. I’m really pleased to hear that you had a lovely weekend at Little Seacroft and found the apartment well equipped for both a short break and a longer stay. It’s great to know that the views, along with the easy access to the beach and village, added to your enjoyment. I also appreciate you highlighting the village amenities and nearby food options — it’s great to read that you made the most of what the area has to offer and that your dog enjoyed the stay as well. I’m glad the smart TV and Wi-Fi met your needs, including for work. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We very much look forward to your return, take care till then, Michelle

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Mick. While I’m pleased to hear that the location, views, and access to the coast path, transport links, and village pubs worked so well for you, I am sorry to read that the cleanliness and kitchen equipment fell short of your expectations. The comments about the lack of saucepans, cutlery, and the missing chopping board are taken seriously, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this caused during your stay, although I’m glad we were able to supply the chopping board promptly once you let us know. Your feedback is extremely helpful and has been shared so these issues can be addressed and improved going forward. Thank you again for your honesty — I really do appreciate it. Take good care Mick

Hello again Jeanette, thank you very much for your kind feedback and for choosing to return to Little Seacroft once again. It’s lovely to hear that, even on your fourth stay, the property continues to provide a comfortable and relaxing break for you and your dogs. I really appreciate your comments regarding the wear from the busy summer months, and I’m glad this didn’t detract from your enjoyment of the holiday; I'll have a chat with Malcolm to explore what might benefit from am a 'refresh'. It means a great deal to know that you enjoyed your stay enough to extend it — and that you still didn’t want to leave is a wonderful compliment. We very much look forward to welcoming you back in early 2026, take care til then, Michelle

Hello Brian, that's wonderful to hear, so very please to read that Little Seacroft was ideal for yourselves and your canine companion. We very much look forward to welcoming you back, take good care till then, Michelle

Hello Victoria, thank you very much for such a detailed and generous review. I’m really pleased to hear that you found the accommodation warm, comfortable, and well equipped, and that the location and views made a strong impression. You describe two particular aspects I also really value about the property: being tucked away and private while still so close to the beach, coastal path, and village amenities. I appreciate your comments about peak season being busier due to the proximity to the beach, and it’s helpful for future guests to have that context. It’s also lovely to read your local recommendations — from beach walks and breakfast spots to evening meals and trips into Newquay — and I’m glad you were able to enjoy so much of the area despite the challenging weather. It’s a shame the conditions didn’t allow you to make full use of the garden and patio, but I’m pleased to hear that the property still worked well for you as a comfortable base. To hear that this has been one of your favourite UK self-catering holidays really means a lot to me, and I truly appreciate the endorsement. I’d be delighted to welcome you back in the future — hopefully with kinder weather next time so you can enjoy everything the property has to offer. Take good care Victoria

Hiya Jodie. Glad you liked the location, yeah, I think it is particularly well-suited to appreciate the beautiful Cornish coastline. That said, I’m sorry that you felt that the maintenance wasn’t on point. I’ve relayed your comment about the garden gates to the maintenance person; he’ll have a look and resolve any issues regarding that. In terms of the shower, the pictures are indicative of the ensuite that guests have access to, but I recognise that it wasn’t to your expectations. However, I’m going to focus my response predominantly on the door locking issue you describe. You’re right, we’ve had a couple of problems with the sliding glass door. Each time we’ve had a locksmith out, they’ve been able to repair the issue, and each time I’ve believed, seemingly naively, that it’s been permanently fixed. Given the rare, but stubborn nature of the issue, we’re now in the process of switching the doors over to ensure that the primary means of access will be via a hinged door. I know the property manager exchanged many calls and texts with you upon the issue arising, and that he offered a couple of different options to try and mitigate the impact upon your afternoon. However, I’m also aware that you didn’t feel any of those were viable options; I respect that choice and I’m sorry that further impacted your plans. From my perspective, you’ve been heavily compensated for an issue with the property that I take responsibility for. But I also understand from Sykes that you were expecting a 100% refund for the entirety of your stay, so I can see why anything less would be a disappointment. Take care Jodie, Michelle

