“We loved our holiday at Flushing Meadow, helped by the fabulous weather.”

This old house has a lovely feel to it, clean and well equipped with thoughtful touches. The milk, tea, coffee and cream tea on arrival was very welcome, and lots of books, puzzles , DVDs and games to use. A separate utility and drying area is very useful. The view from the large mature garden was beautiful, and we spent a lot of time watching the estuary and the garden wildlife, whilst listening to the birdsong. The outside furniture could probably do with updating, but that didn’t stop us ...

The outside furniture could probably do with updating, but that didn’t stop us using it. The house is very private, with neighbours, at the end of a lot of narrow Cornish lanes, so beware ! Sat Nav may take you the quickest route, but it might not be the easiest. It seems to be generally about 45 mins to get anywhere in the car. We found we didn’t need to go out too much, as the weather was great, and you can access the South West coast path and little coves within a 5 min walk down the hill. We had a couple of issues on arrival, which took a couple of days to sort out, after several conversations with customer service , ( no hot water, and I hope the engineer has passed on his findings about the emergency hot water emersion heater, which tripped the system when instructed to use it) It didn’t however impact our enjoyment of a great relaxing holiday. Would love to return sometime.
