Great spot in the village for the local pubs, shop and bus stop. Easy walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. We loved it!

Clean , enjoyed our stay as always

Great location with a short walk to the beach and being in easy reach of the Eden project, Padstow, St Ives etc.

Property has been beautifully designed and furnished with great bathroom and generous bath. Does just need a really good spring clean and would benefit from a more effective vacuum together with a thicker duvet for those who don’t want to use the albeit beautiful eiderdown.

The Bolthole is such a lovely place to stay.

Everything you need very clean and welcoming. We even had a Ninja air fryer this time to try different dishes. Crantock is such a lovely village with its thatched cottages and so many beautiful walks from the door.

Stayed here many times before and we always find in enjoyable.

Enjoyed are visit to The Bolthole but do feel there are some issues that need attention.

We had a problem with bathroom tap which was sorted for us but do feel that the property needs some TLC. Maintenance issues need addressing. Cosy little cottage in a good location, plenty of room for us and our four legged friend.

Very comfy place to stay.

Enjoyed sitting in the paved area as well when it was warmer. Nice touches with flowers, scones, milk, tea and coffee when we arrived. Great location in the village and close to the beach and walks around the coast.

This time being no exception. Toilet seat needs attention and the mattress is starting to ware but these are very small issues and this is a great place to stay. Central location, well designed, warm and parking is no problem. (10/10).

Our third stay in this cosy and well equipped cottage, we have rebooked for next year.

What was always a wonderful place to stay turned out to be even better than we remembered. There really is nowhere else we'd rather be.

Another wonderful stay in this gem of a holiday cottage.

It may be time to have the patio area cleaned as it does become quite slippery after any rainfall.

Beautiful property, exactly as described, the Bolthole is the perfect place for 2 with everything you need.

It’s bright airy, has a huge comfortable bed, along with a good sized bathroom. The village it sits in is wonderful as are the locals Highly recommended property with lovely house keepers and owners

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bolthole, perfectly placed in the village for the local shop and three places if necessary to eat out.

However, we loved our home comforts so much we chose to say in most evenings and cook for ourselves. The weather at times was very wet and windy, the dog didnt seem to mind but The Bolthole provided a cosy warm return in order to get dry and settle in for the evening. A well equipped property, we appreciated the lovely touches on arrival of fresh flowers and a cream tea. All in all, nothing negative to say and would certainly consider returning to The Bolthole. We had a fantastic 10 day stay at the Bolthole.

The accommodation was perfect for my partner and I. The accommodation was spotless and the perfect size for two. Its location within Crantock Village cannot be faulted less than 30 seconds to the local shop - fantastic bread by the way! A two minute walk to two great village pubs. The beach is less than 10 minutes. Our two dogs can with us and they loved the many walks around Crantock. I could not fault the Bolthole all the village we will be back!

Fantastic place to stay

A wonderful break which was much needed!

The two of us and our 2 dogs spent 3 nights at the Bolthole and it could not have been better. The booking was easy, the information provided was accurate and comprehensive and the local agent, Pauline, gave prompt answers to the few questions we had. The property is exactly as described and of a very high standard and the welcome cream tea was much appreciated. The location is perfect with proximity to the beach and local walks and the village pubs and shop were ideal. We had a fantastic time and will be returning!

Been here 4 times so convenient for the 2 pubs 5 mins away Crantock beach 10 mins away and the village is so quite at night The Bolthole is ideal for 2 people & 2 small dogs and as everything you want nice little place oh and parking

My partner and I stayed here for a week in February 2022 and enjoyed it thoroughly, the beach was only a 10 minute walk and there was a pub and shop nearby which was helpful.

The cottage itself was lovely, however I do wish there would’ve been blinds or mottled windows at the front of the cottage for security purposes as at nighttime it feels as though people can see in. The only problem we encountered was that storm Eunice hit and a request to check out slightly later than planned to avoid the worst of the storm (red weather warning) was not accommodated and we ended up having to leave before the storm began (5am) to make sure we would be safe. It was slightly difficult to find at first but I wouldn’t have any reason not to recommend it to others. Lovely cream tea upon arrival and overall a really nice week away. Thank you.

