“We have just returned from a week's stay and without a doubt would thoroughly recommend booking here.”

..we didn't want to come home! The owners have thought of every comfort you may need. We truly wouldn't change anything. Everything that was left for us to use from the bedding, towels and kitchen equipment was of high quality, even family games were provided. The property is set in lovely quiet surroundings overlooking fields to the sea beyond and so peaceful. The hot tub is a wonderful addition and just what you need after a day on one of the lovely nearby beaches. We even met the property ...

This property truly is a gem and so glad we found it.

We wanted to say a BIG thankyou, for not only great feedback but also for respecting our home and leaving it in such a tidy manner. As you have experienced, the location is ideally suited to visit the beautiful Cornish beaches and walks, returning 'home' to enjoy the peacefulness and hot tub... Do come back 'home', you are always welcome. Property Owner

The cottage accommodates six people and is the perfect choice for families and groups, offering expansive views of the nearby farmland, and private gardens with patio spaces, a hot tub, and a barbeque, as well as a roomy living arrangement.

Take care of your group's needs in the well-equipped kitchen before sitting down to a meal at the elegant six-seat table or perhaps in the suntrap conservatory?

If you enjoy being outside, consider having a barbecue lunch outside while the hot tub warms up.

Before you rest your eyes in one of the three tastefully decorated bedrooms, gather around the woodburning stove in the homey sitting room.

The cottage is fully equipped with a sleek bathroom and a chic ground-floor shower room to provide complete flexibility, regardless of your visit.

After leaving Spring Lodge, head to Kilkhampton, where you can find The London Inn, for some pub food or perhaps a late-night drink while getting the necessities at the nearby Co-op.

A short drive will bring you to Cornwall's south-west coastal route, which is ideal to follow if you enjoy breath-taking vistas and the sea air.

You can also relax at Welcombe Mouth Beach or visit The Ultimate Adventure Centre, which offers a variety of outdoor sports, including marine coasteering.

As you approach Bude, cool down in the semi-natural blue sea pool, or if you’d prefer to spend your time on foot, Tintagel Castle and Bude Castle are must-sees, both rich in local history.

If you turn north, you'll find The Clovelly Waterfall, which is hidden inside a cave, Hartland Abbey, a stately mansion that offers guided tours, and St. Catherine's Tor, which offers clifftop views over North Devon.

Make Spring Lodge your home base when touring Cornwall.

About the location

KILKHAMPTON

Bude 4 miles.

Kilkhampton is an historic Cornish village, 4 miles from the popular Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s premier holiday locations. With its old church, village shops and atmospheric village pubs, Kilkhampton is a lovely place to relax after a hard day exploring the stunning beaches and spectacular coastal scenery for which the area is famous. Bude’s beaches attract surfers from all over the country and when conditions are right you’d be hard pushed to find better surf. When the tide is out, miles of golden sand and hundreds of rock pools keep visitors occupied for hours. The South West Coast Path, and many other rights-of-way winding over the clifftops and through lush green fields looking out over the sea, make this area a haven for walkers and lovers of the open countryside. For those who prefer staying closer to home, a good shopping centre and a selection of pubs, two clubs and restaurants are on offer. Bude canal, a registered nature reserve, passes through the town, and rowing a boat along its calm waters or walking the towpath among the beautiful (and friendly) water fowl that live among the reeds is a great way to spend an hour or two. Within the area there are also 2 golf courses, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley at the leisure centre. A perfect location for all that North Cornwall has to offer.