Hiya Michelle (fab name by the way!). Fantastic to read that you had a great time at Little Seacroft and that you found it to be a lovely place to stay. Really glad that you would recommend; you are most welcome back. Take good care, Michelle

Hello Ellen, so lovely to have you back. Really pleased that you found it to be well equipped, clean and comfortable, and agreed, it is fantastically close to the beach, definitely one of the perks of the property. Yes, the view from the garden is spectacular and wonderful that your canine companions loved the garden too. Pleased that you enjoy the close proximity of the beach, village and pubs, and really Ellen you are a person after my own heart!! Nabbing a pizza from the pizza parlour and taking it down to the beach to eat as the sun starts to set is one of my favourite things to whilst at Little Seacroft! Very much looking forward to your third visit. Take really good care till then, Michelle

Hello Lauraine, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and really pleased to read that you found Little Seacroft to be cute and to have everything you needed for a great stay. Absolutely, ensuring the property is dog friendly is a core tenet of what we hope to offer, and especially glad that you found the garden to be sufficiently contained to ensure your canine companions were secure. Yes, you’re right, Little Seacroft is at the top of a slope which I personally don’t find to be particularly steep, but it definitely goes on for a while! And as you say, it is that slope which does provide the fantastic views. Keen to understand more about the ‘tiredness’ of some of the features you describe, so I’ll have a chat with the property manager; thank you for the prompt. Fantastic that you feel Little Seacroft is a great place to stay; we very much hope to welcome you back, Michelle

Hello Oliver. So wonderful to have you back! Glad you loved Little Seacroft and the location again, and especially pleased to read that you had sunny weather. Great that you experienced the facilities to be good, the accommodation to be very comfy, and the shower to be lovely and warm. Very much hope to welcome you back for your third visit! Take good care till then, Michelle.

Hello Oliver, so wonderful to read that you found Little Seacroft to be lovely and to have a fabulous view. Yes, the underfloor heating is a delight when it's cold isn't it and great that you had an enjoyable week. I'm so sorry to read about the lock though; I've just relayed this to the property manager and he's going to sort it. Thank you so much for the feedback. Take care, Michelle

Hiya Nicholas, so very pleased that you found Little Seacroft to be just what you needed for your mini break, and fab that you experienced the apartment as warm and cosy and that it had everything you needed. Hope to see you again. Take good care, Michelle

Hello Jeanette, so very pleased to read that you found the location to be absolutely fantastic, and yes, the proximity of the dog friendly beach and village, is great. Agreed, it is beautiful and wow, five dogs!! That's impressive!! So glad Little Seacroft had everything you needed for your breakaway and goodness, doubting it could be beaten is a huge endorsement, thank you. Happy that you will be returning, we look forward to welcoming you and your canine companions back soon, Michelle

Hello Jacqueline, I'm so very pleased that you found the property to be a beautiful little apartment which was very clean and nicely decorated. Great that you experienced the kitchen as lovely and equipped with everything for self-catering. Wonderful that the smart tv was easy to use; from personal experience with other TVs, I know they can sometimes be a challenge! I'm with you Jacqueline, I find the views from Little Seacroft to be spectacular too, and while there are a few places which vie for first place, the garden is my favourate place to be on the property; glad you though the garden was pretty. 'Perfection' is high praise indeed, and very happy to read that it describes your experience. We very much look forward to welcoming you back; take care till then.

Hello Andy, great to read that you found Little Seacroft both to be a lovely little cottage and to be bigger than it looks. Thank you, I worked hard to ensure most needs could be catered for when equipping property, and agreed, Little Seacroft's close proximity to the beach, coastal path, and surrounding areas, is definitely a perk. Yes, I understood from Malcolm that you'd been in contact to resolve a couple of minor issues. So very pleased, and not remotely surprised, that they were resolved quickly and efficiently; he and his team are fantastic. Great understand that you managed to get around Little Seacroft easily despite the challenges to your mobility. I think there must only be one step into the property and one step into the shower and the rest is all one level; really glad that worked for you. We very much hope to see you again soon. Take good care, Michelle

