“We had an amazing stay at this holiday home in Crantock, Cornwall.”

The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach and a 5 minute walk to two lovely pubs. The well-stocked shop nearby was convenient for picking up any essentials we needed, along with fresh Cornish pastys and sausage rolls each day. There was a lovely park which was less than a 2 minute walk from the house which was great for the children to play in and next to an electric car charging point which was useful for us. The house itself was cozy and homely, with a TV that could access Netflix, Iplayer etc. The house had all things needed for a week’s stay and the owner was easily contactable. We also appreciated the convenience of the bus stop at the end of the road, making it easy to explore the nearby towns of Newquay and Truro. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this holiday home.

The property

Situated in one of the most exceptional locations on the Cornish coast in the charming village of Crantock, is ‘Eloen’, a beautifully appointed property resting just moments away from azure waters of Crantock and Poly Joke Beach, and within striking distance of the popular harbour-town of Newquay.

This outstanding property is immaculately presented, with stylish modern furnishings as well as carefully selected antiques, to offer guests an exceptional self-catering experience with a plethora of things to see and do, varied enough for all ages to enjoy.

Upon entering the property, discover the entrance hallway, which grants access to the sitting room, where the pastel colour palette creates a welcoming ambiance and the plush seating arrangement invites you in to relax.

Return to the hallway to discover the light-filled kitchen/diner, featuring patio doors, allowing a seamless integration of the outside in.

Featuring a modern kitchen suite, complete with high-quality appliances, answering all of your self-catering family needs.

Enjoy the company of your loved ones at the spacious dining table or head out into the south-facing garden, where tables and chairs offer an alternative spot for alfresco dining.

As the evening draws to a close, take the staircase to find three bedrooms on the first floor, comprising of a king bedroom, a generous twin bedroom (which can also be made up as a super-king), and a single bedroom (or writing room for those who are seeking some inspiration while working remotely), whilst the master suite (with en-suite shower room) lies on the second floor, and is notable for its impressive view out of the large north-facing windows from which you can watch the ocean, see Trevose Head lighthouse blinking in the distance, or catch a glimpse of the stars at night.

If you can tear yourself away from this charming oasis, stroll into the centre of Crantock village, where you will be delighted to find an array of shops, pubs and a café, as well as direct access to Crantock Beach, where you can soak up the sunshine on the large expanse of golden sands or, if you are feeling adventurous, dip into the waters to try your hand at swimming, snorkelling, surfing, kayaking and paddle-boarding, and if you are lucky, catch a glimpse of the dolphins which occasionally visit, too! For the avid ramblers amongst the group, the South West Coastal Path promises to be an unforgettable adventure, with awe-inspiring views, that takes you through several stunning locations, including Poly Joke for some seal spotting, Perranporth, and the St Agnes Heritage Coast.

Crantock and Newquay are fast becoming foodie destinations: try the Jam Jar Kitchen in Crantock for delicious high-end coffee, cakes, breakfasts, evening cocktails and pizzas; or in Newquay you can choose from superior quality cafes like Pavilion (bakery and deli), Sprout (also a fantastic health food store), Jam Jar, Box and Barber, and Grounded.

There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby with views of the sea, such as The Boathouse, The Harbour Fish & Grill, and C-Bay Café and Bistro.

There are also several beautiful National Trust properties nearby, such as the delightful house and garden at Trerice just up the road, and Trelissick and Lanhydrock a bit further afield.

Those with children can look forward to visiting the nearby town of Newquay, where you will find a choice of three beaches with an endless supply of rolling surf, as well as family-friendly attractions.

With so much to see and do, bring your loved ones to ‘Eloen’ in Crantock to share a fun-filled holiday.
