    “We had a fantastic 2 week stay at The Waves.”

    The house is well equipped, with everything you could possibly need! The beds were so comfortable, we both had the best nights sleep. Crantock is a lovely village and this was our second time staying in the village. Two good pubs less than a 5 minutes walk away, our favourite is the Cornishman, the Sunday Lunch is amazing! We love making use of the costal path and the views are stunning. Our dogs loved Crantock beach. The most relaxing two weeks, I would highly recommend The Waves, we’ve ...

Close to the centre of Crantock, boasting views of the nearby fields filled with grazing horses and a pretty church, is The Waves, a delightful retreat, ideal for a couple, small family or group wanting to enjoy a peaceful coastal escape, while also being within easy reach of the bustling Newquay and the incredible north Cornwall coast.

Step inside this loving property to discover a welcoming open-plan living space with a seating area, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day on the sofa with a great book or a movie night, while the patio doors open onto an enclosed patio, where you can enjoy the last of the afternoon sunshine with a glass of wine, or an alfresco dinner in Cornwall's favourable sub-tropical climate.

The Gannel Estuary is also close by, and is excellent for birdwatching and watersports, while at low tide, you can cross the river by foot bridge to access to the town of Newquay.

Adventurers will relish the opportunity to wander the South West Coast Path, which spans 630 miles, encompassing incredible sandy beaches like Perranporth and the magnificent St Agnes Heritage Coast.

The bustling town of Newquay, the surfing hub of Cornwall, boasts three fantastic beaches, all excellent for watersports, and beginners can take lessons at the surf school.

Trenance Gardens has a scenic boating lake and restaurant and café for grabbing a bite to eat, while family-friendly attractions can be discovered at Blue Reef Aquarium, with its host of exotic underwater species, and Newquay Zoo, home to many endangered animals and set amidst 13 acres.

The Elizabethan manor house of Trerice is within driving distance, boasting formal gardens and an on-site restaurant, while the iconic Eden Project and the city of Truro are also within easy reach.

Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