Hi Brian, fantastic to read that you found Little Seacroft to be brill. Even better to read that you'll be back; you are most, most welcome! Take good care till then, Michelle

Hiya Ellen, really wonderful to read that you found Little Seacroft to be lovely, clean, comfortable, and very dog friendly. Thank you too for your kind words about the view of Crantock beach; I'm also a big fan of it. Great that you will definitely book again, we very much look forward to having you back. Take care till then, Michelle

Hello Annette, lovely to read that you found the views to be excellent. Similarly glad that you found we'd provided everything you needed. I really liked your description of 'modern and contemporary living yet cosy'; certainly what we had been aiming for. Thank you, yes I think the setting is beautiful too, and agreed, lots of room outside for any canine companions. Fantastic that you all loved the holiday and very much look forward to you returning. Take care till then, Michelle

Hello Steve, so very pleased to read that you loved your stay at Little Seacroft; wonderful that you found the location to be perfect and the accommodation to be very comfortable. We very much look forward to having you back. Take good care till then, Michelle

Dear Tracey, so pleased to read that you loved loved Little Seacroft, especially that you appreciated the attention to detail and the property being well thought out. Glad to read you found it to be very warm and comfortable, and fab that you feel the photos don’t do it justice; sounds like you might have enjoyed Little Seacroft even more than you expected! Absolutely, while the enclosed space you refer to is officially a communal area as it is the location of the outside shower, outside tap, and wood pile, I’m 100% in agreement with you that it would just feel a little more contained if an additional gate was mounted in that area. As I’m sure you will have seen, the frame for the gate has been mounted, and following your comments, I enquired about the progress of the gate today. Pleased to report that it should be fitted imminently and so, at whatever point you return, you can rest assured that the new gate shall be waiting for you and your canine companions. Take really good care till then Tracey.

Hello Leanne, thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Little Seacroft. Really pleased to read that you found the property to be beautiful and that it had stunning views. Yes, I’m with you, the changeover company are awesome, and do a fantastic job of ensuring wonderfully high standards of cleanliness. Glad also to read that you found the bed to be extremely comfortable and that the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment needed. Thank you too for your honest feedback about the height of the sofa. It is so very difficult to create an environment which meets everyone’s favoured choice because as a species, we are so fantastically diverse; of course, you very kindly acknowledged this in your caveat ‘this was just personal opinion’. Nevertheless Leanne, I am sorry that it didn’t meet your preference. My hope, and reassuringly, my sense from your review, is that it didn’t impact too detrimentally upon your stay, especially as you found the village of Crantock to be lovely. Take good care Leanne, Michelle.

Hello Philip, thank you for sharing your experience; glad you that found Little Seacroft to be in a lovely location, that it was clean, and that it was well appointed. Thank you too for your constructive feedback, albeit I also hear you describing your comments as very minor irritations. I’m sorry to read that there was no dishcloth, that must have been an inconvenience for you. A clean dishcloth is scheduled to be provided at each changeover and was evidently overlooked prior to your stay, please accept my apologies and be assured that one would be available to you should you return. I’m also sorry to read that you found the blower in the kitchen to be a pain overnight. In light of your feedback, the property manager and I have reprogrammed this with the hope of making it more accessible to future guests. In terms of your comment about the compost bins being all the way over by the games room, I can very much empathise with you on the occasions that I have gone to take the compost out on a torrentially rainy day… at those times, it feels like a mission!! Part of the complexity is that because the garden is so very large and open, I’ve opted to prioritise sheltering the compost bins between the games room and the shed to avoid them being blown over in the occasional, but sometimes very intense, storm. Nevertheless, I shall think more upon your comment and whether there might be a more appropriate place to situate them closer to the house. (And hands up, the environmentalist in me is really very pleased to read of your use of the compost bins. Although I’d hoped they would continue to be used, I wasn’t sure if there was value in keeping them when I made the house available to guests, so thank you affirming my decision.) Take really good care Philip, Michelle