Superb holiday cottage for two!

This was such a gorgeous place to stay.

We loved exploring Cornwall but equally loved coming ‘home’ in the evening. Beautifully decorated and a super comfy sofa and bed we had a wonderful visit, and hope we can visit again next year.

Perfect accommodation - had everything we needed.

It is a gorgeous cottage, comfortable and in a fantastic location. We will definitely book again.

It's a lovely property in a perfect location and ideal for a couple.

We reported an issue with the ice compartment in the fridge, which drips and water then accumulates on items kept in the fridge. We suspect this is because the fridge itself has not been installed correctly and is leaning backwards inside the unit. Certainly the door leans inwards at the top, outwards at the bottom.

Lovely accommodation in a great wee village.

Now that we are moving through with Covid normal service should return with regards to the stripping of beds etc on leaving the property !

The bathroom had mold in places , plus in the shower that I cleaned , so much better when I left having cleaned every day !!!

Fantastic little hideaway we had another amazing holiday.

The cottage kitchen could do with a little work on it the dishwasher is not fixed in properly . But that doesn’t take anything away from a wonderful cottage that is perfect for a quiet stay .

We absolutely loved our stay at The Bolthole!

The accommodation itself was perfect for us, clean, fresh and modern but also really cosy. Everything we could have needed was provided, along with some really nice additional touches that we weren't expecting. The outside space was great for the dogs. The location was fantastic as well, right in the heart of the village, with facilities all within easy walking distance. We stayed for 3 nights and would have happily stayed for longer!

Property is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We had a lovely relaxing stay here.

We arrive at the bolthole tired after a long journey, we were so please to find that tea, coffee, fresh milk and a proper clotted cream tea was waiting for us, delicious.

There was fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly too. The place was instantly warm and inviting. Parking is good, right outside in a shared driveway. Crantock is a pretty village, the shop next door was well stocked and the local pubs are a two minute walk, the old Albion was more us and the food is amazing. The Cornishman was lovely and all very new, we used both, the airstream burger van is a bonus too, really good food. The beach is gorgeous, so clean, but if it’s the sea you’re after be prepared to walk ;) The supermarkets are a few minutes drive and your in the middle for other attractions such as Tintagel and lands end, both about an hour away by car. We would definitely recommend the bolthole and hope to return soon.

Been here 3 times great place for a couple with 2 small dogs great location 5 minutes to beach and 2 minutes to 2 pubs and loads of places to walk would recommend it would return.

Cottage very good overall but personally would of preferred blind in bathroom to make it cosier and more private also over front door.

Non slip shower mat would be useful. Directions could of been clearer. Lots of lovely walks from the cottage and a great beach on your doorstep Our dog loved it. Enjoyable stay .

Our 2nd visit to The Bolthole.

Ideal for 2 people and 2 dogs. The cottage is modern, clean and well equipped. We received all the appliance leaflets by email before our trip with lots of other useful information about the area. Recommended it to a couple we met who had visited Crantock and said they would love to stay there. Excellent location too with a 10 minute walk to the beach, 2 mins to shop and a choice of 2 pubs. Also a lovely cafe that served pizza Thursday-Sunday evenings. Brilliant stay and hope to be back.

A wonderful accommodation that fulfils the website description.

The location within the village is perfect. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful village and a stunning beach within easy walking distance.

We have stayed at the bolhole for 3 years running and have really found nothing to match it the accommodation facilities and local amenities are fab and so near the beach and walks however when looking to book for next year the price rises are astronomical I know we have had covid but most weeks were booked at the bolt hole so I am disappointed at the 50% rise and we will not be booking next year.

The Bolthole is exactly what it says.

Small but perfectly formed. Absolutely lovely for a couple (or with a baby). Everything very clean and well presented and the fresh flowers and welcome pack was a great touch. Pauline was very responsive when we had a minor problem with the dishwasher and it was sorted immediately. We loved it and would not hesitate to go back - even with next door with our family. Everything was as stated on line.