Dear Angela, wonderful to read that you found Little Seacroft to be warm and cosy, and in a great location. Thank you for acknowledging my thought and effort in seeking to make sure you and other guests are comfortable. Glad that you found the facilities to be excellent and there to be lots of mod cons. Fab that you experienced there to be a good selection of streaming services too. Hands up, when I bought the TV, whilst I did a lot of research, I was both surprised and impressed by the feature that allows guests the opportunity to personalise the use of the TV for the duration of their stay and then for the TV to automatically wipe those settings for the next guest to use it afresh – so clever, especially when someone might also have their own streaming account they want access to while they’re away, but don’t want the hassle of repeatedly signing in and out. How lovely to have two big canine companions with you, and great that they were able to fully make use of the large garden; agreed, it is a well-suited space for dogs to have a good play. I feel very happy to read that you shall certainly be staying at Little Seacroft again, and I very much forward to you returning. Take good care till then, Michelle

Dear Caroline, I’m so very pleased to read that Little Seacroft is undoubtedly the best place you have had the pleasure to stay in; your words mean all the more given that you are obviously exceptionally familiar with the area and the local alternative accommodation. Glad that you found it to be spot on, warm and cosy, that the settee and the bed were comfortable, and that the bedding and towels were top quality. Thank you for your kind words about the cleanliness, the modern features, and for highlighting that the essentials, and more, are provided. I’m in agreement with you, I find the garden to be a delight too, and I think it is one of the best places to enjoy those ‘outstanding views’ as you describe them. I’m so sorry to read of the loss of your beloved dog; I hope you have many happy memories with him that provide you comfort, and that scattering his ashes was an experience which brings you peace. You’re absolutely correct Caroline, I do really care about my guests, and I have a wonderful team of property managers and cleaners who are equally passionate about providing the best possible guest experience whilst staying at Little Seacroft. It genuinely brings me joy to read that you felt cared about during your stay. I look forward to your repeated visits later in the year. Take good care till then, Michelle

Dear George, I’m so very pleased to read that you found Little Seacroft to be so lovely. Yes, the underfloor heating is delightful isn’t it, I’ve always enjoyed the feeling of that underfoot. Glad that you found it to be exceptionally clean; I have a wonderful team that are now facilitating the changeovers and managing the property. Absolutely, the views are an exceptional asset to Little Seacroft as well as the close proximity to the beach, shops, and pubs. And I’m 100% with you, I think Crantock is one of the best beaches in Cornwall too. Wonderful that you found the off-road parking and large garden to be useful, the king-size bed to be very comfortable, and the shared games room to be a bonus. I think you make a really valid point regarding the coat stand. Following your comment, one has been ordered; thank you for the suggestion. Fantastic to read that you would definitely return; when you do, bring all your coats, you can test out the new feature! Take good care, Michelle

Dear Jayne, so pleased you were able to return to Little Seacroft, that you had a perfect stay and that you found it to be spotlessly clean. Fab that you experienced the property to be in a lovely location and that it had everything you needed. Glad you'd love to stay again; you are most certainly always, always welcome. Take good care, Michelle

Dear Jayne I am so sorry to read your experience. As you may have read in the property handbook, this is my first foray into holiday letting. I had employed a local cleaning company who had been highly recommended, and I am most disappointed, and angry on your behalf, that the cleaning wasn’t completed to the standard that you or I would expect of a holiday home. I really appreciate the time you have taken to comment upon your experience, and your words have made a tangible and beneficial impact on Little Seacroft. I can assure you, that should you and your human and canine companions wish to return, your experience would be very different as I have subsequently employed a different cleaning company to prevent this ever happening again. Additionally, I would like to thank you for the even-handedness of your feedback, particularly your reference to the ‘lovely location’, describing the property as being ‘well-equipped’, and stating that had the cleaning not been an issue, that you would have ‘rated this property highly’. I can understand that many people in a similar situation may not have felt inclined to present such a balanced perspective, so I would like to thank you specifically for your kindness in doing so. Take good care, Michelle