The photographs were an accurate representation of the cottage. Very comfortable and clean throughout.

We really loved this break and were very pleased with the bolthole and the service from the staff.

We come to Cornwall 2 / 3 times a year and we will be booking this place again.

Obviously with the COVID restrictions certain items have Been removed from the property and they is no house keeping if you are staying for two weeks .

Clean linen Was delivered but you have to put this on the bed yourself. This doesn’t take long and is not a problem if it means you can have your holiday. If you have been to Crantock before there is a new place to eat called the Jam Jar very good Pizza’s. Another amazing holiday in this beautiful place .

Having last visited Cornwall in 2016 we knew immediately we wanted to stay in Crantock again and what better accommodation could we have chosen than The Bolthole!

Central location, on site parking, all the facilities we could need for us, our 18 month toddler and 2 boxer dogs. Beautiful, light and airey space, all on one level (which away from home without stair gates was an added bonus not having to worry about little one navigating steps she wasn’t used to!) Pauline the house manager was more than helpful when required. We hope to return to The Bolthole again in the future, thank you again!

A lovely little cottage, cosy and spotlessly clean, the huge bed was so comfortable and everything we could possibly need was catered for.

The welcome pack with scones, cream, jam, prosecco, milk, tea and coffee was a lovely surprise and most welcome. The setting is perfect with a dog friendly beach, pretty village location, pub with excellent food, village shop and café all on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend The Bolthole and we would love to go back for another restful holiday.

Lovely Christmas break in an exceptionally well equipped cottage .

Throughly enjoyed a relaxing break and the mince pies and Christmas tree was a lovely touch to welcome us . Definitely would stay again .

Perfectly located cosy cottage in the chocolate box village of Crantock.

As always, the Bolthole was the ideal place to relax.

Clean and well prepared - the Prosecco and scones, cream & jam on arrival was a lovely touch. A wonderful week that went too quickly.

The cottage had been refreshed from our last visit with new kitchen equipment which made cooking easier and decorated through out.

It was just right for us (a couple with 2 dogs).

The cottage has been done to a great standard and has a lovely modern finish. The welcome pack was really appreciated after a long journey. The location couldn’t be better with 2 pubs and a local shop within 2 minutes walk. Also, we enjoyed leaving the car behind and being able to walk to the beautiful Crantock Beach where dogs are welcome all year round. We would definitely book again.

Tha location is fab.

We loved the bolthole very much to our taste contemporary and comfortable.

The super kingsize bed was really nice i had a bit of room for a change the surrounding area was beutiful we walked miles with the dog. The bolthole is very well placed convenience store just across the road two pubs a stones throw and the beach just down the road although road was very busy. I was also impressed with the regular bus service. A smart telly would have been nice for evenings we like films although a dvd was availabe. This was our first holiday in this country for 19 years because of the dog but we will definately be revisiting sue ridgway

We both really enjoyed the village, the location was perfect, as was the accommodation.

Super place for a couple that want to get away from it all.

The cottage has been well done and has everything you could need. Great walks, beautiful beach and the pub is literally a 5 min walk away.

Another wonderful holiday in Cornwall great cottage however this time we had real trouble receiving a TV signal in the middle of winter you expect to spend more time in your holiday home and to struggle with the TV was disappointing and it is such a simple fix for a cottage if this standard.

It has everything you need for a perfect relaxing stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Five minutes from the beautiful beach. We shall definitely be back!

Another brilliant holiday in Cornwall.

Cottage was as always clean and tidy.

We think it would be a good idea to incorporate a hit tub in the courtyard as you do not get a lit of sun in it to sunbath

Perfectly designed for 2.

Right in the centre of the village but with a small private garden where you can always catch some sun (or shade). Well equipped and very clean (property accepts dogs - but not a dog hair to be found). Off road parking is a real bonus in Crantock - I would recommend this property and would certainly return again.
